B.I.D.'s Mysterious 8.0 Featuring? Come See If You Dare!

That is some nice info. I am after arthritis easing medicin, so maybe I should stick with more purpleish plants?
i'ts certainly worth a shot, i know i like the effects of many purples no matter if its a sativa or indica dominate cross, purple maroc will remove a migraine for spiffy faster than any other single thing we have tried, gdp is one of the only sure fire things that will put me to sleep longer than 2-3 hours without being woke up from back pain, beating out even heavy duty rx's like ambean
almost any afgani strain will purp with low temps like ak , so for sure give it a try.:rocker:

Makes since. Plus its just so Damn pretty! I heart you purple herbujana and every color you present yourself in for that matter, lol

yeah im not a bigot i love em in all colors:circle-of-love:

I got a question BID I know out of the 3 of you guys testing these lights
I remember someone saying during power off theres still some power being drawn while its off
was that you? if not is yours doing the same thing?
I remember dave saying something about shutting off the whole thing with the controller
im just curious if everyones light is doing it
so im wondering if you just wanted to use the programming off the controller feature
there will never be a time when it isn't drawing power like a normal light you would hook up to a timer?

yes they all do it as far as i know, icemud mentioned it first, i did notice a couple of the red led's(ir i think) are slightly lit only enough to notice if you are looking at them in a dark room, if you disconnect the controller they go completely off, i believe it has to do with how the controller works,,looking inside the tents during lights out its pitch black in there, personally im not concerned about the power consumed they conserve more than enough to offset the 2 bucks a year they use and te controller is way way to awesome to not use if you have them! thanks for asking CHH:rocker:

Hey Cronic!!! I wanted to let you know that I am running my lights by the controller and also the custom light schedule that is listed on the website....But also I am using a regular digital timer to turn on and off the light completely during dark hours. I have the timer set 1 hour before the lights on and 1 hour after the lights go off so during this dark period, my light is drawing no power. I also want to say that at least for 6 hours, the controller does keep its custom settings, I haven't tried it for longer yet, but will find out when I hit flowering. This is the way that I prevent any extra unneeded power draw, as well as make sure the lights dont effect the pants (even though very dimly lit).

Hey BID...I'm tired tonight but wanted to drop by and say hello!! Hope all is well!

I was wondering about that if the power cutoff to it if it would remember
is there a battery in the controller unit? or is it just holding it in a cap

yeah i had a long day working in the garden, and shooting vids spiffy and i are readying up to revive the "do it" outdoor veggie garden thread so she busted her ass in the greenhouses and i helped her get her soil amended and cooking with t&j tea and all sorts of goodies going for a hi-brix veggie garden

im pretty sure the controllers will hold the settings the custom mode on both of mine had some random settings im memory and im sure they had been without power well over 24 hours and the settings i put in the first few min were still there overnight. so i think once you put them in they might stay till they are changed

What about having a low of 55 degrees isn't that too low? YouI would put a small room heater on a temp/timer to keep them temps from dropping below 65... I was told that you generally do not want more than a 15 degree difference from the temps Hi/Lows for optimal growing environment. Is this false information?
I don't really know if it is bad info or not but if you think about the real outdoors the temps certainly vary more than 15 degrees at times at least around here they do. During the summer it can be 90 during the day and 60 at night and during the spring and fall it is even a greater difference.....:circle-of-love:
