hobies go for it man i didnt go mars hydro nothing against them just think there over rated.i cnt say the brand of lights on here not allowedbut il buy better led,s in time if prove there worth it. but id say if u have the funds have a crack mate we only live once ha ha.

Like beast said" have a ceack with Led.... To get my CFL grow upto that level would cost the same, if not more than buying an LED panel
Thats why when i upgrade, its gonna be LED....
Just having 1 unit running, on 1 lead us a bonus... I would have to have 4 cables at least....
Like beast, i too plan to be on cheaper end of market.... Get used to it, then go for summin with more oomph.
I have seen quality results with similar units and the 300w MH old units that are being phased out by them..
The ones being used on here seem to be working great.
Maybe a budget amount would help, someone will be able to help you with suggestions...

For anyone else who wants to custom title their journal in the signature, here's a quick how-to:
Copy the URL of your journal somewhere for pasting later
Go to "Edit signature" in your settings
In the text box, type in what you want your journal named (example: My huge buds Journal)
Highlight what you typed and then click the little Globe with the link under it on the second line of bars above the text box.
Paste the URL of your journal that you saved there, and save it.
Now be SURE to click on "Save Signature" below that text box or it won't record the changes. If you aren't sure it looks right, click on the "Preview Signature" first and you can look it over. Then you can click save or make any changes you need before saving it.
Done!
You can play with font sizes and colors, etc. when you are ready and comfortable with changing things in the signature box.

While replying to a thread, hit the 'advanced options' and click the show signature box.
Edit: also.. Appears this step needs to be done each and every time you write a new reply

LOL, you shouldn't have to do that at all. Go to settings above this page, it will take you to your own settings and you do your signatures from there. Left sidebar, you will see options for signature.
Then follow the step by step in that first link I gave on how to add siggy's. Be sure to save!

I'm still using a 3w Mars Hydro LED that has a plant doing fantastically under it. The other plants I've used it for have also done very well. I was pleased as punch.
Pretty soon I will upgrade to the 5W.
But I will keep using that 3W for vegging for sure!

All settings are saved for showing signature. Its just me and my mobile site issues, i think. Not a big deal, but appreciate the help and the wanting to help.

I am far from knowing which LED is better than the next, I've only been using three different brands since my current grow started.
I'll give my opinion on what I see thus far.
I have three in use currently. Mars Hydro 96 x 3, Budmaster XG 4 panels x 75W each, Smart Grow Technologies Par Force.
I have to say I am quite impressed with how the Smart grow light is doing, the plants seem to really thrive under that light. It's more of a natural lighting also, not the reds/purples/blue hues typical with LED's. There are no fans involved, their aluminum technology absorbs the heat within the housing. Strange but true. LOL
It's long as opposed to square, so I can fit 4 plants under it with no problem in a row, which is nice in my particular grow space. I would not recommend it for a tent unless you have a 4' wide one and plan on only using that light, I feel it's too much length to deal with and get additional lights in the tent if needed.
The Budmaster XG produced some huge buds for me on a Buddha strain, the plant went wild! Spread out all over the place and grew like crazy. I was quite happy with that.
The Mars hydro produces nice foliage and buds, the plants seem to really fill out well with it. I haven't had any issues at all with the MH light, and I have had one in every grow.
That's really all I can say with any kind of knowledge. Only what I have seen so far. Not much to go on. LOL
Budmaster has some great stuff going on, but...so does Mars Hydro.....

Beast, I've got the old style 150 3w MH reflector n love it cos it has the veg n bloom switches. got it cos I'm in a small space. Just ordered a 300 5w MH full spec for under 58 quid. Cheep as chips m8. I'll be swapping them out n use the reflector for veggin in my other lil space where i'm using cfls at mo..
