Ase's Multi-Strain Quadlining In Coco

Good God on the flower room pics. Came in from the thunderstorms to see that. Holy shit do you have the touch.

I can't wait to show the colas off when they are done. They are gigantic. The yield has got me wondering if I will pull similar amounts to normal or not. Plants for sure are smaller than normal but if these things are as dense as I think they are then maybe the experiment of keeping the lights a little lower will prove to be worth it. It's just a waiting game for the finish at this point.

Ase, I am about to flip these so I would like to hear your thought on this.
They are 10 plants in 240x120 with 3x600w

However, I think I slightly over vegged them and it would be better to remove two of the plants but I want to hear your final say on it.

These 2 photos are with 8 plants

They won't get too much wider at this point. The only issues might be height. No harm in flipping them altogether and then removing two later if you feel like they just are going to be too small or you need the space. Basically once I am done with stretch, that's when I want to be 100% certain on what I am doing going forwards. It's when I prune off little branches that won't make it and do my last major defoliation. I'd give yourself until then to see what happens before making any decisions. You never know what the little ones might do in stretch.

Likely what will happen is you will flip them and the the two in the very middle won't keep up and you'll get rid of them but it never hurts to see if that's true before just assuming it and getting rid of them too early. Also a lot of times if plants are vegged longer, they don't stretch as much so you might have enough space after all. Since you have no colas yet you really can't have problems with mold and airflow like you might later on in flower.

I also might look into staggering plants a bit instead of having them in nice lines like you do. It won't look as neat but there is a chunk of dead space in the middle that might be able to be utilized a bit better so that you can keep 10 instead of 8.

Day 40 Veg Tent A - Day 63 Flower Tent B

The ATFs finally decided to start showing sex in the last couple days. Not all of them have but the 3 in the very back are 99% male. I am going to let them grow for a few more days to be certain. Of the other 5 I have only one of them showing female for sure. The other 4 are undecided but I will say that I do think they will all be female. Males tend to show their parts earlier and the growth coming out of the nodes on all of them is more oval like and less ball like. Hopefully by the weekend I will know for sure and I can get the scrog net on and the ladies in larger pots. It would be ideal to end up with 5 females. It'd make filling out the net a lot quicker than with 4. I also defoliated the next layer of leaves that I mentioned in my last update. I did that two days ago actually and haven't pulled anymore leaves since.

Flower girls got their flush yesterday with the FloraKleen. I left in a little molasses and cal-mag as well. From here on out it's going to be straight non ph'd water until I chop them.

Super Iced Grapefruit back left (colas starting to fall over a bit), Purple Envy front left, Chemdawg front right, White Rhino back right.

Day 67 Flower Tent B - Day 44 Veg Tent A

I will likely wake up early tomorrow and start taking down plants in the Flower Tent.

White Rhino - Chunky just like the first one I grew. I'm sure it will be dense like the first one as well and surprise me a bit on the yield but it is the smallest of the bunch.

Chemdawg - The smell is so good on this Chemdawg. Quite a bit more potent smelling than the first batch. The first Chemdawg was the best plant I ever grew and it was one of my top 3 favorite smokes. I'm really excited for this one. Not as big as the first time I grew it but it's going to be so good.

Purple Envy - Has the same deep grape smell to it that the first one did. This one is frostier than I remember the first one being. Going to be a good yielder.

Super Iced Grapefruit - The last time I grew this the smell of grapefruit kind of died at the end and then didn't smell that strong after curing. This time the grapefruit is still very strong. These colas all are slightly bigger than a standard water bottle. Expecting good things from this plant.

Veg Tent had some things move around today. I took all new clones of all 8 and put them in a humidity dome. These cuts were much larger than my first clones and I won't neglect them. I do think I will know most of the plants' sex before these even root and get flipped but I figured I do it for insurance. Who knows, maybe I'll keep the female clones going for another run.

Just passing through the garden! I hope you get 5:)

That would be wicked!

I'm just so used to feminized seeds that this waiting has me anxious. 5 would be great! I just keep telling myself that I am not on any sort of times table with this and just to let it happen. This round that I am taking down this weekend is going to be the best stuff I've grown and will keep my personal stash happy and full for a while.

Looking amazing ase. I think mine are gonna be a bit crowded so probably not gonna be as dense bud as yours. Next time ill follow your stripping routine etc. More diligantly. I just didnt wanna push my luck this go round and bite off more than I could chew.

Love the plant pics with the bud pics and the updates for each. That super iced grapefruit looks spectacular to me. They all do, but that chick’s sexy! I’ve been trying to put together a wish list of cultivars I’d like to try my hand at next and my list just keeps getting longer and longer. Lol. There are some classics I definitely want to try like the chemdog, super silver haze, and maybe green crack. But when it comes to some of the less mainstream strains I’m lost. I’m sure many of them are grand but I wouldn’t know where to start. There is one that has my curiosity peaked... Malawi x Panama from Ace seeds. Anyone ever tried that one? Also, thinking of ordering through Seedsman. Any thoughts in either direction on those strains or that supplier?

I’ve heard good things about Seedsman. I actually have a Panama seed from Ace seeds that was one of my first purchases. Still haven’t grown it.

I’ve had good results from Gorilla seeds, Bonza seeds, Crop king seeds and directly from Nirvana seeds. Currently my favorite lines of seeds are from Feminised seed co, Humboldt seed co and Nirvana. I’ve had pretty consistent results with all three of them. Truthfully I haven’t paid for seeds in a while but all those seed banks came through with their prize packs in a timely fashion. I haven’t ever had a package get delayed, confiscated or even mispicked in my entirety of growing so I consider myself lucky. I think I’m sitting on somewhere between 150-200 feminized seeds so I don’t see having to buy seeds for a decade.

You’re results speak volumes for the genetics that can be obtained through those companies. I just want to be confident at the beginning of my next grow that if I flub it up that it’s on me and it’s something that I can fix. I know there’s no guarantee but increasing my odds at getting ahold of good genetics is a sound place to start. Lol.
