Another Brix In The Wall Part 2: Hawk Clones Under Max Yield!

Thanks guys! Krip, this 12 hours consecutive you're talking about, is that if they were in flower? They are not, they are young seedlings and clones. Ideally I would simply delay lights on today until the same time as other tents and if I do that, lights will be on for 16 hours.

That's correct! :thumb:

For flowering plants, don't give them more than 12 hours of consecutive light and for vegging plants, don't give them more than 8 hours of consecutive dark. ;)

If the delay is only 20-30 minutes, you'll be fine either way since the above are not "hard/fast" numbers and one day of a slightly "off" schedule shouldn't mess anything up.

Excellent, thanks Krip! So what if it's more like 40 minutes?
You'll be fine! :)

It takes time to get those veg auxins switched to flower (or vice versa). An extra hour of light or dark for a day usually isn't enough to do it. It would need to have enough extra time for the plant to start thinking "hey, did the season just change?" and would need to get that signal over multiple days for those auxins to really revert. That being said, if every few days you were changing the signals from veg to flower and back, it would stress the plant and you'd increase the risk of hermie.

Thanks Gov! I'll pull all my heaters and instead heat the room the tents are in.

Next dilemma question. One of my tents, the 4x4 with seedlings and clones, the timer got changed at some point but guessing it was when I first put plants in because they all look great, no issues! The problem is lights go on about 30 or 40 minutes before my other 2 tents so that is really going to throw off my plans to run perpetual.

Is there a way to move the lights on timer up a little at a time so it's the same as the other 2 tents without messing up my plants? Or should I just suck it up and leave lights on time the same for this set of plants?

Cheers!:passitleft:
Move your timer when your lights are on and you're fine if you're moving it backwards. That way your day is shortened instead of extended for that one day. If you're moving it forwards, do it when the lights are off.

hehe...never did like Corona,,,if they come out with a Pacifico virus, I'm fooked...to be honest, I'm a lil freaked...still no notification on when we might get out, and when we do, what are we travelling into!!??...more cases in Canada than here, and I have a few strikes against me, so that plays on my mind...but...I'm trying to make the most of llwhat time we have left...spent the morning packing up our bins we leave here...went to a new restaurant for lunch, then a beach walk to kinda chill...the vibe is still pretty positive for the most part, we plan on going out tomorrow with a few friends, but at least a couple have declined...I'll totally relax when I'm at home and after 2 weeks, I'm symptom free. then get things rockin' for the shed...Take Care Ya'll...cheerz... :high-five: ...h00k...:Namaste:

Oh man, I didn't even think about how you'd want to get home but I get it. Still, you might be better off riding it out for a bit there. I'd imagine travelling in over crowded airports would be pretty risky. I hope you make it home as soon as possible and that you can enjoy the rest of your time there! :ganjamon:

Sheesh h00k, I just happened to notice that you've been a member since 2010. :cheesygrinsmiley: Some of you guys have been around forever! I thought I was an oldtimer.

Any idea how long before a flight opens up?

hehe...yeah been around for a bit...went awol for a while, but came back with a passion...23'rd is when the rescue flights are supposed to start, so we just have to wait for some notification...I'm thinking getting back to to Canada is the first step. then getting home is the next, with our airline cutting domestic flights by 50% could be some serious wait time...just gotta play the hand we're dealt, and hope for the win...cheerz... :high-five:...h00k...:Namaste:

My wife is flying to Texas today. I am sooooo anxious about it. Her father in-law is in hospice and her Mom has nobody so she's gotta go. I hate the idea, but I'm not even getting out of the car to walk her in at the airport (her idea, I'm ok with it). It's weird though. Even on 3-day notice, she got a round trip flight for $112. It's a $400 flight most times with at least a 2-week advance purchase...but I'd feel better if she didn't have to go.

I hope your situation gets resolved soon and satisfactorily hook.

I realize this is risky but I got a couple Wi-Fi plugs, each has 2 sockets which can be manually turned on/of in the app or put on timer. So far I was just using to turn AC and dehumidifier on/off but I'm going forward with using 1 for the timer for my seedling/clone tent. In the event of a power outage, I think I'm better off because when power goes back on I will not need to adjust timer, it will retain timer settings I think. I'll test my theory with the AC unit by unplugging it for a couple hours. I'm really digging these plugs though and I got a couple cameras from the same maker so access all in 1 app.

Wish me luck. Duggan, go easy on me, I know your not gonna approve, ha!
