Alienpus's DWC, Indoor, HPS: Kripple Shock, Incredible Bulk & Ice Cream, 2014

So today I figured out how to use the macro on my camera, I really like it, I'm old and need glasses, it goes better then using my jewelers loupe to look at trics. Now I can see why this strain makes nice hash. These are HPS, they say LED gives more trics. I am anxious to see how the LED ones will look.

Yes that is frosty indeed, I go this digital microscope from china works good for reading circuit boards or looking at leaves and finding mite eggs god forbid there is any. Pretty much saw all the gross stuff I need to see with that thing.

Now some LED vs HPS, The plants under the LED are ready for harvest and have pretty much stopped growing. The ones under the HPS are still going, some of the lower buds are finishing up though. I have no Idea why, but it has to be the light as all other factors are the same. Larger colas aside the HPS buds are pretty much double the LED and I don't see a bigger concentration of trics.

Since the LED puts out less growth, had I flowered the plants larger I might have obtained better results. I will be sending the LED offsite to another grow for another side by side but this time the lights will be isolated but still on the same reservoir and same environment just no light contamination.

The pictures suck but are enough to get the point, Anyway this is the tip of an LED plant:

This is an HPS,

Back to the Krippling strains, I had to put them aside for a while, so I put them under 18/6 CFL's to slow growth to a crawl, just put them in the box under the 430's and will place them in the DWC soon. Going to take a few clones as I prune, should flower these in around 10 days.

Gonna have to paint that plywood I replaced, I just keep forgetting.

Done with the hard part, making all the holes and finding a place for everything, still missing some indicator lights for the front panel though. All that's left is to do take it apart and wire it up, for me that's the fun part.

The electronics are, 2 6v dosing pumps, 2 speed controls, 2 12v timer relays, 2 6v power supply, 12v power supply.

The unit will control the DWC circulating pumps also and will not start them up again if PH is out of a preset range to protect against overdosing, it also controls a reservoir mixing pump.

This part I'm building attaches to the controller and will be wall mounted, I think I might paint it blue.

Few days later and the kripplings have started to take off, I haven't pruned them yet as I wanted to take a few clones. The sickly plant A in the center is not part of this batch, but sickly plant 1 is. I upped the nutes 150ppm, they are all Indica dominant except one little girl, looks like a completely different strain got slipped in.
