BackLip Is Back With Green Crack & Sour Jack

Your sons wedding reception?
That's coming up in early April , so I'm in the process of getting my backyard gussied up for the occasion...
I had hoped when I was younger, that by the time I was an old guy I'd learn to love yardwork...didn't happen..
Still hate anything but cannabis gardening....but, I'm it for the gussying up of the yard....planted like 10,000 wildflower seeds this week, but I did warn the bride that with this crap weather they may not bloom before the reception...
And my other son and his wife are due to have their baby (it's a girl)....possibly today....so my offspring are keeping me pretty busy for the next few months....but that's what dads are for....

And congrats on the record breaking multi quote!

Damn carcass that’s a lot of flowers! you sound like a busy man! Sounds like it will be a lovely reception!

So you mean I’m going to hate my yard work for the rest of my life! Damn!:( Bear of bad news over there!

Update:

update time! Wow, happy Friday! TGIF!

I left for work like I normally would, and shortly outside of town, I hit a big ass pot hole! Bent my rim, and the tire deflated quickly. I pulled over, ripped my tools out the trunk to get to my spare donut tire. Changed my tire, boom! Was back on the road! About 20 mins down the road, there was a huge f***ing sink hole pot hole! I knew it was coming but I didn’t want to be in the fast lane because of my donut tire. To miss this hole I almost need to hug the white centre line, but there was an 18 wheeler beside me, because I just merged into a new highway, so I wasn’t quite up to speed yet.
BAM! Hit the f***ing hole! I start cursing this time, because I knew it was coming. What happens next, Is I lost air in my emergency. Stranded on the shoulder of one of the busiest highways in Alberta. Great! Morning rush hour and drivers are relentless on that highway. I mean it’s no 401 in Toronto but it’s a three lane 110 km/h highway, but 1 out of 20 may actually do the speed limit. So I called AMA, got towed home. Jumped in my truck and, it was time for me to try go to work again, in a different vehicle.
Made it to work, blah blah blah...

What happened after I got home from work, was.... :rollit:
and then I opened my veg clone box.
We have roots! Roots on the GC Clones!

The Tweed Clones probably won’t make it! I never had any faith with them anyways. So, that means I’ve got 1 clone for you @780grow if your interested! You were first to mention taking one. If you want it, it’s yours. The other one will probably go to @Bushsmasher308
Who am I kidding, he won’t see that! He hasn’t been online in a long time lol. I’ll just send him a text!

Here’s some pictures!

Have a great evening, a great Friday! A great weekend! And you know the rest! With my wife being a parts technician, I’ve already got a new tire, rim, and we talked to another friend of ours that will mount the tire and balance it for me on Monday. No worries over here, shit happens! I’m chillaxing on the couch watching season 5 of Hell’s Kitchen.:smokin2: (Except That emoji is inaccurate because we don’t smoke inside the house, so no “puffing” was being done watching Hell’s Kitchen!)

No, bro. She (wife) is still looking for a job in her field. Hopefully, she will land something soon. If not, our son only has a year left in high school here and we can pack up and move back to Florida. :surf:
Fishing, surfing, waves, flip flops, weed, beer and great seafood.lol..that sounds good, just might move back for those reasons..:high-five:

Yes, and I use to think that way too even with MC. Then I realized the issues I was having was pushing my nutes too hard. So now I never exceed 6.5g's under any circumstances. If I see a def I have to step back and think what would cause it becasue it's not MC at the right amounts.
I, like Shed and many others, say never to exceed that 6.5g so that's where my suggestion would be at now. You could add two weeks into flower 1g of Bud Explosion although it wont help bud production but it will make you feel like you are getting bigger buds :) You just have to watch your plants for issues as they show up fast.
Holly shit! I missed some reply’s to posts. Oops!
Sorry dude!!
I’ll pull them out of the tent today to see how they look from the last feeding. Maybe after my nephews birthday party. I’m just having a hard time understanding where 6.5 came from..:hmmmm:

so once a person gets to 6.5 they feed 6.5 the rest of their plants life?:hmmmm:

Im scared now that, I gave them more then 6.5, if I undercut there nutes, they will be unhappy with me! Damn idk! I’ve got some real studying to do with this MC.:smokin2:i appreciate the help Mr.S!

No pain no gain in the trades bro. Respect
You do framing or?
Sorry that I missed your comment when replying yesterday!
Yes sir, in simpler terms, I’m a framer. My job title is a Lather (interior system mechanic).

My partner and I framed that up, boarded the roof from inside the bathrooms. Then framed in the ceiling for the bathrooms. It’s funny any time I go to an empty area to start building, electricians flock in like working bees! Never fails! Always putting their ladders right where I’m working!:ciao: Umm hello! I’m working here! And I guess you are too now!:laughtwo:

I’m just having a hard time understanding where 6.5 came from..:hmmmm:
The 6.5g is roughly the maximum amount GLN recommends for feeding your plants. It's the highest value for late flower.
so once a person gets to 6.5 they feed 6.5 the rest of their plants life?:hmmmm:
To be honest you probably don't even need to be that high. You may find that 6g is all you need to be at. The point is growers see a luscious green plant with no issues and they want to feed more because they think the plant can take more. It can but it doesn't. The plant only uses what it needs of MC.
The excess sits there. Then all of a sudden the plant says OK bring it on. I'll use K as the example again since it's the most common issue growers are having with MC. So much N has been pumped into the medium but the plant only used what it wanted. The excess may or may not show depending on thr chemovar, but when the K is called for it can't uptake it for the amount of N added throughout veg.

So unless you know the minimum the plant wants with MC you'll never know the maximum it'll take as well. Shooting for burned tips is old school with MC imo.

Congrats on the clones man!
Thanks buddy! :high-five:
And congrats to you for winning second place in PhOTM and the prestigious GJOTM award! Well done buddy!:bravo::high-five:

I will PM’ing you soon!

Hectic day brotha. Hope your weekend finds you better.
Thanks buddy! :bong:
just been doing a much needed cleaning/laundry day, waiting for the wife to get off work, head to go buy a present and go to my brothers for my nephews bday party! It seems like we did this last year or something! We gotta do it again!:goof:

So, in your opinion, if a person (that would me) :ciao: is on the verge of “overdosing” a plant on MC then switch to 6 gm/g. should the excess MC be leached out before going back to 6? Or would it work it’s self out without leaching?
You guys are the experienced MC growers, me pushing the amounts up was in no way, me saying “you guys are wrong, look at me go!” I’m just inexperienced with MC, and I was just kinda curious to what “would” happen First hand if those numbers were bumped up. You mentioned old school, yes your right! I tend to be an old school guy, and learn best with hands on experience.
The next feeding, I will bump er’ back down to 6.2 gram/gallon? That sound alright to you? Then go from there!:thumb:

Yes sir, but for the record I'm only making suggestions based on my experience. It's natural to try things on your own and nothing wrong with it. GLN gives a max dose for a reason and that's to keep the ratios in balance. As you keep increasing the amounts you are changing that balance by storing excess nutes in the medium.
The plant will be fine at a lower dose and you probably wont even notice a difference which is another sign that the plants don't need that much.
Detetx just scaled back from 5g to 4.5g as he started having problems as soon as he bumped it up. Now I have not seen his pics and I'm assuming he knows what he's talking about, but the green color is very misleading to new users of MC and could lead to problems quickly as many are finding out.

If your concerned with build up in your medium. You can always do a rinse / reset. Which would be a straight water micro flush of 8 - 12 L, and then come back after it drained with a full nute feeding at your desired rate.

If I’ve got time, I may just do that. I mean I’m sure I’ll be fine without but I’ll see how I feel when it’s feeding day:dude-knocking:

I know alot of growers who go feed feed flush feed feed flush and will do a decent flush before flip do rinse access nitrogen . My tow thoughts for the day.

Update:

I moved the two GC clones into their first pots. Gave one away to my friend @Bushsmasher308 already. Will be giving the other one to @780grow later tonight.
The one tweed clone shown me a root this morning after the lights came on. So I moved to the first pot and 780 will be getting two clones tonight!

A59219E6-74E0-4490-8E62-CC569F21E232.jpeg

Those are the two GC clones. The one on the left I gave to my friend, and the one on the right is our friend 780’s!
0C10125D-28D7-4631-AF62-2879A25C5D15.jpeg

and that one above, is the tweed (bakerstreet) clone he will be getting as well. No pictures of her in the new pot, but you will just have to wait and maybe go visit his journal for more updates on these bad boys girls!

He will be rolling through the city around 8pm tonight.

Still waiting for the final tweed clone to sprout. Right now I’m 4/6 for cloning. Hopefully make it to 5/6. Will never be 6/6 because I ripped out that other clone mere days ago. :smokin2:

The flowering plants are sure putting on weight! The Tweed seed has sure stretched! I was surprised! It should be feed day tomorrow I’m thinking, so stay tuned!

Flower girls are gonna be great, off to a solid flip. Right about now, Calmag issues tend to pop up if your going to have any. Stay frosty for that.

Great job on the clones, are you using powder or gel for the clonex? I will be looking at cloning some of this Black Sugar in the near future....once I get me some rock wool and a dome.

Looking scrumptious B!
Thank you candy! Right back at you! Your tent looks great! :ciao::thanks:

Thanks BVB, means a lot!
Thanks for the heads up! :high-five: I may add some cal mag in with the next feeding.

thanks about the clones man!

I used clonex powder. It’s been working great for me.
your going to use rock wool? If your wanting to keep them in a peat/soil medium then the peat pucks work Great! I’ve had no issues with them!:thumb:

Dude we just got back from vacation and our van we just bought last year would not accrralte properly. Is suspected an oil pressure issue and unfortunately was right. 950 bucks later at the shop for an oil filter adapter, two gaskets a filter and oil plus labour. And that's from a good mechanic who got er done in 2hours! I feel your pain. I also need to put in a good weekend in my truck to replace AC compressor clutch, my coolant Y pipe adapter, heat shield is rattling around and then routine 200km maintenance ughhh

Anyway plants are looking on point broski keep it up.

Update:

This update is a day late. Last night I pulled the plants out and gave them all a feeding of 1.5 gallons each, minus the GC clone. I just fed a lil bit of each out of the 3- 1.5 gallon containers until I saw run off. I mixed up 6.2 grams of MC per gallon of water. :meatballs:

The tent was sitting at 20.2C and 40% RH. I never checked the lows and highs though.

While the plants were out, I lollipoped the SJ and the GC. The tweed seed looked a bit rougher then before, but still kicking. The SJ and GC has a bit of some dried up leaves on the underside of the Canopies. Nothing as major as the tweed but I did see some burnt up leaves. If it continues, I will be micro flushing the plants and proceed with 6 Gr/gallon rather then 6.2 with some extra calmag.

I ended up taking 4 cuttings of the Sour Jack and 4 cuttings from the Green Crack. I transferred them into peat pucks last night before bed, not before dipping them all inclonex powder.

Good news everyone (said like professor farnsworth) :nerd-with-glasses:

The last tweed clone started to root. Caught it last night when I was feeding the plants! That would make me 5 out of 6 for clones. I wish I wouldn’t have ripped out that 6th one but I dug my grave. Now it’s time for me to lay in it. 5/6 it is!

So I met up with @780grow on Sunday. Gave him the clones as well as a small sample of each the Dark Angel and the Blue Cookie to try out. He seemed like a really cool dude! I was that creeper that asked him, “are you by your self or do you have someone with you.” I never realized how creepy that sounded until after I left. He had his gf with him, as that was his response back to me, but I was going to ask him if he wanted to go have a coffee quickly as a Tim Hortons wasn’t far from where we were. They spent all day snowboarding so I don’t blame them for just wanting to go home. 780 and I have been talking a bit outside of the forum as well and he seems like a great dude! It’s funny how close we could have come, to meeting outside of the forum and not even known it. :high-five:
he also gave me a two paper joint of a PPP plant he grew. It tasted delicious and was a very great uplifting buzz. :bravo:Haven’t tried the second joint he gave me yet.

Here’s the photos,

In other news, I effed up my pinky toe. I accidentally kicked the corner of a, pile of 8 inch 14 gauge studs, while I was turning around. I hit the part of my foot that the steel toes don’t cover, (my pinky toe). It’s so damn uncomfortable right now, as I’m wearing my steel toe Winter boots right now in the garage. They’re just so easy to slip on and off. Oh well, I will survive. I also got my tire fixed today and I put it back on my car when I got home from work. Done and done. No more driving my gas gusling truck to work. Anyways, I better shut up or I’ll never finish this update.

I will finish the post off with this beauty of a photo I got this morning!

That’s all for tonight. That’s my Monday update, a day late. Have a great week everyone!
