Babygirl’s Sour Livers DWC Hydro Grow Journal, November 2021

With a heavy heart, hubby and I had to put our sweet Sadie to sleep tonight. We noticed she had something wrong with her stomach, took her to the ER and found out she had a growth on her spleen that was bleeding into her abdomen. In a matter of 6 hours we went from having an active girl to one who is now sleeping forever. We’re still in shock.

Rest in peace my sweet baby

RIP Sadie. SO sorry cjs. That's a one of a kind hurt and I'm so sorry you guys are going through it. She's beautiful. You will see her again. Dogs go with us wherever it is we go when we die. I know that much.

Sending love and good vibes in your direction for you and the hubby and Sadie today. Hang in there kid.

Thank you all … we’re devastated … this is the third holiday season in the last four years we have had to put a beloved fur baby to sleep. What we’re having the hardest time with is the fact that it was so sudden - that it came out of nowhere … no warning signs, no hint of anything wrong - NOTHING. She was FINE at 7/8pm and then at 11pm we were having to decide whether to put her thru two months of hell (that was the beat prognosis from the vet) or to let her go.

If you guys dont see me for a few days to comment on all your beautiful grows and hard work, just know that you guys blow me away with your skills. Love you all and thanks for the kind and loving words.

My heart sinks for you. Head up to you and the gentleman. I wish I had better words or any worthwhile words at all. Rest your heart. We will be here

I wrote a song for a friend today
A friend whose friend has gone away
And no words I could possibly say
Can help to take that pain away

I shed a tear as her husband cries
Sadie was his son in his misty eyes
His soul is hurting so goddamn bad
The son is supposed to outlive the dad

So take these words that they may soothe you
Take our love so it may heal you
See the hearts that flow your way
And say hi to Sadie when you see her again someday

2021-11-30 - Day 24

Tent temp: 71° F
Tent RH: 40%
Res temp: 66° F
PPM: 830 … rising … adjusted to 850
pH: 6.7 … rising … adjusted to 5.3
Water level: … falling. Down 1 quart; added back 1 quart of the same solution that was made yesterday. PPM went up to 850. pH was stubborn to drop, took two whole ml to get the pH down to 5.3. Starting tomorrow only plain pH’d water will be added back to the res daily

Growth across now at almost 17” - between 4.5”-4.75” tall; spotting noticed previously doesn’t seem to have progressed. Notice she’s starting to put off your typical skunky odor. Area where I topped looks to have four new growths instead of two, so I’m assuming I did it right. Also noticed she starting to lean and grow out of the side of her rapid rooter; guess she’s not liking the confinement.

Yes, it’s difficult to monitor how the EC is really dropping if you top up with a solution (instead of plain water) when you see that the EC has become more concentrated due to water consumption.

I would only top up with a 20-25% solution IF I measured that the EC had DROPPED BEFORE topping up, because that means the plant is eating faster than she is drinking (the nutrient solution is probably not quite strong enough).

She’s beautiful BTW!

Noted … tx Felipe; just didnt have it in me to distill more water today … been just a crappy day

I understand :green_heart:

How do you distill your water?

Device called the Mega Home … looks like an overgrown coffee maker on steroids - but distills only 1 gallon at a time. Cant believe I paid as much for this as I could have for a small portable RO system
