hi mate, hows the reveg going, you should start to notice the tips of new leaves growing out of the buds pretty soon, they will look like thick green little leaf tips, these will start to curl then you will have some strange leaf growth for a week or 2, but the first signs of it starting to reveg is lots of single blade leaves growing out of the buds, usually start with claw like leaves curling out the tops and sides of the buds, im pretty sure i did see this in the last pic you posted, the little green leaves that are growing out the buds will form these single bladed reveg leaves,
@Spimp, i always kept my cfls within 2 inches of my plants, i was running over 400 actual watt with cfls, all mine was 23 watt which are the best lumin to watt ratio and i used 30 watt cfls, i kept my plants very close, but i guess your space is pretty enclosed so not much air inside the grow space is moving around, but i had nearly 20 cfls in my grow cupboard but it was 3ft by 3ft or their abouts, i had lights above the plants and down the sides and all was within 2 inches maybe 3 at the most, but if you dont have much room inside the grow space then i guess temps could rise, but if you was using a hps in a confined space like that then the plant would be cooked unless door was left wide open,
you want to try and make sure their is plenty of air inside the grow space so if the area is to small then you wont have much air moving around so the hot air wont be rising upwards as quick, i think you had fans running though but one option would be to have fans blowing upwards into the tops of the plants so its forcing the warm air from the cfls upwards instead of it sitting at canopy level,
the best option would be to mount a temp gauge at the same height as the canopy and see what the temps are their, the only time ive seen growers have problems with cfls burning plants is when they use 200watt(actual watt)cfls, these do need to be further away from the plants, i use cfls now to start seedlings/clones and reveg plants, my cfls are no more than an inch away to 2 inches at the very most, any further than that and the stems on seedlings tend to stretch, so i keep the lights as close as possible, in my small veg cupboard i have no fans, i only use 4 cfls but all are within 2 inches at the most from the tops of the plants.
