BabyTrees First Grow!

Yes I know all about having a small grow area to work with. My first tent I built was 4’ tall. I then modified it to be 5’ tall. Then re built my tent to be 6’2” tall.

for you could I suggest something?

move your carbon air filter out of the tent. Leave one end of a tube in the top of the tent.other end hooked up to your fan. With another tube out the other side hooked up to your carbon filter. Then ditch those chains you have hanging your light with. Get some tie wire, and rig up a new hanging system just above your light. Maximizing the height above your light. Now that being said, you still want to leave enough room between the top of your light and your tent. Keep that in mind and you should be fine!

something like this.

I couldn’t find a pic of just my light but hopefully you can see what’s going on there above my light.

Rule of thumb is 24 inch above top canopy

Okay, so kinda had to think up a way to get the light higher without strapping it to a final spot so I've kinda made it work it's not the most even thing in the world it's got a slight gangsta lean I cant quite fix but I think it'll do just fine eh?

So I'm out of paper towels, the northern seed dropped to the bottom of the water no tap root. Kinda curious can I just drop it now in some soil? Does it lessen the likely hood of living?
You can, it might take longer to surface but it can be done. Maybe try tp. Actually you might be able to use a soft face cloth

Thanks for all tips, I'd have to buy some more ducting, and another clamp I believe to toss it outside the tent, after having to move the light up I had to slide over the light and its thrown me in a funky angle, I've got some of the gardening wire, the green stuff I want to use to LST with, would that be sufficient in holding up the light ya think?

My problem is height I wanted 1 foot before flower but also wanted some nice growth so I kept it really close so she'd stack up I'm runny 300W LEDS this is the first time it's given me a issue visually in her leaves of heat stress unless I've missed it, and that'stotally possible hahah.

How are you approaching watering times? I like to see them wilt a little in veg before I give them any water/nutes. Then slowly water to runoff. There's a good watering link in my sig below if you want to give it a read.

Yeah so prior I was letting her dry out like till she was extremely dry, I was told to swap my watering routine so I did a Thursday water, than Monday I'm going to stop that entirely and go back to her telling me when to eat because she'd always BURST with growth after I fed her when she was hungry, if ya check out some of the first pics of her real growth like when I transplanted that's what I was going for before feeds.

The gardening wire stripped to bare wire and wound a few times yes, because it's so bulky otherwise I don't know how many wraps you can get around with the green cover.

Yea, they love the wet/dry cycle and it does show. Now flowering is different for me. They get water on a schedule then. As fast as they get almost dry they get a watering. You'll have to figure it out then what that is if you adopt the method.

So as I'm so limited on space ive kinda been trying to think about how I'm gonna force her into flower because I dont want to flower my little mystic girl this early. I have her sleeping when I am working, so I was thinking I could pop her outta tent but it's not completely dark cause I sleep during the day so I was curious if maybe I could get home from work and toss her into the closet with a fan or something of that nature. my rooms not completely blacked out, like 80% it is

Hey Birdy!
Glad you stopped in pull up a chair, and spark one up we're in for a journey. I am PUMPPPED to see this little mystic grow up It says its a great easy strain to grow, and it looked freaking great on the site I ordered it from.
I think she's gonna be taking off any day now that I started her first nute feed.

I don't know about that. @InTheShed Schleps his in and out daily, maybe he can say.
I grow outside during the day and bring them in at night for more light (and to keep them in veg). When I want to flip them (like I'll be doing next week), I bring them in at night and put them in complete darkness for 12 hours (usually 8pm-8am), and then put them outside again in the morning.

If you have someplace pitch black that you can fit the plant and the fan, that should work fine!

Hey, @BabyTrees i thought you were growing in a tent?

howcome you have to force flower, when all you need to do is switch your timer to 12/12?

remember that, once you do decide to flip to flower, after she finishes stretching they will close to double in size. Keep that in mind. You don’t want to go too long then run out of room mid flower:nervous-guy:

So I am growing in a tent, but I don't want my little mystic to have to swap to flower early, I've got a closet I don't use that's like 24 inches wide or so, 3 footish tall so that may work Woke up and it was 63in my girls room had to swap over to the other propane tank hopefully a few hours of this won't mess up the growth of the girls, it's their night cycle currently or it wouldn't of gotten that cold in their room. I also thought about maybe moving my mystic out of the room and buying a small 50W light and just taking my mystic out for like 4 hours after work everyday and throwing it under the light, or building a veg box under my tent, I live in a destination trailer so I'm extremely limited on space, I've got one area which fit my tent,I have about 3 foot above the tent worth of free space, totally digging the idea of a veg box... I wouldn't mind grabbing another mars hydro for it, but! I don't want to buy another carbon filter is there anything else I could use to draw air from the tent that'd be a little cheaper? I have to also be careful of how much power I'm using on each outlet my house is running 50AMPS so it trips breakers if I plug too much in on certain outlets.
Also I just did the math and I have them on a 16-8 cycle would I see a significant benefit from 2 more hours awake for them? I know I prefer 8 hours of sleep. do they prefer work, or love some good sleep like me?

Alright 420 fam!
The girls are awake and looking great.
Here's my big girl today, I took a photo looking down on the canopy this little trees getting hugge!
I showed off a little of the purpling stem in one of these pics as well!
