2nd some strains throw nanners when allowed to go long inflower... usually it wont affect the buds to much but it will fuck up any younger plants in same room

Have you tried making bubble hash or fresh frozen hash. Not that difficult and a little safer but easier to handle.

What's the wattage? Each brand/manufacturer will have different distance suggestions. Good rule of thumb I find:
If it's 300-600 you're probably wanting to keep it around 24" away, 18" at it's closest. 1000w+ about 36".


I have 2x1000w (cheap) LED's in my room right now and they're both at 36".

Ppl do great things w/300 watts.

If you wanna add a cheap bit of lighting that works great IMO especially during veg...check out walmart or ikea for a pendant light. (socket attached to a long plug in chord) Less than $10 each. Walmart sells 100w CFL's, 2 pack for $7. I've compared side by side with a grow bulb from a local plant store...that's much more expensive...same output, lumens etc. Exactly the same.

As my boss likes to say "More wattage more poundage man".

That's a lot of light I just turned this one on and made the mistake of looking into it and almost went blind. I add 2 more 300 watts my walk in closet will look like a full blown spaceship .
