The size difference is becoming greater between these 2....

Hey 420! Had a couple days off from this journal but don't worry, you've not missed much. Here's what we have today....

The Orange Sherbert is looking good. She's on day 23 from seed today. I'm thinking more about transplanting them now though as they're growing so well....

The Gorilla Zkittles is also doing well. She's well past the Orange Sherbert now in terms of size. I'm thinking about topping them earlier than I previously said. I may just go for 6 nodes instead. It won't be long before there is a tent available with better lighting to put these two into....

Here they are side by side. I've just watered them again and man are they drinking. Another reason I'd like to transplant soon....

Hey 420! Today's problem is crazy high humidity! The weather here in this part of the uk is terrible at the moment. It's really wet and it doesn't look like it's going to clear up anytime soon. It's about 85% in the veg tent and there's not much I can do about it. It's not as big of a problem for these as it is for my flowering tents but it's worth keeping an eye out and being alert. I have good air movement which should help and the temps are in the low 20's. I've decided that the Gorilla Zkittles and Orange Sherbert need to be transplanted asap, I can see that they would like the extra space without removing them from their pots. I think that I'll get away with it for another week...hopefully. Today was the first day in which I gave them some nutrients. They were fed 0.5ml of fish mix per 1ltr of water. I didn't use the whole liter though as they're only in 1 litre pots. After they've been transplanted I can stop feeding them with nutrients and go back to just tap water for a few weeks. Here we are today....

The Phantom OG

I'm liking this one already. She's just as easy to grow as the other 2 and is starting to pick up the pace. She is still on plain old tap water and will be for a little while yet. Here she is....

You gotta do what you gotta do! Tell her to understand lol!:laugh:
lets see how brave you become once that ring is on your finger dutchman1990. lol. It all changes then my friend . heehee

Hey GG! Does it still give you beef burger eyes? Lol. The GZ and OS are suffering a tiny bit today. Basically they have light stress. Last night one of my flowering tents became available so I thought that I'd put all the veg plants into it as there is more space and a better light. The light was too powerful for them and they have gone droopy because of it. They're ok and all they need is less light intensity for a while. When I got home from work today I did my usual checks and thought that they needed watering because they looked so limp. I picked up the pots and they were still damp from the previous watering so I knew that it wasn't that. It's not overwatering because even though the pot is still heavy they have drank quite a bit. The lights that I put them under are really intense and the symptoms seem to fit with too much light. So what I've done is turned down the lighting to about 50% and will check them every hour or so to see if there has been any improvement. They should be fine this time tomorrow. I still think that they would like bigger pots though. Pics to follow after I've sorted out the family! My actual family that is and not my plant family lol back soon :)

Yes please! I’m having some issues with that myself (I think). I’d love to see how you assess and deal with it more, plus pics. Thanks Professor, class is in session!

Well guys firstly we shall take a look at the Phantom OG because she enjoyed the intense lighting. I've fallen in love with this one now. There's no stopping her....

Here she is under the full power lighting....

and this is under about 50% power....

Now these 2 look worse than they are. They're still growing well but look...sad....
1739669

Orange Sherbert. She's what I imagine when I think of indica strains. Short, squat and heavy looking. She did look better yesterday when her fingers where stretched out to the side....

1739665

Gorilla Zkittles. Now this ones going straight up! I think I'm gonna change my decision to top at the 8th to 10th node and go with what we have now which is five. I'll wait until they look a bit stronger before I top to reduce stress on an already stressed plant....
1739666

They look a bit yellow under this light but they're actually a nice green colour still. Here's a family pic with the light turned down so you can see them a bit better....
1739662

Does yours look a bit like that HH? I'll be over your way soon as I'm still catching up on journals. With mine I have the ability to turn my lights up and down so I've merely put at just below half power. There is already improvement since I've returned from work. If you can't turn your lights down then just raise them by about a foot and see what happens. I can't remember what Lights you use. I'll be over shortly :)

Hey 420! Time to report on yesterday's incident. Was it resolved? Kind of. This morning I checked them and indeed the leaves had returned to their usual look however I noticed something which confirmed my previous suspicion that they need to be transplanted. There are clear signs of root suffocation on the leaves. They have splotches appearing on lower older leaves and they look as if they want to grow but can't. Here's what we have....

In this pic they look a little better than yesterday but still not happy. It's most noticeable in the GZ....
1740527

Here she is. Did I mention that I went ahead and topped them. No. Well I did....
1740528

The reason I topped them is because despite their current situation they're still growing up....
1740529
1740530

The OS has faired better but it's coming. Topped her as well. Both on the 5 node instead of my original plan which seems silly now....
1740531
1740532
1740533

The Phantom OG. What a babe. No trouble from this one but more on that in a moment. This ones just ticking along nicel and soon she'll have the entire 2x2.5 tent all to herself where she'll remain for the next 10+ weeks....

Part 2 coming up....

I decided to listen to Shed and have a look at their roots. He's MOTY for a reason you know....
1740547

It could only get worse for them if left in that condition so I transplanted them into 3ltr fabric pots. Now here's the thing. I didn't have any more soil so I did something I've never done before and used some of the soil from a pot from a previous grow. Soil that's saturated in flowering nutes also because I listened to Shed (and Magoo on that one). I'm part of the no flush club now see. I wouldn't normally do something like that but there was no way I was going to put them back in those pots and hope for the best. Personally I don't think that it will be a problem but it's going to be interesting over next couple days. Here's what I've done....

Now we'll try again. Let's see what the next 24 hours brings shall we. Happy growing everyone :)
