Barneys Farm Sponsors Grow: Gorilla Zkittles, Orange Sherbert Plus Many More

Shishkaberry....

I've created a mini monster with this one. There are a lot of budsites crammed into a small area and she reminds me a little of how my GZ turned out. I'm sure that's all about to change though as there are more differences. Her leaves are tiny with a sharp and pointy appearance and are a light shade of green. The nodal spacing is tight and the buds are developing nicely. I had to thin this one out the most and just defoliating her took around 3 hours. She was just a dense block of leaves and branches lol....

Ayahuasca Purple....

The shorty of the group but a lovely little plant. Provided she's looked after well from this point on I don't see why she won't give up a decent yield. Her leaves are healthy and her stems thick though her nodes are more stretched than her friends. Very tidy plant with a short stature but very workable....

ORG_DSC06897.JPG

Vanilla Kush....

Outstanding plant so far. She was in between the other 2 during veg being not quite as vigorous or fast as the Shishkaberry but more impressive than the quite slow Ayahuasca Purple. In flower she kicked into overdrive and had budsites by day 10 and finished stretching a few days after that. I keep chopping them off but her older leaves are a beautiful dark green and have a nice indica look to them. Her budsites are developing fast and are spaced nicely up the branches which she has quite a lot of. I just hope this one tastes like the one I grew before....

Purple Punch....

I've even trimmed this one up now. She wasn't quite as much of a pain as the shish was but it was fairly gruelling. I've thinned this one as I have with all of them and topped up her res. She isn't as big as I'd hoped she was going to get but she has a lot of branches that are exposed to some good lighting. She's still in the race to beat the POG but will have to pump out some heavy nugs. She's in hydro under 600w so it's still realistic. I put her a little close to the light and her top leaves where curling so I've moved the light up a bit. I think it will be ok now. Her buds are on some colas tighter than they are on others. She's quite strong and I think I'll be able to get away without support for some time....

Hey 420! Time to get last nights update out of the way. Fashionably late as usual. I was actually quite busy yesterday and got the garden almost fully up to date. Just need to stake the flowering soil plants and work out what I'm going to do with the Purple Punch. @InTheShed you'll be happy to know that I'm not going to use the net for PP and will work something else out. She's more sturdy than before and she didint actually stretch that much. All have been defoliated and thinned out so only the best branches remain. I've raised the Ayahuasca Purple and Shishkaberry up to meet the Vanilla Kush. I'll do a little run down on each of the plants shortly. I'm pretty happy with all of them at the moment and feel a bit more in control. At one point things got on top of me and I felt a bit trapped and under pressure. Believe it or not but I actually do other things as well and with this many plants mixed with work and family life there was barely a second left in the day. All the plants that I'm doing now should finish up around early December which means I get plan a more manageable 2019 in the grow room. I'll still be running the Barneys thread but intend to slow it down a little by doing less plants but giving the ones I am doing more focus. Anyway, hope everyone's survived the weekend and are well and good. Catch you all soon....

They are looking good Prof. Sounds like you have been up against it mate. I am always impressed you achieve so much with very little time to be honest. so many plants, it has blown your mind for a more managable 2019 !!!!! lol
you dedicate a lot of time to the actual grows and then manage to document it too. you deserve the less stressful route mate. you have kept us all entertained and been responsive to all the comments too. Would miss this thread, if not for the chit chat with full-blown degenerates then for the great pics of the methods in play. We appreciate your efforts big time mate , give yourself a deserved break.
Having said that , it is killing me being plantless !!!!. heehee.
At least i get to rebuild a bit and know once this one is done , they will leave me be to get on with it. hopefully all completed by 31st so can crack on. bought some more ecothrive too ,really want to give the LOS a good run out. Have finally used all my trim and crap up to make some great smelling Hash. just need to dry it a little more.

Look happy enough mate. Should be some nice long colas building with a few there. Thankfully now the heat has dropped off a little!!!!, should help with the mould risk. I have developed an unatural fear of the purple strains now the gelato has played up but you could allay my fears with these mate. If your ever up for a few of the crosses i have now , let me know. i will see them grow out myself too as will be using them along the way. The gelato x hulkberry seeds have me wanting a try of those. The seeds are all viable looking beauties and i have isolated the these and a couple of Orange x gelato too. main stock is a mix of gz , pog , cookie kush between them from Gelato pollen. If you fancy a punt on a few let me know mate. Would love to see some grown well.i am confident they will be fems and they look great close up too. nice stripes and colours.

Thanks GG. Means a lot. When you say degenerates? Lol. Time seems to be my worst enemy at the moment but we're getting there. My problem is that if I see an empty space in the grow room I get an urge to fill it without thinking about the future workload lol. Being plant-less brings an empty feeling that is hard to describe. It's like a cross between mourning and going on a diet lol. Don't worry won't be long then you'll have them up and running again and as you're doing autos (god help you) you won't have to wait for the veg period first. You'll (hopefully) be stocked up with buds again by January. Nice looking hash GG. It's surprising what the trim can give up at the end.

They do look pretty well developed. I'll have to pass on some seeds for the moment only because I've been doing some plans and it seem that even with going a little easier I'm still going to be run off my feet lol. I want to make some seeds of my own either by going down the silver route or by using a male which I'm hoping to acquire in my next purchase. I've decided to get some Sensi Seeds Skunk 1 as my first serious attempt at going with regs. My track record has been 6 males and 0 females so far when using regs so not great. This time though I'll actually be looking for a good male. Anyway that's not now. First I've got to find a decent fem mother that has a good yield so I can supply my family with consistent meds. They're not impressed with my experimental attitudes and don't care about the different flavours and effects that I'm so fascinated with. Hopefully one of the 4 plants I have at the moment will fit the bill and I can use that for them. If my Pineapple Express turns out to be anything like Mr Sauga's then they can have that and be done with it. How can you not be happy with being handed with half an ounce of 10 different strains pretty much for free! Crazy people

I hear ya mate. i am in front of myself with 24 seeds to grow out from sponsors too.lol.
As a thought Zamnesia do Pollen sales Prof....Would that be a viable quicker route , they do mushrooms too !!!!! heehee
I am only givi g the autos a fly to see how they grow amd whats achievable really with them. i am a photo fella and usually need the veg time. curious now to see the 3 lights performing and L.o.s so wanted a simple way to compare so used the auto grow as a test bed.
Less plant count and more training is looking favourite at present.

I just took a trip (yep) over to Zamnesia as I was interested in the pollen you mentioned. I couldn't find it though. That sounds like a great idea. I did find some other interesting things though. Companion planting buddies for one. It got me thinking about your indoor bed idea and imagined it with an actual lawn. How cool would that be! Of course you'd have to cut the grass every week but hey, you'd have a lawn. You could always get it Astro-Turfed if it got too much. I do like the idea of growing other flowers in the same pot though as there are some supposed benefits.

Shishkaberry....

This ones developing nicely. Skinny and delicate looking at the moment with some frost developing in places. I sounded a bit like a weatherman then lol....

Purple Punch....

PP is doing ok though there are a couple things to point out today. Firstly though I must warn you that the pics are colour corrected which makes things look crazy horses. Back to the news. The first thing of note is that she's still a little curly up top. Maybe she's a little sensitive to the light or it's just the heat but the top fans just look a little stressed. It's no biggie though and I'll just have to adjust the pot height. The second thing is that she has a considerable amount of tip burn appearing. Again it's an easy fix and I put it down to grower error in that I'm still kinda new to DWC and I'm also still getting used to the MasterBlend. Could be worse though. She's not hanging around and has some good looking budsites on some (now) sturdy branches. I'm hoping to continue with the DWC for a little while but I also want to get the Wilma out for a round as it's a fun and quite efficient way of growing cannabis. Growing the Purple Punch in DWC has shown me that things can be easier and cheaper but also more risky if you become lazy or unobservant. Anyway, things are going alright at the moment and I've not been put off just yet....

bang on with companions growing. sweet sue or angry bird did one a while ago with a companion next to each plant. went very well . Reading up on the bed and how super soil/living soil works biologically has me hooked tbh. if the roots csn move well enough through it and get settled quickly enough the first time round , i am hoping to expand them at finish to the bed idea with more LOS and addition of my composted soil too. Seeing the ease of continuous use being the winning combo for the whole medium and just leaving all root matter and stem in place too , mimics nature 100%. allowing fallen leaves to mulch too will be an odd change. More suited to those straw cubes you tried too i think. Lots to think on before the 31st. Got my coco outside weathering the rain for last.few weeks too. Will be loading it with ecocharge too.

Dwc is not as easy as peeps claim it is mate. i so nearly lost my whole crop trying it last grow. Thankfully a couple of members jumped on and got busy with my fixes. All about the D.O and keeping res happy , cool and pathogen free. . your roots are beautiful looking there Prof , happy res.
I do like the wilma systems , wish i had gone that route before the rdwc spend. Still looking at rhizo stands and pipes to runoff if i stay with the coco grows. similar to wilma running too if a res is set to recirc.

What?! Your family sounds like a bunch of ingrates!!! Sorry, I’m super rude and saying like it is today! Ingrates!!

You certainly have to be on the ball with DWC. Before when I was doing hydro it was using clay pebbles which is really no different than coco however it dries out much faster. The clay pebbles act as a buffer against all sorts of things that you're not safe from with submerged roots. Water temp isn't a problem for one and you can remove and flush pots individually as needed. If I do the Autos next then Wilma it is!

Lol. Sometimes I wonder what planet they're on. Next time they can have all the trim
