Barney’s Farm With The Mars Hydro

They're looking heavy with frost! :yummy:
They are pretty plants with lots of frost. Each indoor grow, I learn a little more and am able to keep the plants just a little happier as they go through their stages. That, and these beans appear to have great genetics. @nickeluring 's MxOP looked fantastic.
:woohoo:

I'm looking forward to seeing the Mulanje. :)

Well that's what we all have to do, learn and improve from each grow. You should get some very enjoyable bud from this grow. Good gardening!

Nicky's done some wonderful grows. I took up whole plant drying after I learnt that from him.

The Mulanje have been getting battered in the winds over the last couple of days. Hopefully they come thru without damage. My attempted third plant and second germination attempt (this time a Chronic Widow) still hasn't broken thru the soil, if she doesn't soon then I will attempt to germinate a Mango Sherbert bean as I found that strain was particularly trichome loaded last year and plus if I can make a cross with the Mulanje I think I would like it to be the frosty Mango.

Thanks bro. Drying the plants whole makes a big difference if you ask me.

That cross breeding project seems very interesting. The Mango Sherbert sounds absolutely delicious.

I started hanging whole the indoor plants with my last indoor grow. It sure slows the dry down. Its hard for me to do with a big outdoor plant.

These plants are hardy, hopefully the wind wont hurt the Mulange. Your Mango Sherbert was the first one I ever saw. Frosty Mango sounds like a hit. Are both the Mulange and the Mango feminized, I forget?

I'm considering running some sativa's for the New Year and am looking at strains now. If I go with a full sativa tent, I'll probably just go with a single strain and not a mix.

The Mango Sherbert is an Indica dominant from Humboldt Seed Co. HSC carry out some quite intensive breeding projects so I feel it must have some good genetics in it already. The Mulanje are regulars.

My main purpose will be to try and make some more Mulanje beans. Of my 2 Mulanje plants, one is growing somewhat taller with more internodal distance so possibly that's a boy, which is good if the other is a girl. I shared 3 seeds with my brother so between us I hope to get a male for some pollen as now I only have 3 of those seeds left. So any remaining cross would be a bonus.

I'm growing some Sativas now - Bushmans from South Africa. They're supposed to flower very fast.

I was watching your grow. The Bushmans are interesting in how fast they mature.

My Bushmans plants should be about ready for their third and final topping when I get home tonight. It's the first time I grow a landrace Sativa. It's also the first time I have to weed out the boys due to regular seeds, so it's an interesting grow for me.

Sounds great

I started taking more time with my pictures and am trying to learn to use my point and shoot camera in the manual mode. Practice shots.
Your practice is paying off. Those are some nice looking pics!

Of course is helps that you've got such photogenic subjects to work with. Pretty colors abound in those frosty girls! :bravo:

A few waterings ago I upped the quantity of H2O to a little over 3 liters per each two day cycle. The humidity in the tent rose to 60%+rh with the lights off. I dealt with this by trying to correct with exhaust and fans. I am going back to two liters of feed/water and will water in 1.5 day cycles and see how that works.

The increase in calmag seems to have helped with the crisping. Today is day 39 of flower and the pistols seem to be turning fast. Last grow everything had red hair, this one orange, I like the orange this grow. The light is strong and I wonder if that is contributing to the pistols drying early, or maybe it’s just time. The light is at @ 100% - 8” from the Runtz and 13" from the Mimosa x, with the lemon tree between. :peace:

They're some lookers @stinker!

Usually when I have plants of differing heights I'll elevate the shorter ones so that all are about an equal distance from the light. Just a thought! :Rasta:

And a good thought it was, thank you. I was able to raise the two shorter up 2.5", now they are more equal. They were put on a couple overturned deep drip trays. Sometimes I really do miss the obvious. :peace:

Good morning, today is the start of week six. Growing indoors is great, like anything else there is a learning curve. This grow, my 3rd indoor, I primarily topped. I realize now I should have let the plants build more nodes before flipping and the yield would be much greater. These plants are pretty and I get to learn while doing. :peace:

There was a noticeable difference in height, especially between the taller Runtz and the others. This morning I made a platform and further raised the Lemon Tree and Mimosa x. If GDB hadn’t suggested it, I might not have thought of it. Thank you for the suggestion @Grand Daddy Black .

Happy grows :peace:
