I got a kick out of the fact that they are all hanging upside down! That and the frost of course :).

They are getting heavy in there and MH1 is spindly anyway.

I've had to cut back this grow on light wattage (245 per instead of 315) due to climate control overhead (part of the reason BB didn't produce more than she did). I hope I can get that sorted out soon, but getting a good heating/ac guy here is like finding hen's teeth or hunting snipe. I think I'll have better luck (maybe, I hope) getting an electrician to come split the wiring to separate breakers.

The US HOR voted to deschedule cannabis. It's a good start. Maybe it'll get done soon.

So I got really tired of spending over an hour grinding bud for oil caps each time and bought a Cuisinart SG-10 Electric Spice-and-Nut Grinder that holds 90 grams to do the job more quickly and with less effort. I might try it out here in the next couple of weeks.

I'll probably harvest MH1 today. Since Alabama and LSU kick off round 5 PM local time I'll be able to harvest and water without interruption.

I'm working on getting better climate control in the garage in the next few weeks. This will also solve the electrical problems in there and I'll be able to go back to 315 watts each on both lights (at 245 watts each now) in the flower tent and adjust the wattage in the veg tent to the max tolerable as well. Since I know yield is suffering this will be great. This will also allow us to turn the garage into an art and music studio for @Tangled and myself.

Two things come to mind: first is why do you need to grind your buds for capsule oil? Is it to fit more bud in the jar with the oil (as opposed to the MB2 which grinds for you)? Second thing is when I use the grinder for bud, I coat the blade and container with a little bit of olive oil. It makes it so I can drag my finger along the edge and get off any trichomes that would have stuck to the sides.

How did it go?

Sounds like a great project with an excellent return!

I grind it so it will sink down in the oil better. I did not know of the MB2 before. Thank you for the pro tip on the olive oil coating.

It went fairly well. I have three bags in the fridge, but it's mostly stems. lol I figure an ounce, give or take a few grams (leave it to an American to mix measurement systems). See the next post for pics.

Waiting for the quote now. I think it will be very much worth it.

Forgot to post pics from the harvest of MH1 two days ago.

How long did you drought it before harvest? Must have made trimming a breeze!

(Don't miss my post above. :))

Trimming wasn't too hard. I didn't really drought it so much as the leaves just turned (if that's what you mean). I've been watering them 2 days a week (because that's about all I could devote). They are still in the older soil mix before I added the biochar, rice hulls, oyster shell powder, and more perlite.
