Barneys Farm Sponsors Grow: Gorilla Zkittles, Orange Sherbert Plus Many More

That’s a nice stump indeed :thumb: I just wish I could remember where I read that!

I know I prefer them bigger - for strength
And to "avoid splitting !!!!!".lol

Without question!
:theband:

[BTW that's the second band named after me here. The first is Amy's What Shed Said. :theband: ]
Do you ever get double booked?

Lol. Know that I know that's your thing I'll try and do a massive one for you
That has to be the Gz. so beautiful Prof. nice job. going to make nice hash too.
Goodbye sweet maiden. It has been a pleasure walking beside you imagining the pleasure we could have together. Off to Sweeny Todds for a trim !!!!
Thanks GG! This journey is nearly complete. Hopefully in a few days we'll have some more to worry about lol. The Purple Punch will be germed in the morning when my airstone turns up

I always found it funny that you could say this and have it make perfect sense:
The nick nicked me nicking something and they tossed me in the nick.
If you were saying that to someone called Nick you could get away with one more :)

Lol. Know that I know that's your thing I'll try and do a massive one for you
:laughtwo: It’s certainly no time to be chintzy.

And a fond adieu to Orange Sherbet :ciao:
...but I still love POG.

Hey 420! More of the Prof doing things not normal again! It's time to germinate the Purple Punch and this is how we're going to do it....

I have no jiffys, rockwool or starter cubes so I'm improvising again. I've smashed up some clay pebbles with a hammer and filled a small net pot with the crushed pebbles. This is to create better water retention....

I then rinsed the pot under boiling water to kill anything on there and to wash of the dust. I then went and got my new favourite (most anticipated)....

I removed the seed and took some pics....

Then the camera ran out of battery again lol! I'll have to describe the next few dramatic scenes for you. I removed some of the pebbles and put the seed in about half way down before covering with the the crushed pebbles. I then ran some mild nutrient through the pot at 200ppm and put her somewhere dark and warm. Done. See. Drama. I'll have to manually water her until she sprouts to keep the pot moist. Then I'll put her in the DWC pot when she has a good taproot. Now it's time to start on the OS. Happy growing everyone!

Hey Prof! :passitleft:
I have a pic for ya. Frosty enough for ya....

Nooo ways! That frost is unreal :adore: quality genetics!! With one of the best growers around here bringing out the full potential of these genetics.
Veg Tent Update...
Those girls are growing extremely fast? :hmmmm::headbanger:
Keep it up POG....
There's no stopping that beast! :meatballs:
Yay on the seed delivery, Barney's hooked you up real good! So excited to see some of those strains!
RIP :rip: to the OS! She was a real beauty. Does she smell anything like citrus or sherbet? I guess sweet & sour was what they were going for when naming the strain.

Thanks Irie! Means a lot buddy. It's been a good few weeks in the garden. If it wasn't for the thrips then I'd have almost nothing to worry about. The OS has a sweet and tangy but quite deep citrus cream scent. I'll have some pics of the harvest later today

Hey prof excited to watch the purple punch bet she is going to be a beautiful lady

Very inventive on breaking up the clay pebbles to use as a sprouting technique I'm always learning something over here never a dull moment in your journal

Bye bye Os we will miss you :( what a beauty prof the description of her sent makes me really excited for mine when she gets a little older. Can't wait for the next update to see some of her buds all trimmed up

Thanks N! I'm looking forward to the Purple Punch and have been for some time. Since before I joined 420 in fact. It's only just become available this side of the Atlantic. You could get PP crosses but not on its own.

The pebbles idea should work. As long as I don't allow it to dry up. It hasn't gone dry since I set it up this morning so we should be good.

I've got a few sneaky pics coming up right now
:passitleft:

I'm about half way through trimming the OS and thought I'd have a break and sample some of the scissor hash with a coffee. It's good! I've taken a couple pics of her....
ORG_DSC03346.JPG

It's not been much of an ordeal so far. This one has been easy to shave but I can see that the GZ will be picky and more awkward to trim. I'm giving her a decent rough trim now then will bud wash her later. I'll pick the remaining sugars and leaf stumps off when she's dry....

Nice buds for 200w of lighting. The tops are solid and even the larf/fluff has a firmness to it. She's gone a beautiful colour up top having some nice purple hues with the contrasting orange hairs....

The Orange Sherbert has been trimmed! I still need to bud wash her but I need to cook dinner before that. She has more bud than I thought she was going To have which is great. I'm really impressed with this strain and recommend her to anyone looking for an easy and rewarding indica variety. Her scissor hash tastes great. It's got a candy fizz and classic hashy taste. I feel stoned as well. We had issues that weren't related to her during veg but from what I can tell she was a good and relatively fast veg plant. She slowed up during flower and didn't have a huge amount of stretch. She didn't just slow up though, she beefed up. I'd love to see what this strain is capable for under bigger lights. She has a special place in my heart and is up there with some my favourite strain that I've grown. She's as greasy and annoying to touch as I imagined she would be and has literally stunk my entire house out. No guests will be welcome in our home this week lol. Good start to the Barneys harvests....

Veg Tent Update....

I've not managed to do any updates on the GZ and the POG as the lights went out as I was trimming the OS. I have got a good veg tent update though. Haven't found any thrips today and they're all growing very well indeed! There you go, I'm busy cooking dinner....
