Arteekay's Second Grow - Autos & Feminized - Mixed Strains

Alright, onward with some catch up posts. Here's the rest of Friday the 16th, and Saturday as well.

First up is our clones, a few days into their solo cups. All 6 made it.

Couple of family shots including our next two oldest autos, our second Sweet Seeds Red Poison and our third CKS Northern Lights (first since our first six, so first we actually know what we're doing at all)

Last shot of LS2 before she got harvested the next day

Our newest girl is our first Crop King Seeds New York City Diesel auto, Jaybiz's pick:

Up next is the end of our Lemon Skunk auto harvest:

We hung 3.2 lbs right beside her sister from the day before, with quite a bit of stem. We really didn't expect to get 20% of that, yet once we jarred her we were shocked to come very close. Three days later we jarred up an even 280 grams, to our complete amazement.

Edit: Forgot to include Biz's pics.

Here's what we have left growin'

I'm gonna wait, sit here and listen to music for a few and hit you with rep points again for yet another spectacular harvest. And look what's coming up behind!!! :thedoubletake:

Drat! I'll have to wait.

:laughtwo: Great work guys. Better than great. Stellar!!! :high-five:

:high-five:

Well deserved though Susan. You'a be takin care of us folk over here ya know!

:passitleft:

**This cheese is the shit**

:passitleft: Thanks Pigeons. Haven't grown one to harvest yet. Started one once, but it had to come down without notice. Someday though.......

One more. :passitleft:

It was enough to make me apprehensive, just seems like so much all at once. As I think you know, we were averaging around 5 ounces per plant, so getting a quarter pound more off two was unexpected. Can't help but think the move into the new space contributed. :)

:high-five:

:passitleft:

Very very very AWESOME!!!!! Those look so damn nice RTK. Need that scratch n sniff app for those buds because we wanna enjoy them with you :thumb:

Very Blessed Buds :circle-of-love:

The Quarter Pounder is fruity, the Lemon Skunk a bit scary. You get a pretty good idea what you're in for once ya get a whiff of 'er.

But I have to disagree my friend. We need a scratch and smoke app, fuck the sniffing! :)

Sept 18 - 21

So apparently I got real lazy after we harvested our two record setters.

Not only that, but I managed to switch the tags for our third Dark Devil and second Train Wreck. Ignore the tags in the pics until we get to this past weekend, when I finally realized why TW2 looked so terrible and why DD3 looked nothing like any other DD we'd grown or seen.

DD3, looking like crap:

TW2, much better:

Our third Northern Lights auto:

Our first White Widow and POW 33 photoperiods, less than a week after flipping:

Quarter Pounder harvest from the Friday before:

WW and POW 33 again, a few days later:

Our second Red Poison, no color change this time. We don't have the cool nights worked out yet in the new space, if our third Dark Devil also comes out colorless, we'll have more evidence we need to get that back.

Probably the last photo of all six clones together. We threw four away and transplanted our favorite of each strain from above. Gotta say, I'm liking this cloning thing Brother Shiggs!

Stop a second...... :hug::hug::hug:

:passitleft:

OK, back to the job at hand then. :kisstwo:

I've got to work in an hour, for a couple hours, so only got time for a quick . Well, for Sweet Sue I make time.

Hey that LS2 is quite the harvest. I bet it was like a freshly wiped table with lemon pledge. +reps!
A suggestion for the labels. I fold duct tape over the edge and staple it. That way I make sure to label before the transplant. And the label stays with the pot. I look back and forth between the small pot and the big pot and make sure they read the same.

We always guess before we start harvesting, just to see how good/bad our eyeball estimates are. I guessed 5, JayBiz 6 I think. Once we hit 7 on the scale I started to feel just a bit more giggy than the sampler alone could explain.

I screwed up the two autos label right from germination. In fact I fought Biz for a good couple minutes that I was absolutely sure which one was which. What's funny is how long it took us to realize why both of them looked out of spec for the strain they were supposed to be. Once our 85 day Train Wreck started flowering at 25 days, I knew something was up. Thankfully we'll be able to figure out if she's going to give us the usual color show pretty quickly here.

I'm missing the pretty colored weed, our Red Poison is straight up green.

Beautiful plant - not a speck of purple on her.

My GAWD she is gorgeous! I'm so sorry to have missed her so far. Love Love Love the training!

Wait till ya see what ours looks like, No so pretty for sure... Ah well, can't win 'em all.

Wow, just about caught up. This is from last Sunday and Monday, Sept 25 and 26.

Looks like I was right, we've no more pictures of all the clones together. Sunday two were selected and transplanted:

The parents of those two clones, just shy of two weeks since flipping:

Family shots from Sunday:

Our first CKS NYC Diesel auto, using a piece of wire to straighten her out:

Our terrible looking third Dark Devil auto:

Our Second Red Poison, with about 10 days or something left.

Our third CKS Northern Lights auto (first since we gained any experience). She started very small, so small I took off the lowest branch on each side and left only two main branches on each side. She seems to have caught up well:

Our second Train Wreck auto, freshly tied down:

Only took a few family shots from Monday:

Potted up clones that look golden from the get-go and some unexpected challenges. Never a dull moment, eh? You're almost done with the catch-up! :high-five: It's a shame about the DDA. Hopefully she's salvageable. It's a bust having a Red Poison that decided not to be red, isn't it? It's making up in bulk what it sacrificed in color. What a beautiful plant nonetheless.

It's so good to have you back.

Transplanted clones!!!! I am so damn proud of you guys. Now you can play the long term relationship game! Reps! (Reps later it won't let me do it lol.)

It was really about space. Keep in mind we're about at a year from when we first started discussing setting up a tiny little cabinet grow, one or two plants only. Now that we're at a full room, it really just makes sense to at least keep one vegging until we know what we've actually got.

I'm pretty shocked all six clones took, we abused the crap outta them.

DDA looks like nitrogen claw.

Also is there foam under the wood? Wood will be too much of a conductor without it come winter. But how nice is it having a room??

She started to take on a weird velvety texture very early, probably within a week of germination, and we still hadn't given her anything yet when these photos were taken. Once those leaves got big enough they just kinda collapsed into an upside down taco shell shape, before the claw started to appear at the ends. I'm calling it a bad seed and not taking her personally. :)

The wood is actually 6 insulated dricore panels. We had four from under the other tent, so we just added two more. We learned our lesson the hard way and will never repeat that mistake.

Love love love the room. We've got new a new 6 inch filter and fan to replace our existing year old 4 inch going in this weekend. I didn't source that filter you recommended yet, just didn't find the time so we'll look at it once this one starts stinking. Another busy day of reconfiguration.

I caught up on your journal enough last night to see that your reconfigurations are getting pretty freakin' serious! Light Addict has a worthy challenger I think...

Yup, all of a sudden I can't grow colored weed anymore. We'll spare no expense to fix that! :)

Thanks for sticking around during my absence. ya right back darlin'!

Here's the pics I have from Wednesday, September 28th update.

Our second Train Wreck auto

Our third Dark Devil, still looking like crap

Our two photos, White Widow and POW 33

Our second Red Poison, about 6 days left and not a hit of purple or red on her

Our third Northern Lights, with nearly three weeks left

The Clones:

Our first NYC Diesel auto:

One more family shot, without the three young ones apparently

I knew going to a room was going to give you the space to start side projects. Cloning is going to change the game! Veg plants need much less light so now you will be able to revisit certain plants on demand. Right now new plants are making me a bit crazy as every grow is an unknown for me too! But soon I will have a big library and think "what do I need to regrow for next round? What jars are getting empty??!!"

Plus you can cull a poorly performing plant and replace it with another. I always have a few extra in veg I can upcan and flower. They compete at every stage of growth for the coveted flowering room spots. Because Veg takes less energy and work having a surplus there is almost like skipping the seedling stage. It's like starting plants when ready to flower in a way. Growing from clones is like having a super auto. You take a plant from veg and poof it goes right into flower. I have clear under bed storage boxes. You can keep plants in 16oz pots for quite some time and 9 plants will fit in 1 sq ft! I just cut mine back like a hedge.

ShiggityFlip,

I purchased some cloning supplies before I started my current grow, but the "timing" was never right to take clones (ie. I was a bit nervous about doing it...this being just my 2nd grow).

I was interested in what you were saying about how you maintain/store your clones, do you have any pics of your setup?
