I lived in Greece for a year, or was stationed there. And they might, the government may not manage money well. But one thing they do there that I love, and it's done well, is conscription. Every man or female is required to serve the military after completion of high school.

Think about that in this country. So say your a pacifist and don't want to be in the military...I'm fine with that. Those people spend two years working for the country. Helping the elderly and homeless. Feeding the poor. Teaching the uneducated. Making this country a better place.

Then, they go to college or,, or go to greater things,, it would spark so much. They would graduate on time ready to hit the ground running..... They would be focused, patriotic,.and hopefully humble.

I think all vets who served in combat should have free homes and pay no taxes. Imaging what an already thankful and patriotic group would do with their free time. With the energy created by feeling loved by your country.

Such a small number of folks relatively speaking,, instead of funding,,, terrorists,, we could fund our combat vets.

A lot of people talk the talk, but they never walk it. Our vets have. I'm pretty sure I've found my calling and I'm pleased to do what I can to help a brother or sister. Nice talking with ya bro. This Memorial Day weekend think of those who gave it all, so we can talk.... I need to get walking. Left, riiiight, left.....

Just went through your updated pics, it looks like you have Big Bud. The strain I'm having trouble with is Greenhouse Seeds Big Bang, which I nicknamed Big Bitch, since she's been a pain in the ass since the start.

I gave Big Bitch another flush today. Plain tap water, followed by a little feeding of 6.5 water/nutes.

That plant is an absolute jerk.

EDIT: Oh, and total height on Cotton Candy is 16" today, so not as tall as I thought, at my 17" estimation.

Thanks Cruizer and Subnoise. It's the one thing I feel like I can do well enough to be proud of, at least on most grows, is my LST. I'm really happy how well Cotton Candy turned out, and I'm somewhat satisfied with the training on SB #1 in flower, and SB #2 in Veg. They were difficult to manage, having been taken as cuttings late in flower, but I'm really curious to see what they'll yield at the end. I'm also curious to see if the shorter Veg time has any effect on the overall potency. The harvest from the mother plant is really quite potent.

Thanks bro, much appreciated. One of the biggest reasons I'm keeping her is that I just hate failure, and hate to admit defeat. So I just have to finish a grow with BB, just to feel like I won. And she's also the only Indica I have going now, and I'm getting low on my Indica supply lol. I certainly hope she's at the very least a good smoke to make it worth the trouble.

Day 11 Flower for CC and SB#1

I decided to start flowering SB#2, so she's in the flower closet now.
Tomorrow, 5/28 will be Day 1 of 12/12 for SB#2. She will be receiving approximately 15 hours of light today since I'm switching her after lights on, as I do with all my plants.

CC on the left, SB#1 on the right, and SB#2 in the rear center. I'm going to let SB#2 adjust a few days, then make some changes with LST and Defol to ensure they're not crowding each other for light.

Ok about to get out of hot tub. Tent should be arriving shortly. Today I'll be setting up tent for my Leds when they arrive.

That's great man,, I'm looking forward to following that grow for you too. I've read that LEDs will usually produce more trichomes, but with smaller heads, where HID produces fewer trichomes, but larger heads. If you can combine the two, you might end up with a real high potency plant.

I like my LEDs, and the training this time around looks promising on CC, I have a ton of close budsites on her branches, so hopefully that'll mean I end up with some better colas.

And she's drinking like a fish. 6 days and she's almost bone dry. I've never had a plant drink that much. But it could be the new nutes too..

It's been 3 days since my last update, so lets do it again.

Cotton Candy is great. Day 12 of flower (seems like so much longer) One lower, older primary leaf looks like a Phosphorous def, but just one leaf. So no fucks will be given at this time. Stretch seems to be over, as she's still coming in at 16" tall. She only had about a week and a half of stretch and only gained about 4-5" of height during that time. No sign of P def on stems. Seems to be a heavy feeder, as her pot is getting light again. She's currently on a 6 day feeding schedule.

Just a branch shot:

I went back through my journal to check on rooting of the clones. SB #1 and #2 both showed roots on 4/13.

SB#1 Was Vegged 33 days. So just shy of 5 weeks. This is Day 12 of flower. She's doing pretty well, nothing exciting, and nothing to be concerned over. I didn't check the stems for the red stripes that I've been seeing with this strain, so I'll check on that another time.

SB#2 was Vegged 52 days, right about 7.5 weeks. Today is her first day of flower. She grew a lot slower than her sister, which could have been due to how I cut the clones, and which cuttings I used. I know I cut the tops off of some (never intended on cloning them).
I'm going to be curious to see how her yield compares to SB#1, with such different plant sizes, different pot sizes (6-7gal vs 1gal), and different Veg times.

No real updates on Big Bitch today. I'm going to take her to the kitchen and flush the living shit out of her. I'm honestly getting tired of the issues she keeps showing, which again, more burned leaves are appearing after the last flush I gave her. So I'm thinking maybe there's a ton of nutes left somewhere in the medium or something. So basically my plan is to flush her, until the PH reads what I want, which is in the neighborhood of 6.5. I never actually tested the runoff before, so I'll be doing that today as well.

And if this doesn't work, and I don't see immediate improvements, I'll be strongly considering giving up and flowering her as is to make room for plants that actually want to grow.

Big Bitch update, since I just did a ton of flushing.

Tap water flush.

Tap water PH read 7.4. Initial runoff came out at 6.1.

So then we flushed a shitload, measuring PH in between each cycle.
Runoff absolutely wouldn't read any higher than 6.5. Once I got 6.5, I flushed, eh maybe another 10 times, probably a total of 4-5 gallons of water (1 gal pot). And runoff continues coming out at 6.5. So I ended the flushing.

Pot was allowed to completely drain of all runoff. Nothing extra dripping out. I ran some nutes through her, which came up at 6.3 when measured (was 6.5 when mixed.. seems I need to mix a little better when using PH down granules, but that's a different story).
Anyways I ran 5 small bathroom size solo cups through her. Runoff each time came up 6.4 and 6.5. So my job here is done.

If she decides to be an asshole again, she gets flowered as is, and end of story.

Here she is after the flush, throwing another temper tantrum.
