Ase's Perpetual Fun With Coco

Day 31 Veg Tent A

I did my major defoliation and the start of my training today. 11 days to flip unless they really slow down. 42 days was the flip of my current flowering grow and they have all turned out about the right size. I may try on my next grow to go a tad longer but it's too much to pass up flipping on New Years.

I always look down after the first one and think, I should do a before and after photo. The funny part is I think I've done this exact thing 3 grows in a row now. Either way this is the "before" photo.

After. Let the quadline begin! They got a nice feeding today so I expect them to look really nice in the next 48 hours.

Sweet training buddy .

Thanks Ase! This is what I was looking for. I think my calmax is similar to your cal mag and so I'll keep it in the line up. I'm going to copy the 1-1-1, what week do you usually start your PK boost? Or I'll go back and look . no prob! Thanks bud!

Joe, I screen shot on every page of Ase's journal including his plants to show my hubs. your in the right place.#friendlycanadian420stalker

How are the seedlings coming along Ase? I managed to retain my 100% germ rate after all - and now have more than I can flower!

Omg you guys rock I was just wondering myself I guess I need to call advanced nutrients and see what they recommend for when I stop giving it the the grow base of ph feeder trio .

I am thinking about getting ready to flip myself but unsure how much more I bring my ppm up to ?

But this answered so many others questions I had I screenshot it so I don’t forget. Been along time since I’ve found something worthy of screenshotting lol.

Thanks KJ! Glad some of this is useful for you. I have a schedule on page 40 if you are on the website and 20 on the app. I flip at about 600ppms but that is with GH nutes and feeding drain to waste.

I usually start the PK boost after they really shoot all the white hairs all over the place. It's about halfway through flower usually.

Funny story. I had written out on my phone this in your thread, "Lol, I bet all your seeds are going to germ and you are going to end up with too much". Just be patient.

Well guess what? I had a vendor come by at work and I put it in my pocket without hitting send. Then I come back today and you said 100%. So I went to your thread to say told you so and I didn't see it! That's when I pulled open my app and there it was... Anyways I'm glad they all popped for you because that will give you confidence in your germination process and that is what is the most important thing.

So there is more to this story. When I went to go check mine, 3 of 4 ended up perfectly. They had about a 1cm healthy white root and they were ready to go. My Anubis didn't cooperate. Just like you! I thought... how weird that we both did this on the same day and are having the same problem. So I thought, should I just give it a day or pop some seeds? I decided to give it a day and when I came back yesterday it had cracked open and a little white root barely coming out so I planted it. 3 of the 4 broke soil today but the Anubis hasn't. I'm hoping it will by tomorrow and I will call it day one for all the girls. Still 100% for me too!

Day 60 Flower Tent A - Day 34 Veg Tent B

Let's start out with the veg girls. 3 days ago they got their first major defoliation and first training by tying them horizontal to create my quadline. I would say they looked to respond really well and today they looked like this.

The Green Crack is a lot more compact than the other 3. It seemed to really like the defoliation so everything could have more room but it also has a bit of nute burn from the feeding. I didn't really lower the ppm after I did the major defoliation and that is likely the cause as it is smaller than the other 3. The other 3 seemed to handle it just fine. I always say that to people as a tip though, to lower the ppm a bit of the next feeding after defoliating, because the plant doesn't have as much material to absorb the current dosage of ppm. Then I didn't even take my own advice! Lol.

The other 3 are growing really well. The Blue Dream slowed down just a bit and the Super Iced Grapefruit is just kicking butt. It is even and growing like crazy. I think it'd going to be a big plant. So I trained them again and will continue to do so for the next 5-6 days. Then hopefully give them a break for a couple days and flip them on New Years as planned.

The Flower girls are beginning flushing today. They all have half cloudy and half clear trichs but I want to give them time for a good finish. I don't think I did this last time well enough and only did it for 5-6 days and I really want to flush them for at least 10 this time. They should be mostly cloudy with some amber in 10 days if experience serves me right.

The Lemon Venom had to be tied up. It was too lanky and the buds are too heavy for it. The smell has gone from super lemony to more skunky as it begins to finish.

I can never seem to get a great picture of the Cinderella99 but it is doing great. The buds below the main cola are so dense. This is what I imagine backbuilding does to all plants. This plant kind of backbuilt itself and I will for sure be doing backbuilding next round. No questions asked.

The ICE looks the most ready to be finished. The buds are nice and mature and should be really dense. It smells so good. That kind of piney/citrus smell. Yum.

The Jock Horror is so much shorter than all the others but the buds are starting to look incredible. It keep getting thicker and it might end up being just as good, if not better, than the ICE. I remember someone on here said that a bit back. Whoever you were, looks like you might be right after all!

That’s awesome - if I’m as close to your results in the end as I am in the beginning I’ll be happy!

I’m actually having a different issue now - my Royal Gorilla must have gotten oriented strangely below the coco, because what I thought was a cotyledon about to break through was actually part of the root. I decided to cover it with coco and give it more time to orient itself rather than trying anything riskier like fixing the orientation myself.

I've never had one do that before. I very carefully set my seeds with the small taproot facing down with tweezers though. And I barely put them more then 1/2" below the coco if that. It'll be interesting to see what happens to it! You've been on a rollercoaster to start but all I can say is be patient. We try to step in and control nature sometime but nature always has a way of working things out on her own.

Day 1 Seedling Tent

The babies were born on Christmas. Well I probably should call yesterday day 1 but the Anubis hadn't shown any green until today. Either way, today will be day 1 for this journal.

Merry Christmas to everyone!

Merry Christmas Ase! My Christmas babies won’t have a nice consistent 1V, so I likely won’t sweat the veg dates myself either. I’ll probably call tomorrow 1V if the Royal Gorilla comes up, which will be 5V for a couple of the seedlings.

Mixing nutes and feeding at this point is so quick - wish I had some plants in flower to make it more exciting!

Day 63 Flower Tent B - Day 37 Veg Tent A

I was a little nervous that the veg girls wouldn't be ready in time for the flip. Today will likely be my last training day and that should leave them about 5 more days where they are untouched and they can just grow. Unless the Green Crack gets a really nice stretch in, it will likely be smaller than the other 3. The other 3 are looking pretty good though. The spacing is really nice and I'm excited to get them under 12/12 on the New Year.

Super Iced Grapefruit back left, Blue Dream back right, Green Crack front left and Crown Royale front right.

One week left for the flower girls! This has been a pretty harmless and fun grow. I'm not sure what my numbers will be. I don't feel like I have a plant that stands out over the others like my Chemdawg did or White Rhino. They all are pretty even though and look the best out of any bud I've grown as a group in terms of quality. All of them are frosty and smell great.

Lemon Venom might be the one going an extra week. A lot of white hairs and the bud is dense but I think it could swell up more.

Ice has swelled up nicely and I think her and the Jack Horror will start fading soon in color.

Cinderella99 just keeps going. Each limb is starting to bow a little bit more each day as she packs on weight.

Jock Horror had a little bit more of a push and is now starting to finish swelling.

Looks great ase! Think I can see some purple highlights on the JH. Hope you had a great holidays .

I’m waiting to see how the Super Ice Grapefruit finishes

It's going to be great, I'm calling it now. I am so happy with that one. I have 9 more seeds but I'm cloning this round, now that I have that 2x4' tent going, and I know this girl is a strong one.
