hello and welcome abord the thing is if you use larger size lights like a 600 or a 1000 watt light you have to keep the lights further from the plants and then you start to lose lumes.I can keep my 400 watt lamp's closer with less loss of lummes an exhuast for the hood is a must.that being said i welcome you and glad you have found a home
