Is that the skateboard you rode?

Close to it?

That’s too bad you can’t get out and feel the rush of that wave pushing you along anymore! There isn’t much now a days that makes a person feel “free” anymore, but that’s about as close as it gets! Being one with the natural wave, pushing you along, feeling the air between your hair, with the sun barreling down on your shoulders... damn I need to get to the coast and learn how to surf. Being in Alberta, I don’t see the ocean all that much. I’ve also tried surfing behind a wake boarding boat. As soon as I let go of the rope, I ended up falling. Just couldn’t get the feel of “riding that wave”. Maybe next time I’ll get it!!

The pool crashing phase was out by the time I was into skateboarding. Street skateboarding was big when I was young. I would bugger off in the morning to skateboard, by the end of the day, I was all over the entire city, skateboarding on ever single stair/rail/gap we could find. I got older and they built a skatepark in my city, then made a bylaw where it was illegal to skate anywhere but the skate park. I guess I ruined that for the generations after me lol.

You have a great story Amy! I would love to sit down and hear all the stories that lays within your wisdom. :passitleft:

I’m not calling you this, but we used to always call roller bladers, fruit booters. :laughtwo: I’m not going to lie, roller blades have got me around from time to time, but I’m glad you always went back to a skateboard. Once they built the skate park in my city, it was practically my second home.:thumb:

Check out vans walking shoe line. I’ve never tried them but vans are generally a really comfy shoe, the walking shoe, must be good!! I just googled it, and they look great!

Nah, you won’t kill your self. Maybe break an arm on the skate, and maybe get knocked out by the surf board. There’s always a chance of being bitten by a shark, but that chance isn’t very high :laughtwo:

You named off some legends Al! That’s impressive! :high-five:

I'll check it out. Haven't been happy with my shoes in a loooooonnnng time.

The plants are recovering nicely and it's great to see pistils popping! And while my son tolerates me in Asics, he wouldn't let me out of the house in New Balance ;).

:D

They are looking better. Now if I can just keep the temps down a few more days.

**note to self - keep all footwear out of journal pictures.**

People are watching and judging. :D

We have at least one member with a foot-fetish, so mind the tootsies as well ;).

Is Tarantino on here? :D

Yooo i just laughed out loud!:laugh::rofl:

As did I.

Thats funny. My son learned very early on that unless he was buying me clothes, he had ZERO input into what I wore. And he also learned early not to let me know that he was embarrassed by my attire... because I would make that my whole objective.

Quick lunch pic of the flower tent.

I am impressed with their resilience.

Yes! Almost exactly :D Mine didn’t have the crisscross pattern, was just a mottled surface and the wheels were the same colour as the deck. But that’s the exact shape :thumb:

Being one with the natural wave, pushing you along,
 :surf: nothing like it... 2 different directions at once... amazing feeling. The drone footage we get these days captures the dual sense of movement really well.

I want to thank you all for making @Alafornia and @Tangled journal such a freaking blast.

To have their beautiful plant, updates is just the cherry on top!!:cheer:

That’s awesome! :yahoo:

They really started to revolutionize the skate board in the early to mid 80’s. Giving them the concave, thinner board in the street and thicker boards in vert. With the lifted nose.

It changed the sport forever! And is now considered an Olympic event. It will be in the 2020 olympics!! :yahoo:

Yeah no kidding! Technology sure has changed eh? (Look me at I’m so Canadian :ciao:)

It’s changed a lot compared to the 90’s. I couldn’t imagine what it would be like to see the difference from now to back in the decade most of you all grew up in. I say it that way, because I imagine their could be a few different answers there.

I am impressed with their resilience.

They really are, resilient little things aren’t they!!?

Although yours, aren’t all that little!:adore:

Umm.. actually, it’s a shoe fetish!

Hahaha jokes aside, I’ve been waiting patiently for my time to pounce on commenting about the shoes. Just recently before posting it, I saw a hilarious post on Instagram, and I was sweating bullets, heart was pounding through my chest. My mouth was salivating like I was looking at a piece of fried chicken. Great anxiety was running through my body in such anticipation of jumping on said opportunity. I pull the trigger!

#worthit! :cheesygrinsmiley:

Hey ya Mr. A those beautiful close ups show those lovely pistals.
In a few weeks those lovely ladies will be showing off their trichomes.
Carly Simon is singing in the background. And for those that remember, this isn't a Heinz Ketchup commercial were waiting on...Anticipation

They look good from where I’m sitting.

BTW, anyone with a shoe fetish might or might not enjoy the NB’s tonight.

Next we have OG Kush CBD. Few problems other than what I made. Just very steady. Grew at her own pace.

Next is my Pride and Joy, Nikita. That seemed a fitting name for a White Russian strain plant. Torn between her and Westley for that title but since these are plants I’ll go with both. Nikita is just strong as can be while Westley was mostly dead.

These are all Nikita. See below for Westley.

Orange Sherbet has seemed a little finicky to me. She has been resilient to my screw ups though. The tall one is the one I snapped.

Finally, we have Northern Lights. She’s been strong and hardy from the start. She and MH1 have given me the fewest problems until I covered her with neem and put her under the lights too early in a hot tent. Not bad. Even The sky would be crying if calamity came to this girl.
