Away's First Grow - DIY Closet Grow - TopLED Mars II 80x5 - 2014

Thank you john,
I gave the plant this fertilizer, and after a few hours this showed up, So I am GUESSING it was because I over feed it, which droped my PH way to low and locked out phosphorous... I threw this bottle of cheap fert away and am going back to my organic stuff... Thanks for the advice on the gnates =) I have caught about 7 adults on sticky traps so I may have to go for a more heavy approuch to get rid of them, I like the sound of the diatomaceous =)
If you have a vacuum with hose attachment just shake leaves and when they move about suck them up with the hose

Okay, today i came home to this sight, had only been away for 1 day... wtf? Cup-shape leaves remind me of my male i had, the one that got too much nitrogen.. but then the yellowing between the veins looks like she's asking for food??? Wtf?

This is the chocolate Kush btw.. my healthiest plant..

Inputs are greatly appreciated!

new growth looks healthy. I would let them ride it out. make sure to let the containers get light before watering.

I would at minimum invest in a thermometer/hygrometer that can be purchased for under 5$ and a liquid pH test kit that can be obtained for under 10$ for your grow. Your plant either has a evaporation problem due to low humidity or a magnesium deficiency. For a magnesium deficiency you can either use a calcium and magnesium supplement or use Epsom Salts at 1 teaspoon per gallon. I use Botanicare"s Cal-Mag Plus at 1 teaspoon or 5 millilitres per gallon added to my nutrient mixture.

because i only take them out for photos when i water obviosly? ;)

Hi there!

My guess would be low humidity! Way to early for needing epsom! I'll find my humidifier for you;) In the meantime try to keep your closet moist! Wipe the inside walls over with a wet cloth every now and then... You can borrow my hygrometer as well on monday. I don't need it, as my humidity here in the end of flower is steady 36%;) And when i was in veg i had it on approximately 70%. Never had any humidity issues;)
By the way... My girls looks great!!! :) You won't believe the frosting on the Rhino's:) AMAZING dude;) Now have a nice weekend everyone;)

Got a bottle of water in there for now + i'll wipe the walls untill we get the humidifer in here.. Looking in there now , the chocolate kush is juuuuust fine hehe ;) i think the cupping leaves is evaporation problems or an old nitrogen problem, but it's not present on the new growth atleast ;) My cream caramel is just beautifull to be honest and the cheese is starting to get after it.. The Black russian im still a little doubtfull about and the bubblegum havent really moved much since transplant.. But we'll see maybe they just need some time ;)

Sounds awesome about your ladies bro, cant wait to see some bud-porn! :) White Rhino hash... my mouth is dripping just from the thought :)

Hi there;)

What did the girls say to higher humidity? I'll find my spray bottle for you as well if you don't have one... Was thinking it's a good idea to spray them before the light's off for a couple of days. Just with plain rainwater;) Like i did when the kalashnikova was suffering. Again... Just till they back on track:)
My girls still looks great;) The "saliva pheno" white rhino(must be the brazillian genes) are starting to yellow a bit on some leafs. A bit strange as you should suspect the indica one to finish first. But on the other hand... If thats my biggest "concern" my split time still looks pretty good.
The fruity chronic juice outside had another attack of pain-in-the-ass-bugs of different kinds, so got her a nice nicotine bath yesterday. And this morning she's back on track again. Really good stuff this nicotine;)
The pineapple was transplanted yesterday and obviously she liked it!!! She's bigger than she was yesterday, so that must be a good sign;) So guess your baby is in good hands;) I'll give her some bactrex and some root juice today. Just a bit! I know she's an auto;)
What about the black to black? Have you started her up yet? It's really exciting with that one i think!
Was thinking of the black russian last night... Hope she'll make it... The temperature will lower in my room as she'll finish bloom, so i guess she'll be all red and black! Also really exciting;)
See you soon... Have a great weekend everyone:)

Aloha Away,
Welcome. As you already know, there are a lot of members that will and can give you the best advice what ever you plan on doing. On my first indoor closet grow, was thankful the closet was already white so I didn't need to buy paint or mylar paper or such. To light prove the doorway and other places and things I went cheap and bought either black plastic sheeting or even cheaper, black shower curtain liners. At the discount stores they run about 3 dollars and can be cut or not. Hung 2 for separation from grow area and drying area. And the plastic sheeting can be used anyway you want. Water proofing your grow floor ect. Shower liners too. Some times you can buy the shiny aluminum tape. It is cheaper and holds better than duct tape. I went around to yard sales and found some computer modums that had fans that still worked if you want to add more. Got 4 in 2 week ends for 3 dollars total. As for fertilizers, that will need advice from others but everyone will say what they use is the best. My first 2 outdoor grows, I used Miracle gro Rose plant food and bought worm castings and organic soil but not the really cheap or the really expensive. The rose food , bat guano, seakelp worm castings and perlite. I will post pics at the end. But now my soil grow I use the 3 part floragrow. Now that I know a lot more of soil growing, I buy the stuff and mix " sub cool super soil. Takes a few ingredients but once it is ready for your ladies that are ready for their final grow bucket, the sub cool soil is on the bottom (1/3) and the rest is just plain potting soil. By the time the roots hit the S.C.S. they are ready for nutes and I never fertilize again. Youtube SubCoolSuperSoil for when you are ready to go that route. Well Away, good luck, keep it green and most important. K.I.S. (keep it simple ) I am from Hawaii and I will D.W.C. during our 2-3 months of winter. The rest of the year, strickly outdoors. Can't waste our sun. I have done the DWC and loved it but very tricky and a heck of a lot of work. Made my own grow light with CFL bulbs but it got to much with outdoor and indoor so I potted my indooy plants in soil and closed down the closet grow. The plants roots were about 3 feey long and 2 ft tall still vegging and took well to the transition. Here are pics of some which just got the rose food regimine some got the floragrow regimine. Had a lot of trim and a friend that won nug of the month, member of the month and plant of the month on this 420 mag site, he gave me a Magical buttermschin so I also made some killer cannabutter. Well good luck and much Aloha. I will be popping in from time to time to watch you grow some killer plants.
