I'll have to look back int the journal... You're more than welcome to give it a read... She's in my cropking contests journal. Topped a5 3rd node and fluxed.. Topped again after 3 sideways horizontal flux nodes. Then anything that was outgrowing the rest got topped again... I count about 25 tops... I keep losing count. Lol:)

Don't know if I should ask this in this thread, but here's my question. I have been growing for about 2 years. I add something new each grow , tent, lights, etc. I have gone from cfl's to 250 watt HID on this grow. I have a Gorilla Light tent, 2' x 2.5'. I'm trying to harvest a plant about every month, start new seed about a week after current plant starts to flower. Would it be worth it to get a Mars300 LED Grow Light or stay with the HID. My latest into the tent is an Auto Seeds Berry Ryder. I started it under cfl's for about 3 weeks, then into tent under 250 watt HPS. It grew like crazy, up to 2" a day. To me it looks more like a sativa than an indica. It has large internode spacing. Could that be due to going under the HPS too soon.
 
I believe the stretch came from you switching lights and assuming your hid is more of a bloom light. It's stretching looking for more blue light. That's my guess. But then again these are autos we are talking about here so they do what they want when they want. I have three of the same strains from the same shipment and all three look different and grew different.

I'd say it's just the way the plant wants to grow and not your lighting.Going under your hps should in theory give you more compact internodes as its more intense light.I have one that has done the same thing and instead of more compact indica flowers it threw whole branches of spaced nodes like sativa but spose to be 90% indica

I agree with the other responses about the stretch. I have 4 of the exact same plant going now, 3 different phenos. The Mars 300 will be good for only 1 plant. In LED you want to try to hit about 50watts/sqft or more. 30 would be a minimum. I have 4 of the mars 300 and 1 mars 1200. I will only use them for budding. My personal favorite is CFL and Fluoro for veg and LED for bloom.

Thanks to the input. I ordered a MarsHydro MARSII 400 from Amzn last nite. Just hope it comes in a plain brown wrapper. Ordered a 4" fan and filter kit a few weeks ago. Not thinking to ask (too disoriented?) forgot to ask about that. When I pu at po nice pictures and id all over boxes. Waiting for a knock. Just want to add, always a lurker absorbing info and using my uncommon senselessness to chose what sounds more logical. This site sure has more documented info than I've seen on other sites. Waiting to cut an Auto Seeds Trans Siberian. Being on the other side of maturity but not actions find it difficult to get a steady look at trichs, but looks like maybe 5% amber. Got impatient and cut some popcorn and quick dried over nite and a pleasing buzz. Sorry to be so long winded.
