Barneys Farm Sponsors Grow: Gorilla Zkittles, Orange Sherbert Plus Many More

Purple Punch....

Still much of the same with this one. She's a couple days behind the soil plants so is on day 22 of flower. Again I reduced her nutes and have given her another trim though you can barely tell this time. Hopefully her top leaves won't get anyone shabby for a while. She's caught up with the others and doesn't seem to be hindered in any way. I can't take the roots out of the top of the pot anymore as they're too big now. I remember when she looked almost dead with her slimy root system and rough looking leaves. Great turnaround for her. She smells pretty strong and is becoming very sticky now. I've got some lovely warm pics for your sorry eyes today....

Plants looking on point prof. Some nice buds forming already:thumb:

I thought about trying that this winter to cut down on electricity costs by not running a heater. Good point about the humidity getting high never thought of that don't really like the idea of pumping really humid air into my garage and effecting the stuff I store in there.
I'm not joking when I say that humidity can go through the roof. It's like walkimg into a sauna if you walk into an unvented room. There been a couple times when I've had an extraction fan fail and I've opened the tent to find puddles on the floor. I tried to keep this room sealed up last winter when the temps in the grow room went down to 4C at night. After about 3 hours it was 30C in the actual room with the tents opened up and the humidity was 99%. I did have an idea to cut a hole in the wall and vent into the hallway outside of the grow room. This way it would disperse around the entire house and hopefully take the chill out of the air. We never did try it though so I don't know if it would have worked

Sorry to drag you back @N420 but it's a great point. There's a lot of energy wasted when we vent out of a window. It'd be great if it could be used to heat our homes. A problem would be maintaining the filter. It's surprising how much you can get used to the smell only for someone else to walk in and get blown away lol

years ago my brother in law grew with hps bulbs in air cooled hoods. he disconnected the heating vent in his living room and attached the ducting from the hoods and blew the warm air into his living room. The air didn't smell because it was ducted through the lights from outside the air never went into the grow space.

I was thinking I might get a oil filled heater because they are alot more efficient then the fan style I used last winter. Some of the oil ones have adjustable settings to use less power.

My other thought is to use 2 cmh lights in my tent which would produce more heat then the LEDs. Would have to supplement with heat during lights off though.

It's funny you mentioned that I think I'm nose blind to the smell. We were at a friend's house at the weekend he was in the middle of harvesting his outdoor plants. His wife was freaking out about the smell she said she could smell it when he opened the garage door where he was drying it. I couldn't smell a thing I said " I dunno I can't smell anything but I'm pretty used to it" lol.

I use an oil filled heater in the tent. IIRC, 600, 900, and 1200 watts.

It says it comes in 1g or 0.5g pots. I bet a gram of pollen would go a pretty long way. If you could afford it then you could get several pots and pollenate the same plant with different strains.

He's gonna have to learn how to strike a match with his feet.

Lol. HH is on her best behaviour. Vanilla Kush is is my secret new favourite....until just then

didnt some guy make a steam powered rocket a couple years back to go up there and have a look for himself....what did you see GG?

I recirculated air before to make use of the heat but the humidity sky rockets. Do it during lights on but vent back outside at night.
Bloody in laws!
I plan on running the dehumidifier i got so cheap as it is eco friendly and turns out , is also a very intelligent and tech bit of kit. it runs a fan every 15 mins to sense the air properly and if needed it kicks in before it starts to build up to keep the running costs down and prolong the motor too. it is designed for long term continual use in boats and caravans whole stored . Fell very lucky with it tbh. I want to try and get a good grip on the environment again now. been in this house nearly 2 years and had to "scrub down" to attic so many times already. Need these idiots to be done and the i can crack on. I want to build a unit for the exhausted air to meet the fresh incoming air which should collect the majority of moisture before it goes back to the dehumidifier's intake and back into the room scrubbed and replenished with fresh air onto my fans. I also want to try pushing air across-up-over to my filter instead of the usual spiralling tube of air upwards. Thinking along the lines of how wind really moves through these wind germinated plants and certainly doesnt funnel.lol I would love to have time to research the actual moons cycle and light output to bring that into the mix too. Seen some very expensive led that actually wake the plants up and put them back to sleep with bandwidth. love the idea of those but cannot ever imagine the outlay.lol
so.e.amazing tech gwan lol. even a sound wave generator to open the minute stoma and root hairs for more feeding too , not to mention injecting oxygen into the root ball with pumps. mind blowing stuff.

on the rocket thing. elon musk was clearly whistleblowing with his car into space sideshiw and mainstream missed the irony. It passed Mars in less than 24 hours !!!!!!!!!. A spaceman , in a car ,playing Ziggy stardust on the radio and all being live streamed!!!!.He has since been expelled from so many "reputable" projects and orgs and villified. They use his interest in weed to further try to discredit his open dialogue about Alien tech ect...
Seen some very scary and damning evidence from govt archives and personal research for years too Prof. lol

research the actual moons cycle and light
Moon light won't do anything to your plant. It stays under or up to 5 ppfd(1 lux.). This isn't enough to effect any plant functions.
Gravity OTOH has quite an effect on many living things. This is what you should be looking at. This will impact plant function. How much it does is debatable.
There is something like 8,000 years of anecdotal evidence if it makes you feel better. Lol. The ancients had lunar calendars for planting.

I only wonder as the moons light is actual light and not a reflection of sunlight as believed for centuries. I do love ancient knowledge ( and researched a lot on book of enoch , so trust their lost wisdom when surfaces. My thinking was more around how tomato and other nightshade plants must be getting something from their genetic preferences, same with nocturnal species too , seasons governed by moon cycles in their world. overthinking and plenty of harvested Gz/ grow downtime ect.lol

On the gravity idea , i did consider rotating disc platforms to turn throughout the lights on period with each plant turning their own rotation within it like a carousel with smaller ones within it "Disney teacups" stylee only slower !

Go with the oil rads. They're more efficient, usually cheaper to run and much safer. I used to be a firefighter and I went to a house fire once started by a convection heater. Everyone was safe but it's horrible having to watch a family as their lives are literally burnt to ashes right in front of them.

I'm the same. Every now and then I invite my buddy around and watch him closely lol. He's like my canary I send down the mine. If he grins I know I'm in trouble lol

because I have more than one flowering tent I can overlap the lighting schedules so it's always warm in the room. No need for a heater and more bud. Double win
That's OK. I miss half the stuff you say. But I'm sure it was funny there.

I'm #1

Toes. Jolly good!.
Oh Mr S! If more people were like you the world would be a safer place :p

I've not heard of any of these things. I mean of course I've heard of the moon but know nothing of its effects on plants. The soundwave generator sound interesting. Reminds me of the time I was watering my my plants in a tray and I put them on the washing machine. I forgot about them until halfway through the spin cycle lol. They were shaken up lol. What would happen if you grew plants under strobe lighting? It one of those days GG

I'm not really much of a fan of colon musk. Seems like a lot of talk and marketing hype to me. Point me in the direction of the car though GG!

You could try gorowing weed on the waltzers!

Phew where to start.lol
rotating like the waltzers in a very ,very , slow fashion.lol
Light movers go back and forwards but a simple idea could allow all the plants to share the best and worse positions over 24 hours. overthinking 101.lol
on the heater front. I have been using a greenhouse tubular heater to keep things above the winters temps. in a tent it works well. fairly low wattage and designed to be left on too. with addition of good insulation both ways , it should prove even better next run.
Poor Elon. mega marketer but also a thorn in the big techs side with his open disclosures. He rightly warns about Ai being too powerful if given free range to manage the earth over time. His rocket launch with the car was brilliant mate. seeing such a huge piss take of the outer space lie was world class. Qhy would anyone allow him to launch his 1st made Tesla out into space with that ridiculous astronaut sat there and the radio blasting men from mars ?? Imagine the damage that could do as it broke up over time in " space" .lol. A privateer throwing space junk into the atmosphere ?. love it lol Dont get me onto the fake and abused disabled guy used by Nasa called Stephen Hawking to sell their fake "we need billions to show you fireworks in the sky and bring back some rocks" No rockets ever leave low earth orbit EVER..... van allen belt would fry anything attempting to pass through it for one. Have a google for " 7 rockets hitting the dome" watch it through and let men know your thoughts prof.

Or now! They're not going to be smaller if you wait for the phases of the moon.
I still have a tent full for a few weeks. If I had a decent veg area things would be different. I might be empty around then.
