Bagseed DIY cabinet grow - Wonderberry - fall '09

I have added a hairdryer to my cabinet as a temporary space heater until I can get a real space heater and thermostat. I did this because my temperatures were dropping to 50 degrees at night and growth seemed to be slowed a little. After adding the hairdryer last night there was considerable growth as opposed to the two days prior.

Here is tonight's picture

Well last night the exhaust fan I was using burnt itself up. As such I ordered a fan and carbon filter on Ebay today but that means I have to deal with a lack of fan for 4-9 days. I removed the fan so that there will be some where for air to flow in the meantime. I also added a small space heater with thermostatic control a few days ago to replace the hair dryer I was using temporarily. This has kept temperatures around 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit even with exterior temperatures of 40 degrees. The plant seems to be doing well now but I still have not seen any sign of the two other seeds that were planted 11/10/09 so I will give them four more days. I may just get a couple of clones now that the lone plant is getting pretty big and I dont want the plants to be to far apart in size or age.

Here is today's picture. Sorry for the rambling.

I am still waiting on my fan and charcoal filter from ebay to arrive but the plant seems to be doing alright with only passive airflow. That is beyond the airflow created by a small fan blowing on it and the space heater fan.

Temperatures are stable between 70 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit.

Side growth has begun and the training seems to be going well. I had to change to a different stick for training as the original was not strong enough to hold the plant down anymore.

I plan to start feeding with my next watering. I plan to feed once every 2 weeks with General Hydroponics Flora series nutrients and Diamond Nectar. I previously posted all the nutrients I have. Does anyone think I should use any of the other products? if so why?

Here are today's pictures notice the side growth. Sorry about the blurriness of the side growth picture but the lens wont focus very well if it is too close but also wont focus on the side growth if too far.

I just fed my plant for the first time using General Hydro Flora series nutes and Diamond Nectar because the bottom leaves were starting to yellow and I figured that she has used up all the nutes in the soil.

BTW my wife named it Annie Oakley in hope that it is a girl. I am going to get a couple of clones in a week or two to be her friends for this grow.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. At least everyone who celebrates it.

So I am still waiting on my fan and filter to arrive meaning I still have only passive air flow for exhaust and intake. Annie Oakley does not seem to mind though. After her feeding she had a serious growth spurt. This can be attributed to the additional nutrients and raised temperatures. I have been keeping the cabinet between 75 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit with the space heater. Unfortunately this has brought the whiteflies back so I have added some boiled and mashed garlic to the cabinet along with another fly strip.I am hoping this will do away with them.

Yesterday I saw than she was getting pretty tall. I took some pics before getting a larger stick and training her back down.

This morning I checked on her and added the garlic then later on I added the fly strip and took a couple more pictures.

I hope you all enjoy your evening, morning or afternoon which ever it may be.

well I just sprayed down my plant with a mixture of water, cooking oil, and dish soap to control the whiteflies. I found the recipe on this forum. I will be washing the plant off in about thirty minutes. I am anxious to see if it actually works and if there are any side effects.
