Barneys Farm Sponsors Grow: Gorilla Zkittles, Orange Sherbert Plus Many More

I'm thinking of using canopy rings for mine, the perlite gets a bit unstable when they get big, and they could use the extra support.
She definitely needs some sort of support. A net would have been a good idea with this one

Nice defol on the POG. She’s definitely my fav.
Happy Father’s Day Prof!!
Thanks HH! We had a lazy day watching kids movies as it was raining. We had a picnic on the lounge floor as well lol. The POG is going to look like a bush again soon. I'm certain the trimming is not over for this one :)

I'm sorry if I may start to sound like a broken record here... but things are looking so impressive in your garden Prof! :adore::headbanger: The seedlings are in perfect health, OS & GZ are both packing on the frost now! And the POG... who knows what kinda monster she's gonna turn out as!

Lol. Don't worry Irie. Most of my favourite records are broken but I still kept them! I just went in for a quick check after work and all still look good. The POG is getting a healthy helping of frost now and the other 2 are continuing to flower nicely. The only problem at the moment is the GZ is going to hit the deck any day now. I'm going around the house and garden looking for bamboo canes and anything to help stake her. When I opened the tent I had to hold her in with my forearm lol. First world problems eh :)

Amazing how different that POG looks with the defol. Those lower buds are screaming for sunglasses! I had no idea all the pistilly goodness hiding down under that foliage, and it looks great :thumb:

The babies are coming along nicely, and I love the glow around the edges of the leaves in those pics. And if something is going to get floppy, let it be your GZ ;).
The POG is certainly giving Mrs Flora a good run for her money in my favourite girl department! Her bud sites didn't stretch apart despite being in the shade of all those leaves.

The camera seems to have problems with focusing on seedlings. It can't pick them up properly unless you get really close. Today's pics are more normal again

The GZ has flopped lol. She flopped the right way though so I still have time to support her. The canes I found earlier were far too short. So I'll try again tomorrow

More pics coming up!

Veg Tent Update....

More nice growth on these 4. I'm looking forward to some more energetic strains and was a little disappointed by the loss of the previous 2 seedlings. We shouldn't have to wait much longer than we would have before to see them flower. I was going to do larger plants like I did with the GZ and OS but these will probably be a bit smaller than planned. Though they are advertised as being tall strains so they may get quite large. Anyway, they're small at the moment and here they are....

Nice looking Ladies u have :)
I also grow now for the second time Barney's-Farm seeds and I'm very convinced from this breeder!

Do u add additional CO2 and what for LED's do u use?
Hey Teleon. Thank you very much. There's no CO2 or much of anything else extra really. I'm just using MegaCrop as nutrients and an assortment of different led units. Some are actual grow lights and some are just floodlights. The floodlights are great at vegging but I'm too scared to do a full flowering cycle using them on their own.

Flowering Day 22....

I think I can safely say that a good trim has done her wonders. She's due a watering tomorrow so I'll use that opportunity to decrease her nutrient levels a little as I think she won't need quite as much food now that she doesn't have as many leaves. The defol has really helped to reduce the thrip population however they are still there. The leaves will be back soon and the thrip problem will begin all over again if I don't use this opportunity to get rid of as many as I can. Overall I was very happy to see this one today. It's a pleasure to see something going so well with all the ups and downs we've had. Here she is....

:high-five:

U should add extra CO2, my Ladies seems to love it. But u need to have a CO2 meter or whatever to hold in in, for you, safe values ^^

But u dont use any LED from a Brand like Osram or Samsung? just ordinary china "grow" lights? (sorry nothing against your lights :sorry:)
I have 2 Irish made grow lights that use 100w Luminus COB's which I'm using for the Gorilla Zkittles and the Orange Sherbert. They do a pretty decent job for the power that they consume. I've never really thought about going down the CO2 route as it seems like more expense and more work. I'm trying to keep things as simple as I can and still achieve good results though things can often go off track lol
I can almost feel the breeze blowing through the lowers!
lol. Just gotta keep it that way now

There are worse problems of course like not having enough jars for your bud

To give them CO2 isnt expensive at all... all u need is citric acid and bicarbonate of soda ;)

U should rlly go for high quality LED's like Samsung and Osram, in the mid power range the values are unbreakable...my 3000K Samsung LM301B have more than 200 Lumen/Watt .... no LED has more at the moment. That's how u safe money and energy ;)

Flowering Day 36....

So we conclude today's updates with the 2 most advanced flowering plants. Floppy GZ and rock solid OS. I seem to remember Fl3tch mentioning that the GZ needed support but did I listen? Not a problem if you're prepared for it. She's one sticky plant though. It's going to be horrible getting in there to tie her up lol. The OS is beginning to develop a rich citrus scent if you rub one of the sugar leaves with your finger. The combined smell when you open the tent is amazing. It's pretty full on already. I'm going to lower the nutrient strength with these 2 as well as I can see a bit of curling in the OS upper leaves and she also has a little bit of tip burn. Other than that all is well....
