Love those closeup shots of the DDA - very bright and clean-looking buds!DDA: up close and personal
inflorescences, yummy...I am a word nerd.technically ‘inflorescences’, which is just a great word.
that is outstanding, many thanks.....Here's a good infographic I found with these parts listed:
I think I can get it to some sort of harvest. Little bit of stress test.what are going to do?
That’s one confused bunny! Commiserations my friend - not on the plant, it will likely figure itself out, but on the promise it’s now lost.look at that top
a plant I accidentally re-vegged
Just some quick snaps of the Sour Bubba to share today.
Any brixers here have a take on that - Cat drenches before stretch has stopped?
The source would be Doc Buds, but clueless as to the recipeOh no! Been there. Done that. Do you think you will allow it to fully re-veg or fix the light schedule and usher her back into flower ASAP?
Lovely stacking on those colas!
A bit embarrassed to ask this now after I've seen the term floating around so much. Can someone point me to the source of the Brix "recipe"?
It's not a methodology that can be explained in a paragraph or two, but I'm gonna try. It's based on work of William Albrecht, who came up with a very peculiar soil concept. In a nutshell potassium and phosphorus are brought to minimum and nitrogen is only slightly higher. Then soil is mineralised with calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, boron etc. in the right proportion. The soil has to have the right CEC, right C:N ratio and the right level of organic matter too.
There's no spraying with sugars here, plant is stimulated to produce a lot of sugars instead, which can be measured by using a refractometer at home or tissue analysis in a lab. You'd have to take something that resembles a course to be able to prepare "high brix soil" yourself... which is why @Doc Bud came up with the kit, that allows to use the method without having all the "arcane knowledge". But he got banned together with a whole bunch of kit users recently and I doubt he'll be coming back.
I tried to explain how to prepare the soil from a scratch to organic and hydro growers, but they struggle with soil analysis, terminology and getting the ratios right. You need serious research and studies before you grasp the concept, which is why I've been usually sending people to Doc's thread, which is now closed. But you can still google him up if you're interested in trying the kit.
Any brixers here have a take on that - Cat drenches before stretch has stopped? It seems like I shouldn’t, to my mind but I’d be happy to hear thoughts from others’.
And actually some sativas go on stretching forever so they must get cat drenched while that’s happening ... maybe I just will.
2g/day is a very nice return.A hair under an ounce. Pretty happy with that from 8 weeks of not much effort at all and 2.5gal of living soil
#goalsI’m going to be asleep pretty soon!
Great find HG, thanks! Are we all going to have to say bracts and stigmas now? No one will know what the heck we're talking about. Here's a good infographic I found with these parts listed:
I have been finding that after tranplant (scheduled or rescue), soaking the pot doesn't last as long as expected. The rootball in the middle uses up all the central water but doesn't have the new growth to take any moisture from the new soil, so though the pot seems heavy and wet, the center is dry and the plant looks wilty. I have taken to an in between watering of just where the original rootball is.This NL isn’t doing badly, but it hasn’t exactly been firing on all cylinders. I also know it hasn’t really filled the pot with its roots (because of the remediating late transplant), another factor to consider.
Under the seaIKR! I love it

Looking forward to those whenever you get a chance to post them!DDA is harvested - I got some lovely harvest photos and am currently too smashed energy-wise to do the rest of the process with them yet. You’ll see them eventually.
.
It’s nearly ready for another drink/drench. I’ve been thinking of hitting it with the Cationic drenches now but the overnight stretch means it’s not quite set flowers yet. I could still give them. Some folks do it at first sign of frost, I’ve heard. But right now I’m leaning towards a Growth.
That may change. I’m flighty!

I will try to do a more full-some update soon!
Be safe everyone and stay medicated if you need it!
I had’t considered that measurement, thanks! It’s good to know that it‘s good ’value’. It seems a friendly one for me and I have a few more seeds I’ve not had another one that’s quietened my mind quite the way it does. I hope that continues as it cures.very nice return.
i did realise my watering had been under par - in the airpot as well I think.in between watering of just where the original rootball is.
I’m pretty sure i got that message psychically todayif you're tired of the stretch, it might be a good time to find out how an early cat drench goes.
That one too.don't recall any of the early guys say that they regretted it.
The stars are aligning >I'd do the cat drenches now.
I’m liking that logic. Exactly - looking at it today i thought “yep - that’s plenty tall, so why wouldn’t i?”If it doesn't do that, I don't know why you would wait until after stretch.
I’m doing it 1st thing lights-on, in 9hrslooks like a convenient time to find out.
that too. I’m to sleep now, goodnight#goals
Never know, maybe it will reflower and be huge!
