Bapple's 2015 Outdoor Grow - Autos & Photos

Hey bapple what is going on here :Hookah:

She is a thing of beauty, can't wait to see the harvest on that little beast.

i really liked the previous ones, shifting through your updates and catching up was truly a trip

oh and im back btw, ta daaa

i apologize for leaving on a hurry, it's kind of a sad story. i wrote all about it in my last update couple of days ago when i officially came back in that wreck i left for journal. I guess it was over anyway but i really wanted to do a proper closure, like give some insight on what i learnt and whatnot, but sometimes misfortune strikes and you have to go fast and not look back.

i saw that you checked on me when i went MIA, i appreciate that a lot :grinjoint:

i was a blast coming back and seeing all kind of messages from old friends worrying about my well being. I mean it wasnt a blast making them worry but i'm always happy to see a friendly name drop a dime in my inbox.

anyway, i'm kind of back now, meaning that i'm back its still adjusting period till i get back on track. I have an order going on right now and once it arrives i can start cooking some soil again, all my indoor equipment is untouched so that should be fun this winter. I'm just going on and looking for the best honestly.

Glad to see you're still about that life, not much have changed since i left, except maybe that the community got bigger which is always a good thing.

i'll be seeing you around and thanks again for checking up on me :high-five:

Nice harvest Ms. B! BD looks like she's short on Ca too. Cool that you can continue outdoors into Nov. Anymore after BD? Great growing this outdoor season. :goodjob:

Thanks Brightlight!

We are fortunate with the weather here.

After the BD that's it until February or March.

Great to see you, I see you've got plenty exciting still happening in your yard :rollit:

Hey there 420 Bro!

Good to see you back - life happens so no need to apologise. Thanks for the compliments. I must say I'm happy it's over for a bit, after I harvest the BD.

See you around :thumb:

Wow~~welcome back Bapple!:circle-of-love:

Thanks Mr Chen! :ciao::thankyou:

So, I was about to reuse the Plagron Growmix in the pot from the failed HH germination - this is what I found.

Seed went into the soil on 10 October. I went digging for it when nothing had happened after 9 days, found a sproutling with a tiny root, reburied the seed and as nothing happened since mid October thought it was a fail.

Now what to do, as this was supposed to be an experiment to see just how cool the conditions HH can cope with.

She wants to thrive. Give light... Let her grow. I have a plant that didn't start flowering for a good 5 weeks after my first plant started to flower. Now she is huge (in comparison), and just under two weeks flowering. :thumb:

Hey Stinker!:ciao: she is a little fighter.....

She will be left outdoors and if she manages to grow big enough to flower, the SL has offered to bring her in and out of the little greenhouse thing I bought last Spring when/if nighttime temps dip below 8C. She is a cold/humid weather strain so let's see how she copes if she survives.

What do you think of the HH smoke, Bapple?

Hey Weasel!

It's not bad at all. It's a good smoke for nighttime, and those times when one just wants to veg out. 10 or so so minutes after half a joint, I am giggling at stuff on TV and messin g about with my dogs......30 mins later I am stuck on Discovery Channel or similar, entranced by some inane documentary, I would not watch with such intensity normally. An hour later I have got the munchies but who is going to get up to make me a ham and cheese toastie....cos I am stuck to the settee. 3 or so hours later it's all over, I am tucked in my bed sleeping soundly.

The Dutch Passion blurb describes the strain as a knockout smoke, and that is very accurate. She also smells really pleasant; in the jar and while burning. I will grow her again as the SL has insomnia issues and one go at HH on the vape and he is off to lala land for a good 6 hours.

Hope all is well in your world, I see your grow room is slowly emptying. Hugs to WTY

Thanks Bapple! Yes WTY gets his fair share of hugs, the little cutie. Thanks for the review. It's the cold weather rating that interested me. I wonder if it's possible I inadvertently grew it once before. A friend and I tried a bunch of strains one summer- both indoor and outdoor. We had over a dozen seed strains, most of which were given to us by a friend and were cryptically labelled. One was called HH. We didn't know what that stood for, so we called it Helly Hansen (a popular type of raingear around here). I remember it doing quite well here outdoors in the cold and rain, though it's been about 15 years since then and things are a little fuzzy.

Yeah the flowering room is getting pretty empty. A few setbacks and misjudgments. I considered just switching off a light and using half the growing space. For some reason I keep trying to fill it up. I suppose it's just all the various issues I am curious about and have to test grow to understand, and the new things and strains I want to try that keep driving me. I'm 'supposed to be' supplying a couple patients as well though that has it's ups and downs. Harvest is nice. But sometimes the journey is more fun than getting there. No doubt next month that space will be full again.

Just driving thru on my way I forget........... Hey still have crops out. You must be tropic's. I seen you say you moved a plant outta max light,,,,,,,, some girls need just that. I doubt some of my PNW girls woodn't fair well there but then,,, maybe better. The plant should dictate it's spot outdoors. Some don't like the brightest spot in the yard. Keepem Green

Reminded me of many yrs. growing Romulan....it didn't need many hrs. of sun & thrived in semi shade.:Namaste:

Hello my 420 Mag Chums! :ciao:

Been sooooo busy :yahoo: and tired but loving it. My business is only 3 years old in January and usually, November and December are dead - but looks as if that is the past.

So day 58 flowering for the HSO Blue Dream. Night temps are now as low as 12 some nights - daytime temps still between 22C and 24C. She is getting about 5 hours of direct sunlight but I think ideally she would prefer more. The buds are swelling very slowly like my ASD last autumn. Looking at the trichs I see clear and some milky but no Amber. Have to decide when to pull her, cos I am off to civilisation for work next wEek for 4 days and then, the SL will join me and we'll spend 5 days in the Dam :lot-o-toke: So I either pull her tomorrow giving me 7 days to dry and jar her before I leave, or I leave her until the 7th of December when we return when she will be 78 days into flowering. :hmmmm::dreamy::battingeyelashes:

One of the leaves is withered off the HH, the other leaf does not seem to be doing much. I don't think she's going to make it but let's wait and see

Blue Dream day 58 into flower - apologies for the piss poor shots, but hastily taken as everyone is still here until after dark and I wanted to add photos.

Hey Norcal and Brightlight! Good to see you in my yard :thumb:

Norcal, what is PNW?

Brightlight; hmmm a strain called Romulan - intriguing for a trekkie.

I don't know what's up with my reply with quote function, it does nothing when I click on the add button......

Anyyyywhoooo hope you're both keeping it green.

Hello 420Mag!

So we returned home this afternoon after 5 days of smoking, eating and galleries ( not to forget the seed shopping) in Amsterdam.

I harvested the BD on the 18/12 before i left and dried and jarred it. Rubbish photo below!

The roots were the most flimsy I have ever seen on any of my plants. They had hardly spread out from the original small pot. Obviously some sort of lock out early on. We have not tested it yet.

HH seedling did not make it......

So the season is officially over :tommy::theband::theband: and we are looking forward to Xmas, New Year and some winter travel.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying their homegrown stash. See you all around. :surf::tokin::green_heart::rollit::allgood:

Thanks Bapple. Looking forward to seeing what you pull out of your hat in the 'spring' or whatever you call it wherever you are, where you harvest plants in December ;). Have a lovely break and all the best to you. :thumb:
