Autoflower

Re: Autoflower.

Because you can put your vent hose facing down like an elephants trunk so light can't get thru or filter over it. and as long as it's sealed to the tent no light will pass thru around it. :)

Re: Autoflower.

24 is fine for seedlings. 3-5 nodes put on 18/6. As far as the vents just make sure they have fresh air or they will die. Extra light not a problem on 24 hr light.

Re: Autoflower.

Autos flower on a time schedule rather than a light schedule. You can run 18/6, 20/4 or even 24/0 all the way through harvest. I would recommend 18/6 or 20/4 as a good, general starting point. You could also check with the breeder to see if they have a specific recommendation for a given strain.

Re: Autoflower.

Hi everyone,
I have a quick question. Should Autoflower seedling be on 24 or 18/6 ? I've had it on 24 cause my brand new tent is not light tight. Have been using duct tape to cover. Just can't figure out how it be light tight with the ventilation.
Thanks guys!

Completely light tight shouldn't matter with Auto's, don't sweat it.

Some strains may be different but from my experience and what I have read, running 24/0 is not a good idea. I read several stories where 24/0 caused stunted growth. This was my experience as well.

Overall it looks nice and healthy. What strain is it? How old?

Do you know if autoflowers grow like that ? So wide . It's auto pounder. I planted it straight from germination to the pot on Friday 4/11, so 2 weeks and couple of days since I planted it. Maybe I shouldn't have done it like that but I've always heard it's best not to transplant.
Thanks for your interest.

Your plant looks right on track. It will go through different phases of growth during veg - including stretch. It will get taller soon, no doubt about it. Compare it to your previous picture in another seven to ten days :)

Really good job so far!

My Autoflower is growing but is much wider than the height. It's so close to the dirt. I don't know what to expect since Autoflowers are new to me. Need a picture to show what I mean. Ok. Took a picture..

That girl looks beautiful! :goodjob:

Your plant looks great. You will drive yourself crazy if you compare your grow to others. Its hard not to do, I know. If your plant looks healthy, dont worry about it.

Good advice Billyjack. :thumb:

Obi is right. I grew autos for years and love them. I have an auto grow going on right now with 5 different strains. I find them a joy to grow and I have a personal preference toward them. You are doing great with that plant! :bravo:

Just remember to try to be relaxed and have fun growing. Growing is supposed to bring you peace and joy not stress. :circle-of-love:

Thanks guys !! I do enjoy it, it's like a hobby to me. I get frustrated over my set up though. It's in I think a 3 ft tall tent, so with the T5 fixture not much room. I have a 4x4 about 6 or 7 ft. tall tent but can't get it up by myself. My auto pounder is gonna get bigger and bigger. I must admit I'm proud of myself cause it is so healthy looking.
