Auto Topping LED Grow

Schtiggy, that's the exact kind of beauty I thrive to achieve, with some grows under my belt, of course. And I thank you for sharing.
thebeast, thank you kindly sir. I am super excited to start. can't wait to get my beans.
I am not totally set up yet, I have today and tomorrow off from work, so I will hopefully get it mostly done by then.

GROW BOX: 2 3/4' X 2 3/4' X 4' (inside painted white)

FANS: exhaust fan, 4" (225 cfm) pulling through DIY carbon filter (back, top left)
6' Fresh, intake filter (bottom right), 2 pc fans for inside (possibly need 1 oscillating?)

LIGHTS: Advanced Platinum Series 150W LED (19 in. X 5 in.) & 96W, 2ft. 4 bulb, T5

MEDIUM: Pro mix BX Biofungicide & Perlite (not sure of ratio yet)

POTS: 9"X 9", 10" tall, 3 gallon

NUTRIENTS: none at the moment. not sure what, if any, I need.

STRAIN: Jack Horror, auto flower (5).

I also have a timer for lights, cheap, wallyworld, digital temp/ro meter, and a PH meter (pen), which brings me to this; my tap water has a PH at 7

I was thinking of starting with the T5 and 2 seedlings. Then switching to the LED for veg (lights side by side) and introducing 2 more for a perpetual grow. i have lots of room to work with, aside from box, but don't want to invest a fortune on lights...yet. Will this be efficient? What improvements would be suggested? Any and all comments/suggestions welcome and appreciated.
Thanks again guys!!!

Yeatster nice lights mate will do fine with those.u will defo need nutes mate for sure and calmag;) id recomend advanced nutrients sensi grow for veg and sensi bloom for flower its ph perfect and very good stuff.also advanced nutrients do calmag also;) apart from that u seem to have everything else in order good job.And as spart says get a journel going mate then we can all be there to help;) happy growing every1;)

Do you still need to Ph your water with PH perfect? Or just add it and done?

you just add it and done , i have not used a ph tester since i swoped to AN ,
if you are running led you will need cal/mag but if you go on there website they do a lot off things that you can add without effecting your PH
I cannot recommend them enough , made my life allot easier .
Be safe

Schtiggy iv never owned a ph pen or meter i have never messed or checked ph.the feed is ph perfect.and my soil is very good also maintains correct ph levels;) sometimes run into defiencies but i tackle them head on.thats how i taught myself to grow using my eyes and i will continue to grow this way.works for me.i go by the look of my plants to tell me there ok;)

I'm with beast on this one as long as your using soil it buffers the nutes/watering anyways I don't own a ph thingy. I use biobizz soil biobizz nutes and fresh straight from the tap water. I don't even let it sit out or bubble it or anything like that. Had one problem with ph but that was because I re-used my soil even at that I just added fresh top layer of soil and it was fine.

.i stumbled upon biobizz light mix when i decided to buy professional soil.results are magic everytime time cnt ever see me using anything else.plus i wont use the all mix to rich for seeds and heard a few bad reports on all mix.but lightmix me and my plants love .is a key point what medium u choose .because without a good medium u are setting yourself up for trouble later.speaking from own findings.before i found lightmix i used general purpose compost.gota start somewere lol but learned everything i know now .so cnt be bad;) happy growing every1;)

How do you prepare your mix? I grow hydro but have a friend that I will be starting some autos in soil and always have pH problems when I mix my own.

Thanks for all the great info. Because of you I just pinched off the tops of my Medicann Kush Fromage Auto and my Paradise Vertigo Auto. Can't wait to see what happens.

I have not bubbled before but i am now , if you are using Bio root boosters then you should bubble or the chlorine in tap water will kill the good bacteria .
If you are not using Bio root boosters then it can be beneficial not to as the chlorine can help with root rot.
Oh and i swapped to biobiz light mix after seeing beast results .
Be safe .

i use the biobizz root juice each time my plants have nice healthy root systems. Thanks for the info I might get one of the bubblers but not to much point really I only mix up 1.5l at a time so haven't needed to keep a lot of fluids ready at any one time.
Great info man:thumb:
