Just use plain water now. Give one water to good run off, allow to dry. Then water only and enough so thay when you water the plant is dry 48hours later then repeat 3 or 4 times.

They are still very green. So hopefully it will start using up its own reserves. During tjis time buds will get denser and riper

So I leave dry for 48 hours then water? Last time i missed a watering by one day and I think noticed the buds had shrunk a bit any idea what that means or has that happened to you?

Well bud will shrink if it drys, considering more than 2/3s of the plant are made up of water. When you water it will swell back up but that means nothing reàlly because when you harvest the plant the buds will dry out anyway.

If it can take a water everyday, that is better. But just with you growing in soil i wasnt sure if your soil would dry out between waterings.

That makes alot of sense okay so it takes 2 days after the day that I water to dry out completely and the pot will be very light then on the third day i water in the morning

That is usually how I water but one time i let it go to the 4th day and buds started to shrink and as soon as I watered they started to swell up again

Another quick question! When you hang your buds to dry do you need to make sure they are in complete darkness or is it ok if they get very very little light but not direct light and if they are hanging in cardboard boxes?
 
Yeah its better to dry in the dark but it will be fine if its not pitch black. Ive dried in rooms that arent dark many times with no problems.
 
You should just start a journal mate. That way you have your own space to document what you are doing and somewhere to direct people if problems ever come up. I have journals 7 or 8 years old here and once in a while i look back and think wow, how times change lol.

Check out my journals too. I have some good grows going on. I dont grow in soil but you mighy learn sometbing from my coco threads.

That's awesome man I bet looking back at your first grow is crazy lol. I guess I should start a journal, I'm also growing blueberry from canuk seeds and It's at the end of week 5 she looks beautiful smells just like blueberry muffins and looks like she's going to have huge buds lol. I also have a cookies strain from canuk on week 3 or 4 of flower. Hey about the hanging drying process is it ok if at night the temps go down to about 60 degrees fahrenheit??

I defiantly will be checking out your journal's man since I plan on making the switch to coco coir since somebody on here convinced me yesterday lol

Buds420; I was right where you are now, 1 yr. ago. I started mixing coco into my FFOF soil at 1st, then I was reading bedroom farmers journal and he was growing in pure coco. And then I found Cultivators journals and his information & advice has helped me tons. Thanks Cult. & bedroom farmer ! I've learned a lot, and learning still. Concentrating now on learning to read the foliage. It's more expensive growing in coco & also more labor, but the end result can be amazing. You'll immediately notice growth rates far exceeding growing in soil. I'll never go back. Hope to follow your journal, soon ?

Thanks slowpuffer that's exactly where I'm at I see the positive talk about coco and I just have to make the switch and I see it is more labor ect. But I honestly enjoy the work and challenges. Well now for sure I need to start a journal after what u just said that is inspiration! you guys are awsome love this community really couldn't see myself going anywhere eals for advice ect. lol there's no need too

That's odd haha... Probably just a freaky mutant lol maybe she will have some more cool mutations in flower... or maybe it is a common thing that I'm unaware of.

If you start a journal on 420 mag., then there is literally 0 chance you can fail. But there are folks that will put you on the wrong track, so ask questions, before blindly excepting anyone's advice. You ever need help, hit me up ? Cultivator is the man, as far as I'm concerned !! Does anyone here use root riot plugs for starting seeds ?
If so , my questions are :
1. Should I soak my seeds first then put them into the root riot plugs ?

2. Do I put the point facing down on the seeds into root plugs ?

3. Once I put the seeds into the plugs , do I give them light too ? 18/6 ? 600 watt LED is what I'll be using.
 
i used rapid rooters. I soak them overnight in RO water. I soak the seeds overnight as well. Then I place the seeds into the rooters pointy end up and place under a t5 light in trays with a dome and once they sprout plant the rooter into a solo cup. I get about a 95% success rate. Once in awhile you get a seed that just wont sprout but otherwise it works great.
 
Hello everybody,

I have RQS Amnesia x OG Fem Auto going right now and I noticed that there is new growth on top of the buds. I'm curious as I didn't expect new "veg" type growth after the plant flowers.

I hope you can see what I described. Below are the grow particulars. Has anybody seen this sort of thing? What is it and what should I do?

Particulars:

O - RQS Amnesia x OG auto fem seeds,
O - 118 days old
O - I started this on a 18-6 cycle and had to (because of space problems) go to 12-12 to finish off another plant. Once that was completed, I put her back on 18-6.
O - Kind soil
O - Gets 64 ounces of ph corrected water (6.0 ish) about every 3 days.

Does this look right to y'all?

Because she has been on 12/12 then put back to 18/6 she is going back to re-veg, good chance she may of hermied at this point to due to stress.
