Amy Gardner's First Journal - Outdoor - Critical Cure & Chaos In The Forest

My Delicatessen Lilly (Congo (squared) x Queen Mother) is about 85% Sativa and harvested at 54 and 68 days from 11/13 flip indoors. The speed of flowering comes from the Queen Mother side which is about 95% Sativa.

Queen Mother (95% Sativa) claims a flowering of 60 days, and an outdoor finish of late september (presumably Late March down under) - I tend to believe it.

Any Queen Mother cross should add Sativa effects with Indica finishing speed

If you wanted a fast flowering CBD Sativa, there is one listed as Super CBDx - SCBDx(Probably Cannatonic) x Queen Mother by breeder named Super CBDx ---- so I am inclined to believe it was a homegrown cross of Cannatonic and Queen Mother.
Cannatonic is your basic 65-70 day finish, so that cross should be good.

- - -

The only one I have personally experienced is My Delicatessen Lilly - but Queen Mother is to Spain like White Widow is to Amsterdam, the spanish love that strain :) Lilly was the first strain where the family went 'now that's some strong smoke.' I have a couple since then that hit heavier, but they are also long finishers, like the 93 day Guawi :)

High Amy,

I don't have a journal yet. I've been scouring journals gleaning little nuggets here and there. I like to help out where I can. I also like to read journals of outdoor grows. Plants are beautiful! Last year I got one over 8 ft.

Regarding fast flowering Sativa - I searched the seedfinder site, and found a few flowering at 60 days. Few selections, and I only buy a small number of seeds for a summers grow. This year I got some carnival seeds based on SweetSue's experience with the strain. I'm hoping it will mature before budrot season comes. Should be a nice grow.

I'm curious about your disease process. I haven't recognized the symptoms. Tell me I'm out of bounds if you don't want to discuss it. I'm interested in how cannabis heals (brings homeostasis) to our bodies. How it helps our bodies to heal ourselves. Almost caught up with your journal. Thanks for sharing.

I have a few rounds growing Carnival indoors - 55 days after flip - If it foxtails, 70 days after the flip.
My grow that ended 2 weeks ago was the longest carnival for me, 77 days for 82 grams off an 18" high indoor plant.

SOG001 just pulled 9 oz. I consider Carnival a pretty high yielding plant.

Everyone likes Carnival - your cheeks tend to hurt from grinning.:)
Great party time weed :theband::theband::theband::circle-of-love::cheer::bongrip:

There's a carnival thread over here ===> CArnival Community Grow

Thanks! Yes I’ve been eyeing that Carnival that happens across the forum! Have lurked in that community grow a little bit for the eye candy, and because Carnival interests me as something to grow. I hadn’t noticed the shorter flowering time - that makes it a strong candidate. Cheek hurtin’ high is just the kind I like. :theband: (The Professor Chaos I have in now has shown promise of this, likely it’ll be no match for Carnival though)

Carnival gets moved up the list a few notches...

I liked the look of that Queen Mother too - read about it earlier today. Sounds like a nice spiritual high.

There’s room in my cupboard store for both I’m certain :yummy:

Nice thanks - 8’ would be awesome. I’ve deliberately claimed the corner in our vege enclosure because it has about an 8’ ceiling - and done so with Sativas in mind!

I can already envision looking up from my little sitting spot near them at some towering colas :rollit:
When’s your season? I’ll be watching that grow for sure - or demanding that you share some images on whatever thread I have going on then :smokin2:

Ooooo, I'm curious too Amy. HIGH Bode!
Thanks both - it’s not out of bounds to ask. I might have to get back to you on it though - bit knackered right now. I will say briefly that on the question of homeostasis and the capacity of cannabis to facilitate ones body and systems to achieve it, well, I’m still in the very nascent learning stages about that. @SweetSue would be one of my main touchstones on the subject. I haven’t discussed it much with her, it’s just been a theme in her work on the forums here and there’s one thread in particular that goes into some depth, but I can’t remember it quite now. Also, very briefly (it always cracks me up when I say briefly and then go on to give quite a long description or explanation!) I have a condition called ME (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis), which is commonly and almost criminally called Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Actually fatigue is only part of the picture - it’s a potentially massively debilitating neuro-immune/neuro-inflammatory condition that very little is known about (because research into it has been terribly under funded). It can affect people at levels from very mild to fully severely bedridden (since about 20 months ago, I oscillate between moderate to severe - thankfully more toward the moderate side 80% of the time). I will share more about it another time - I’m in the very early stages of working out treating with cannabis, but that journey has been driven by the recognition that whenever i decided to stop being ‘good’ and just get high already, i felt better in so many ways... and my younger years as a pot head made a lot of sense (as we’ve realised I have had ME at mild to moderate levels and relapsing remitting most of my adult life). If you’re interested to know more about it there’s good and accessible resources at websites MEAction, and Phoenix Rising and an awesome recently released doco called Unrest (avail on Netflix or iTunes), and recently a quite good article in Ms Magazine. Wow, I ended up writing more than I intended (no surprises there!).
Right now... time for an afternoon vape of Critical+CBD :volcano-smiley:

Was about to say happy Friday night, but I’m almost a day ahead of most of you. Well I’ll say it now in advance! Happy Friday night!! :ganjamon:

:Namaste:

Thank you for your honesty, Amy,

First, let me say you have a very delightful journal. Nice flow, very entertaining (with local bug pics, lol), informative, down to earth! Such an enjoyable read.
While I was reading, I tried to have your perspective (vain imaginings) as you presented your reports. One thing I noticed, you have a nice reward system for a nice pick-me-up when life gets so difficult. You seem to enjoy growing cannabis, talking about your grow and relating to all us fine friends, and using photography in those pursuits. They would be a very nice reward for going through the periods of bedrest, or rest in general. I would imagine it's a fine balance between excitedly getting things done, and overdoing too much. I hope you will continue to improve, and be able to enjoy more of what God has put for us on this earth!
Question - If more cannabis seems to make you feel better, why not do more cannabis? Is there a delicate balance there also?
I will read up on Myalgic Encephalomyelitis to understand more. Sending "feel better wishes" your way!

Yesterday evening everyone got a foliar feed with the seaweed and casuarina tea mix. I'm happy to have made a new batch of Lactobacillus serum so some (very small amount) of that was included too (20:1 dilution). This weekend soil drenches will be done incorporating some of this as well - to fortify the microherd!

This is the best batch I've made (it's my second)! Oh where has my swazi MerryAnna gone!

Here it is during stage 2 looking awesomely shapely

And the final product - so much more beautiful than my forst batch. I added sugar the first time for room temp storage, but it went very 'beer'y smelling and I didn't like that so much. So this time, no sugar and it goes in the fridge. (And next time I’ll get pic when I drain it off - the curd was an entire universe itself!)

Thats quite the interesting stuff you have there Amy.

Wanted to go organic, but seemed to much work to get the soil just right. That and being in snow for 7-8 months a year doesn't help either. Oh well will just have to do my best with Nutes haha

Keep up the great work

High there fox! Welcome to my journal :welcome:

YEp, snow would kill an outdoor garden fo sure. Organic ain’t that hard though. Folks make out that it is, but I just don’t get that. My soil mix wasn’t very complex at all. I checked lots of recipes and did what I could afford and manage at the time (and I definitely didn’t get to as close to ‘right’ as I might’ve wanted - and it’s still working well regardless). I also have seaweed readily available and that helps a lot. ANd then there’s the option of going with @Doc Bud ’s HBB kit which would be (is I’m pretty sure) cheaper than most options, fully organic and with a complete program to follow. Very easy and cheap way to grow absolutely superb produce. Have you considered giving it a go? (I’ve seen you about on a couple of the Brixer’s threads - so you know the eye candy I speak of!)

It’s awesome growing outside under the sun - but comes with total lack of control of any environmental conditions! FOr example, it’s now been raining fairly steadily for nearly 48hrs. I’m more than a little tense... trying to relax but geez i’m ready for it to stop now! I’m going to have to do a bit to replaenish the girl in the pot methinks! I mean - the rain is beautiful, and the girls all absolutely love it - it’s just been about 4x as much as i would’ve ideally liked!

Have an awesome day sly! :thumb: And everyone!:rollit:

I’ll get another update out on Wednesday I reckon, if the rain stops and lets me take pics!!

:Namaste:

Just wanted to drop this here in case anyone wanders by:

From @420 about current gallery and image loading issues:
Any issues having to do with the gallery should be put on hold until the thumbnails for all of the photos finishes rebuilding. It's been processing for the last 4.20 days and still ongoing. We are hoping that is the reason for the slow page loads, however cannot be 420% sure, until it stops. Then we can start trouble shooting elsewhere, but if we try now, it could disrupt the rebuild and then weed have to start all over again. This is a time we can all come together and practice patience and remember, good things come to those who wait. :Namaste:

I did a big update to celebrate the new site launch back on page 16 (maybe an ill-conceived plan in hindsight!) - so that wouldn’t have been viewable to most (if anyone). Hopefully by the time the next update comes around you’l get easier visual access to my beauties!!

:Namaste:

I love how the people that run this site seem like silly stoners too.. :rollit: I enjoy your long posts on organics amy.. cant wait to learn more about them with ya! :high-five:

Thanks toasty! :high-five:And welcome :welcome: - have you popped in here before? (If you have I’m sorry if I’ve forgotten)

I’m absolutely a total newbie myself so this who;e journal is me learning (as will they all be now I expect... once you start, it never stops hey!?). But re organics, there was never going to be any scope for anything else in my garden, so it wasn’t like a decision I had to make or anything...

Phew - we’ve had 95ml of rain over tha last 36hrs. All the tanks have been overflowing since yesterday (need bigger tanks!). That’s plenty thanks!!:smokin2:

And actually, I think Rob and his team are pretty efficient. Sounds like they had more than a few issues wth bad developers (on the previous app) and then a webmaster abandon them. They’re working their asses off getting it all sorted for us! I’m an efficient stoner too. When we had a business i did the monthly accounts (in MYOB software) and it was my ritual to roll a fat one before I sat down to do them. They always balanced to the cent - indeed if I didn’t have my joint, the accounts wouldn’t go so smoothly after all! SOme people get more efficient on pot, so when I hear ‘stoner’ - i tend to think, potentially that’s some one who is relaxed and gets lots of things done!
:rollit:

The whole forum site got considerably faster in the last few hours.

Apparently image optimisation is done and the whole media backend has the resources it needs to deliver each others’ content to us all! A week after a premature (and emergency induced) birth and pretty much off the life-support - that’s pretty good going I reckon.

This means that my mega update from last week is very viewable :cheer:
So for anyone who happens to drop by... it’s here: Amy Gardner's First Journal - Outdoor - Critical Cure & Chaos In The Forest
(or just back one page ;))

There’s still kinks and minor bugs being sorted on the site, any problems go here and ask your questions
Brand New Forums & Gallery

I’ll post another update tomorrow - I have some lovely pics already (and some nice surprises), just need to go through them (delete, edit, etc.) Till then, stay medicated in any and every way that suits you.

:Namaste:
