Bapple's 2016 Outdoor Adventures - Photo & Auto Strains

So it's day 16 and day 12 for both girls, they both look alike to me so looks like it's the two Blue Dreams that made it.....perhaps it's too early to call it.

Hope everyone is having a super Saturday :Namaste:

MS. Bapple, I got a stupid question for you. Is their a reason that you don't put a piece of duct tape and use a sharpie to know what is what? Or is like some parents, just want to be surprised? I see the shopping list there @ hand, just curious. Looking good and I'll get by as often as possible love going to your garden.

:Namaste:

Hello Captain! :ciao:

Not a stupid question at all :battingeyelashes:It's mostly expediency and laziness :rofl:

All my shortcuts re 420 gardening are related to stealth/secrecy - there are other people in the house 6 days a week as our domestic and business setup was already established before I discovered 420 gardening, and firing everyone and starting again is neither practical nor sensible. So in a nutshell the only room where we have total privacy is my study which I lock when I/we travel.

I soak the seeds all together in a cup before I put them into the root riots and the cup is very easy to hide in a corner of my study. Obviously downside is that I lose track of who is who.....that's why I always start the autos and photos separately.

Funnily enough while the supreme leader and I were in Amsterdam we talked a fair bit about how we could make growing easier for me without compromising stealth/secrecy and we came to the conclusion that for now, how I am doing it is what works for our life setup at this time (I really wanted to try bud washing, but it would have turned us into nervous wrecks). So there you have it :yummy:

Always good to see you in my garden :high-five:

Okay 420 mag chums; Cannabutter newsflash :yummy:

So last night made some brownies with one of the pieces of cannabutter I made and froze in January (see post numbers 21, 24, & 27)
I used a brownie mix we buy from Costco whenever we are in the UK.

image6862.jpeg

So what can I say except OMG :jawdropper: the Supreme Leader and I are officially sold on edibles and I will make some honey flapjacks at the weekend. I knew that if the system I used worked, that the butter would be really potent, but neither of us had ever tried edibles so we did not know what to expect. I ate one piece and the SL ate two (he weighs 45 kilos more and is greedier :rofl:) The buzz started after 30 mins for me and after 45 minutes for the SL and the high/stone (cos it was both) lasted until I fell asleep 5 hours later so if I had not conked out I don't know how much longer I would have been stoned/high for. The SL fell asleep 4 hours into the adventure :battingeyelashes:

So from now on trimmings will no longer be binned and along with lower branches will always be frozen for butter and coconut oil purposes.

Another upside for me that the waterbath experiment worked is that the system means zero smell; smell was one of the reasons I never went the canna butter route even though I love cooking.

420 Magazine is such a splendid resource:thumb::Namaste:

So it's day 25 and 20 for my two Blue Dream girls (they both look the same)

They now spend 6 or so hours daily outdoors and will be moved outside for good next week, as night temperatures are still fluctuating a lot, and we are away this coming weekend.

Understood just had to ask. Don't think I'd ever really trust in being able to tell, but I'm a noob. And you're right, just soaking separately makes me want to be lazy. But I've found Dixie Cups work well and I use a secret code (normally one letter or weird mark) and take it from there. Looking good, and thanks for dropping by my place she's a she by the by, I call her Dixie, my chocolate wonder :green_heart:

how long does blue dream take to finish? Here in western wash, i must choose my outdoor streins. this year, i think i will buy a three pack of feminized frisian dew.

Howdy Cannilingus, I think you'll find the Blue Dream an early finisher, I had seeds sprouted in mid April and a harvest by September 5 on all but one here in the deep south 29*'s North or thereabouts on all but one and she was finished by mid sept. We have loads of pest here and all my BD's fared well, the late one was was getting a couple of corn worms(our name for the dreaded bud worm) late and wanting to show some mold spots, but no real losses. Hope that helps, see my link or feel free if you have any further questions about her. HOS was the supplier. I plan to grow a few more this upcoming outdoor season.

Hello 420 Mag chums! :ciao:

Just returned from a weekend in Barcelona with the Supreme Leader. Much fun was had by all, but the seed situation is getting silly :battingeyelashes::battingeyelashes::bigblush:

I thought I had decided on my 2016 lineup already but more seeds have made their way into the collection and now we are sort of confused :tokin:

image7275.jpeg

These should be the finalists (added a couple of plants for edibles) problem is the SL and I, bought some HSO Em Dog, HSO 707 Truthband and HSO Bubbas Gift as well as another R-Keim strain called Negra over the weekend, and now he reckons I'm being boring wanting to run ASD and Blue Dream again. He wants me to replace those two with Bubbas Gift and the Truthband.

I would like to hear from anyone familiar with all or some of the strains for some objective feedback.

He might be the Supreme Leader, but I am 'she who must be obeyed':rofl::rofl::cheesygrinsmiley::allgood: and obviously I also get gardeners privilege so final choice is ultimately mine but would love to hear thoughts, advice and comments between now and May (I think the Autos will be as shown)

Regarding my present grow, will do an update tomorrow.

Hope everyone is doing well wherever they are.

So, my two Blue Dream are at day 33 and 28 respectively. The older gir was repotted into a 25 litre pot and left outside overnight for the first time last night - she will remain outdoors for the rest of her life. The younger sister is still indoors overnight and will be repotted into a slightly smaller pot and left outside on Thursday for good. Day temps at the moment between 16 and 20C and night temps between 8 and 12C typically.

They were fed for the first time - Biobizz fish mix at 2ml/litre today.

Scorch marks were caused by plants growing into the light while we were away.

So does this mean we soon get to visit Narnia again? :yahoo: :goof:

Hello Captain! :ciao:

I think we seed hoarders/collectors will have the last laugh :yummy::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I have a good amount of Dutch Passion seeds, but I am very impressed with California genetics and the sterling product they deliver. Is DP hard to get stateside?

Narnia is only being cut back and cleared right now, but I won't be down there until autos are ready to go into their final pots probably middle/ end of April. These two girls will be fine in my hidey place close to the house.

I concur on the hoarding issue wholeheartedly! Yes true DP is hard to get and the breeder will not ship to us here in the states.

April will be here before we know it. Looking good sugar!

So it's been a warm sunny day 18C high, but night low is supposed to be 6C. considering the seeds came off my last plant, stress is not what I was looking for but I can't control the weather.

It's day 38 & 33 for my girls (?), the younger one was brought outside for good on Friday the older one is growing well, hopefully the younger one will soon acclimatise to the conditions. As these seeds came off my Autumn grow, I don't really know what sex they are and I can't see any signs of sex yet.
