B.I.N.G.O. Seedsman Comparative Grow - Banana Jealousy

Looking awesome Jiggi👍❤️😊👊.

Just curious because you are using Chicken Soup and it's intrigued me for a long time but it hasn't made it to the top of my list yet of things to try.

Have you tested your plants with a refractometer to see how brix and calcium are cycling and doing?

I would love to know, it would save me a ton of work.

Lurking and watching intently....
I have not ever touched a meter. I'm not really sure what to do with the numbers and all them mathimifractions. 😇
I do think the SIP grow bucket thingy is something I'd like to do eventually.

I haven't figured out how to do the double reply thing yet sorry

I haven't lost a seed yet, not to sound all honkey dory lol however...so I poked around to get a peek at the platinum rootbeer seedling and to my horror it was encased and being consumed by tiny clear worm maggots. Fuckin maggots. So I thought about sticking the container in the microwave for a few good long minutes..I'm just grossed out they ate my baby!!!
The other seed was poking out and looking stout. Hoping it roots through the night and makes it to stage one.
Gonna get some more Sierra Natural Science for the soil. I just set that dead baby crib aside and away from the garden. Ugh.

🎶dead babies aren't much fun🎶

Do you use outdoor compost or outdoor worm dirt in your indoor pots? I've been burned before by bringing outdoors in. It never works out well for me. Pests always come in with it.

I set the pots outside by the strawberry patch a few days ago, that's probably what happened. There's lots of little life forms in that area. I pick some an leave some so everyone big an micro gets to enjoy the fruit.

I like the chicken soup for the soil. It's got molasses and all them natural nutrients in it. The plants like it. It goes a long way. I'm sure from the smell of it it's got the castings and guano too. The bloom kaboom has a more copper fishery smell. Looks like the runoff on the pavement after it rains, all black with oils. If I were to compare the chicken soup to another well known source it would be similar to Fox farm big bloom. Idk if that answered your question. Hope it got close.

I love Foxfarm Big Bloom. I use it for my orchids. I had no idea Chicken Soup was similar. Thanks Jiggi. I gotta go buy some now👍👊

So if I had to choose a favorite between the 2, I prefer Fox farm. However I'm out of it so I'm having to utilize what I've got at hand. The Dr. JimZ mixed well with the Fox Farm so it's a good combo if you need one.

The reefertilizer Bloom is great stuff too but you gotta watch to not combine flower boosters that are high in phosphorus and potassium, it does best with boosters that are more on the sugars side.

I was training them..😁 they just kinda went wild and all out anarchy.
You can't be turning you back you should know that 😂 I tied my last ladies down last minute and a couple of mains still managed to break free 🤦‍♂️ at the back of the tent all I could do was give them the finger 😂

I had to whip my ladies into submission with HST, pinching and bending the stems to get them lower... They seemed to respond well to the torture...

Update 6/3/24

2 weeks into flower. I'm not 100% on when I did backtrack the journal to get an idea. So that's what we're moving forward with. Good ol'round it out.

Nutrients: Dr. JimZ Chicken soup for the soil 1 x 2 wk. Dr. JimZ Bloom Kaboom 1 x month when they 1st begin to flower. Remainder of the grow I will be using Reefertilizer Bloom. And here in there I may add ¼ tsp. Of Beastie Blooms in between waterings. Reefertilizer Bloom is 1 x week, 5 to 10 ml (1 spoon, 2 spoon) when adding Beastie Blooms keep it to the low dose. What I like about the Reefertilizer is if you over feed you can just add water and it'll take care of it. Also, once every 1-2 months I top dress the soil with Dr. JimZ Tomato Secret. I just kinda water it in with time.

Room Temp: 73°F--75°F

Today's humidity: 77.1%

Update Seedsman Banana Jealousy

94 days = 13 weeks and 3 days
2-3 weeks into flowering (guestimation).

Everything is growing well in the Frankenstein box. The ladies smell amazing. They're flowers are bulking up. Each one has its own unique shape and growth. Absolutely gorgeous plants, thank you @SeedsMan.

You can see they are starting to develop trichomes on the outer leaves and it's dappling into the center. Every morning the buds are just a little more robust.
THe DLI is set between 40 and 58+ kind of depends on where the photone meter is applied. I've got my big lights dialed in at about 80%. I think..lol... sometimes I find the settings are different from day to day if I check them on a regular basis. I watch the leaves for light stresses, and move the plants around often so everyone gets a little bit of what they lacked before. Understand?

As a noob grower, I definitely recommend these to anyone who lacks experience. The key to growing a great plant is patience. ❣️
