Not the prettiest but in a pinch this will do.. Time to research a better option.. perhaps some black paint.. As I have the double hole tops I can use temp while I fix these.


 
After looking at a few journals.. It appears 70º is to high.. and I have the chiller set to 68 but it shuts off when it reaches 70. So time to bump it down to 64 and see where it stops at.. Warm water + light = algae which I'm guessing is a bad thing.
 
I think I'd use something other then foil. It's known to have hot spots on reflecting at the plants . I'd go with reflective duct tape
 
Beautiful air moving through the pot the roots will love it .. Do you use any beneficial bacteria in your buckets

Maybe you can buy a second lid?

I would think that would be a good thing. A "hotspot" wouldn't be anywhere near a strong as the light.
 
Cardboard will start to mold
 
I've tried that already. That's y I chose reflecting duct tape it keeps the light out and won't hold moisture
 
I like your setup it looks awesome a little fine tuning and it will b a growing machine ..
