Auto Growers Club

Hello Everyone. I'm Sinful, still new to the forums. I hope it's okay to post a question here?
I have a midnight express auto that is 3 leafed. I'm not sure how to go about topping this plant? Or would it be better to leave things as they are? Any suggestion would be helpful.
Thank you.

Hi sinful . It looks like it has alternate noding already so I would just leave it be. Might not get the same result as expected. LST sounds like a better option to me. It may have a genetic malformity having a trileaf .

Hiya!
I've been on here about a week now and still can't work out how to post things of my own. I only seem to be able to read and reply to other people. Being a recent auto convert I thought I'd have a go and chip in before I give up.

Perfect, I thought the same of the nodes. I would hate to top only to lose out on the extra branching. .

Looks like the branches are already there so a little encouragement should be all she needs with lst , ponytailing or leaf tucking there should be significant growth.

My last grow is the 1st time I've ever tried lst. The plant looked like a bonsai tree. I've heard the term ponytailing but I don't know much about it. I'll spend some time tonight looking into it. Thank you.

It's a very simple technic.. I used it my last grow and it doys allow a lot more light/growth in from my experience.. Just gentle tie those few fans at the top together with something like pipe cleaners for a few hours every day... That's basically it..

Lie after tucking is well worth the time to.. It really does make a difference

I feel as if my plants are stunted a bit either something to do with the nutes/feeding the defol
Or light height or may just be me being sceptical lol they have been trained up well just wondering when they will be going in to flower as says the auto cycle is 65/75 days but thinking it will be more than that they are staring to smell ..

Definitely post some pictures when you can. Does your plant have buds yet? Bananas would stick out of the buds. I just had to deal with this myself. What strain are you growing? Maybe it's just the strain keeping it short.

i would say start now until you can tuck the leaves. But only for half of lights on.

I've had the lights at 24/0 for the last 2 weeks. I'll switch that tonight and then start the training tomorrow.
Oh hey, thanks for teaching me something new. I think getting the hang of this will be easier than lst but also might make lst easier once I can visually see what I want the plant to do.
If that make sense to you. .
