Alaskey Purplish RDWC

no not at all i wasn't aware of that until I bought it or I might of not gotten it. it's spot on so far.
Thats wild.
The Hanna is super easy to calibrate. The solution comes in a packet you just place the probe in the packet and wait a second for it to normalize. It does pH and solids at the same time.

Thanks for talking about the calibration on the Blue Lab. This is good to know. Ive been recommending them for quite a while. Any idea how much a new probe is? I assume thats the only way to bring in TDS?

the reason i went with the blue lab is i have a BL ph pen and its great. the TDS probe is not replaceable the ph probe is replaceable not sure of the price. now when calibrateing you have to have the tds probe in the ph solotion with the ph probe for the temperature compensation I thought it was odd to for a good quality meter not to be able to calibrated. I have only seen that before on those cheap zon pens. i do check it every time I calibrate. the one step calibration for the hanna sounds nice.

There isn’t a lot to go wrong with tds (conductivity) pens. All they are is two electrodes. If scale built up on the electrodes, or if they corroded, would be the only way for them to get out of wack

Even my Milwaukee probe can be calibrated, and it does move over time. When the correction needed is greater than the machine can adjust you need to buy a new probe.

If Smokey accidentally dried his out he would need a whole new machine

Yeah, im starting to like it more and more!

I am pretty sure the the tds probe comes dry I am going by memory but i just looked in the box only a cover for the ph is in there. so i am sure it came dry they only mention cleaning the probe.
There wasn't a cap for it with a tiny sponge? Maybe Blue lab does it differently.
