Anyone else own a 90w UFO?

And if so,, whats your Experience with em ?? And your thoughts on how they worked or didnt work for Veg and Bloom ?? Just curious here,, I think a little different than most People I guess,, I was always taught that the closer you could mimic or TRY too mimic the Sun,, the better the Plant would thrive in ALL aspects.. So wouldnt using different types of Lights and Bulbs in a Grow that we KNOW are beneficial to Plants for whatever Stage or Cycle theyre in,, just be THAT much MORE beneficial to them ??
My Point here being,, is I run 4 different types of Lighting in my Tents,, CFL,, MH,, HPS,, and now the UFO LED Lights as well.. And to be honest,, this is pretty much my first Hydro Grow,, and 6 Days ago,, I knew Jack Sh!t about Hydro,, so Im learning more everyday myself.. And Credit where Credit is due,, EVERYTHING Ive learned about in the last 6 Days has been from here,, Mr.PitViper,, Mr.Roseman,, Mr.IrishBoy,, and Mr.H***ady just to name a few,, have taught me an AMAZING amount of Tips and Trickz !!

Veg only ?? .. They swore up and down that the UFO was Beneficial in Veg and Bloom,, but even MORE so to the Bloom/Flowering Cycle.. ?? BUT,, It does seem to vary between the Manufacturers of the actual UFO Style Light itself,, Ive seen MANY different Companies making them.. Hmm.. .. Well,, Thanks for the Info. my Friend.. !!

I think that Im headin up to the Hydro Store tomorrow to pick up some Floralicious and FloraNova Bloom to add to the GH 3 part Im using now,, seems like some of the BEST Hydro Growers around are using it !! .. :)

Well, here's a li'l good news for ya Reddawg.

I've used them to veg.
They work quite well for that in my experience.

Have not personally tried to flower with them, but that's because I have a 150W. homebrew light that works very well for flowering.

I sold one to, and then bought another one for, a fellow medical user who has no computer access.

They were $ 250. Chinese knock-offs, 2 bands, and I plugged one into my KWH meter and found the actual consumption to be ~65 Watts! That's with the 3 fans running!

In spite of that, he has, and is, growing large, tight, buds with them!
His very first grow was impressive.:grinjoint:
Set him up with some G13-Blueberry clones in coco.
The UFO s built him some above average sized buds.
Gotta admit, I was surprised.
And his on-going grow is looking even sweeter!

The bad news?
He's now growing some "HI Homie III" seeds that I bred specificaly for growing indoors, under LEDs, so his results are prolly not typical.

dont mix the 3 part with Floranova.
That lamp will bloom but you wont be happy with it....but thats just my opinion.

Alright,, What (if any) Blooming Booster do you use yourself ?? Or what would you suggest for me to use ??
And the UFO is only 1 out of the 3 Lamps,, also have the 100w MH and 150w HPS all in the same Blooming Tent.. I also have a 400w HPS up in the Attic that I havent brought down,, Not sure how the Temps will be IF I TRY to put it in such a small Tent ?? Hmm.. ..

I use molasses...1oz (30 ml) per gallon in hydro and soil.
 
I use the 2 UFO 90's and have great success. I have 8 Mazar plants and they are all budding from top to bottom with thick buds. I don't understand why everyone says not to flower with them.

I have two ufo 90 watt leds and they were great for vegging, and i also used them in conjuction with a 400 watt hps, and had great results. But all of a sudden only 1/2 of the leds light up, on both lights. Sucks to be me !! But yes, you'll like what they do in veg., but they're not a stand alone bloom light !! From what i've seen and read, you need at least 300 watts of led, to have any success blooming!! And the 600 that Irish is useing, is awsome !!

The 2 UFO's are all the Lighting you have ?? And you used them for both Veg and Bloom ?? .. Thats AWESOME !! Your not the first one that has said that.. Im starting to think that some Manufacturers are rippin people off and sellin em junk.. Hmm.. ..

Thank You for the Information !! And sorry to hear about your Issues with your LED's,, That SUCKS !! .. I have a 400w HPS as well,, (havent gotten out of the Attic yet,, but bought a new Bulb for it just in case),, BUT,, with my Set-Up being in such small Tents,, I REALLY have to be careful.. Although I did run Central Heating and Air Conditioning into the Area just to be safe.. LoL.. ..

RedDawg, All I have used is the 90 LED UFO's. I use them in a cabinet. All my plants have vegged and flowered with the LED's. Right now I am at day 70 of flowering and my indica plants have buds from bottom to top. I have beautiful white trichs on the leaves. I also follow Pit Vipers nute program.

That is AWESOME !! .. Ive heard LOTS of Folkz sayin both sides,, some say theyre GREAT for Blooming and Veg'n,, and some say theyre only good for Veg'n and not Blooming.. ( Which is kind of why Im using all THREE of the BEST Lighting Fixtures for BOTH Cycles of our wonderful Plants Life,, The Metal Halide,, The High Pressure Sodium,, and The LED's,,..,, THINKIN of addin some CFL's TOO !! LOL ).. With future Grows down the Road after this One,, Im going to do a bit more Research and Trials with a bunch of different Lighting combinations.. ..

I'll never go back to HID or CFL. I get more weight with the UFO b/c I dont have any heat stress. When you cannot punch a hole through your wall to vent a 400w hps, temps can get up to 95deg and stress plants way more than you think.

Thank You for stopping by and your Input.. !! .. Not sure if your aware or not,, Ms.FireQueen has actually given me the Heads' Up on your L.E.D.'s,, and they definately look like Good Rigs' !! I'm in the Process of Testing an L.E.D. UFO along with a few other Light's,, Product's and Idea's,, to see which,, or who,, is the BEST.. I have'nt personally had the chance to try one of Your Lights' obviously,, but I would not be against it.. I'd like to see how your's comparitively "Stand's Up".. ..


I know from past Personal Experience,, that for me,, different Lighting Combination's and Spectrum's in Conjunction and Addition to Other's work the BEST,, Bar NONE !! And with that thought,, different Companies' Equipment varie's as I'm sure your well aware.. ..


I'll definately keep you in Mind my Friend,, Ms.FireQueen had me interested from the Beginning.. Prop's to the young Lady and Yourself.. .. :)

RedDawg, I've been stessen here for a few days now lookin at all the various leds out there they all say there's is the best !? I've seen 120 Watt UFOs from anywheres of 150-350 ? And the ones builder has (144 Watt) is almost 400 ! There are a few grow journels here using 90s that look great so who to believe ! I was told for 4-6 plants in a 4x4 tent I'd need two 288 watt lights at almost a grand !! I'm getting a headache here !! And after spending the last 1/2 hour trying to hook up my 400 hps with a 6" flex for venting I'm getting ready to just flip a coin a get rid of this freakin monster of a light ! Whats an ol hippy to do !??
 
Keep in touch RedDawg maybe will figure this shit out together !! I need something cool for my tent , wanna buy a 400 watt hps ?? :peace:

I usually just read and if i don't agree or believe what i'm reading, just turn the page, but what you're saying is a proven false statement. There's no way a 90 watt led is gonna keep up with a 400 watt hid, or even a 150 watt hid. That's the facts !!
