Ak47 x Lowryder #2 First Grow

Re: Ak47 x Lowryder#2 First Grow

Alright another question for all of you pro's here. We are looking at a 5 year old 8,000 btu air conditioner. It turns out that air conditioners are dehumidifiers so we got two birds with one stone. The question is though, is that going to make my power bill sky rocket?

It all depends on the power rating

Re: Ak47 x Lowryder#2 First Grow

Has anyone come across a quiet active carbon filter+fan, Sound is a big concern of mine. I am using a closet that is connected by wall to a neighbors closet. I would think they would be under the impression that a I have a closet there as well. however, I dont want them to think Operation budlins is going down.

You will see the difference for sure. How much depends on rating like stated.

I am betting if you locate or mount that fan anywhere near a common wall they will hear it. Hang it with bungee cords so it doesn't transfer vibration noise to any surface.

Re: Ak47 x Lowryder#2 First Grow

Just purchased some blue planet 3 step and some black and white poly. This stuff is addicting.

Good seeds but bag seeds. This is our test run while we still patiently wait for our Ak47 x Lowryder#2(Auto).

Test run with the bag seed. Some of the babies look great while others look like they have shriveled leaves. I'm guessing they will spring up just fine later on in the grow.

Re: Ak47 x Lowryder#2 First Grow

We finally received our Easy Ryder in the mail :). So we started germinating them in 100% cotton balls in the dark next to a light that produces some heat. Our test run of the bag seeds are looking great so far.

Alright Everyone we have got a little treat for you. Upon enjoying some herb we decided a fake wall would be really stealthy. We thought and thought and then thought some more. Eventually we constructed this.

Rooms beginning.

Re: Ak47 x Lowryder#2 First Grow

We germinated the Easy Ryders and planted them in Foxfarm ocean forest soil with 10% added perlite last night. We ended up with 6 of our bag seed plants which are looking good for day 10. We are keeping all the plants on 20 hours of light to 4 hours of dark the whole cycle until our Easy Ryders are done. Then we will be putting the bag seed in 12/12 after the 65 to 75 days when the Easy Ryders are done while starting 10 more good seeds in veg.

Re: Ak47 x Lowryder#2 First Grow

dude can you come build me a fake wall? haha daang that is stealth man .

also in one of the pictures i see a ventilation register of some sort. You could try to vent out thought that, as long as you have a carbon filter you shouldnt have a problem with the smell, even if it is being blowing back into your apartment or what ever you live in

Yeah that's what I am trying to do. I installed two venting ducts. One on the top for hot air exchange with the carbon filter. One on the bottom to exchange cold air with the apartment. The entire inside of the room is wrapped with b&w poly. Air tight.

Re: Ak47 x Lowryder#2 First Grow

I have a question about the ventilation. The plan is to run the Carbon filter up top with an inline fan. On the fake wall there is a register in the top left corner as well as the bottom right. The carbon filter will be attached to the high register. I was wondering though, do i need to get another inline fan to bring in the cooler air or will a cheaper smaller fan suffice.

Re: Ak47 x Lowryder#2 First Grow

Great looking fake wall you got there. Very James Bong! For the ventilation intake you can add in another a/c vent grill like the one you have already at the bottom that can be passive. When the intake exhaust pulls air out from the room, passive air will come in through the bottom vent will work great. Since it is a small space no need for the second intake fan. Unless, you're running 600w HID...
