Read, research, read some more, and research some more. Not only read here but other web sites, both Cannabis and growing & gardening in general.
Take a few notes and include where you found the info. Even in this computer age it can sometimes seem to be impossible to go back and find the same article again.
And do not fall into the trap of thinking that you will remember when you did important things. I am a firm believer in making a note when I planted a seed and when that same seed sprouted above the soil. Even though you remember planting the unknown seeds can you tell us the exact date?
After a couple of grows you will be able to tell if a plant is growing fast and ahead of schedule or whether it is falling behind with just basic note taking. Many of us will be taking a look at our plants several times a day when we first start trying to grow them. Before long one day runs into the next and it seems like 2 weeks have gone by but checking the notes we find out it has only been 4 or 5days. It has happened to me and others have mentioned that it happened to them.
These are pics of some unknown seeds that I planted a couple of months ago. I would love any feedback.
Looks like two photos of the same female plant and two of the same male plant. Most likely the male will be mature enough to start releasing pollen in a week so it is close to time to get rid of it.
I noticed the same thing about the amounts of soil in the pots that
@Bill284 brings up. Pretty much everything the plant needs and does except photosynthesis will be taking place below ground. Give those roots as much soil as possible because they will need it as a source of water and nutrients.
The two plants look 'lanky' and I am thinking that they were/are not getting enough decent light, either from sunlight or from artificial lighting. With good lighting and some experience you will realize that after a couple of months those plants should be two or three times as tall and about 5 times as filled out with stems and leaves as they are right now.
I figure that they started flowering when they did because they became sexually mature but they were not getting enough light and the lights were not on for as many hours as they should have been. If they had been seeds from an auto-flower then they should have started flowering at about 4 to 5 weeks no matter what. But, if the seeds were from a photo-period plant then about 2 months of slow grow makes sense.
