African Sun And Indoor Gardening: Pushing My Own Boundaries

Gooood Morning all.
You may have noticed that this thread has been moved to Grow journals in progress.
Thanks to @Smeegol for the idea and to Moderators for moving the thread over.
So i am going to continue with the update on the plants growing in the tiny greenhouse.
I did re-pot two of my plants. I also ran out of potting soil which was bought at a local store and supplied by one of our better nurseries.
I obtained some 5l plastic growing bags from our local nursery along with some compost and a product called " Pro - Gro "
I re-potted 3 green peppers which were taking strain. Their roots had filled the existing pots. So it was time.
I also re-potted one of the blueberries and The Budha cheese from my vegging fridge.
The one Blueberry seedling that has just surfaced, ( three to four days young ) I planted in it's first home.
All of these plants are now in the greenhouse, although I am considering putting little "Gertie" into the veg fridge for a while as our daylight hours are getting shorter and two of the other blueberries are showing some girl hairs. Going into flower.

Some pics of the re-potting.

When I can get my wife out to the greenhouse I will get some close up pics of the blueberries that are turning. We are both sipping our first cuppa and she is wiping sleep from the eyes.

Hey hey morning brother beautiful update and congrats on the move to journals now you going to be on fire...haha
I'm def like the looks of your blueberrie I think they are going to be stout plants as they grow, are you going to let them go natural or train them abit..?

I don't think your Buddha cheese in flower has 3-4 weeks left I'm thinking you probably going to go close to 6weeks still to go because those buds are only starting to fill out nicely now..

If you check out my Shiva indica dominant in my outside journal she's been going close 7 weeks now and I reckon another 3-4 unless she starts turning quicker than I anticipate.
Have a look at Shiva 2 she's next in line flower wise and looks similiar to yours in development and I'm guesstimating another 6 weeks on her so we can prob compare side by side see how they go timeline wise......

Have a great day brother, I can't make out the co.za on that bag of soil you got, would you mind snapping a pic so I can google it, be interesting to check it out..... :snowboating::slide:

Hi Smeegs. Maybe you're right about the Bhudda.
I did mention earlier that I was not going to train as my light time is running out for a big grow on the blueberries. Just as well as they are turning now already.

Here is a pic of the Pro-gro bag. This is a supplement for the soil and is extremely rich.
I don't know if you can get it up your way.

No we don't get this side, only thing we get is gromor which sucks, I can order stuff I want like freedom farms or such through my local farmers co-op but they charge an extra R60 on top of the freedom farms so I normally stick with good old Kraal manure I compost for the outdoor girls with bonemeal and kelp powder and bits n pieces....
Stoner brain as I you did mention no training...haha

@Smeegol I am posting off those pondo seeds today. will give details later when i get back.
Off to town now to put in a cutting list for my next job, post seeds and get some more potting soil.
:cool::peace:

No probs brother thank you most kindly, I almost died laughing in Mica now as I was looking for that green plant wire for the outdoor girls, so while I was looking young Indian lad walks up a
To see if he can help so I asked about some plant food and he recommended using Guanasol as he's busy using at home, so I jokingly said I heard said its good for cannabis and the guy starts chuckling so I looked at him and said busted.....:rofl::rofl:

He's been using it in a sort of hydro set up he tried to explain to me so I said he must take a pic or 2 as I'd like to see how it's doing and his Swazi girl is in flower and looking good so I bought a bottle to supplement the girls outdoor..... Catch you later....

Morning @Smeegol , couldn't sleep.
In my neck of the woods it happens often. Folks around here seem to be busy with their own stuff and it comes up in conversation from time to time.
I must see if I can get my hands on some Guanasol here.

So a little update on The Blueberries that have started to flower.
I noticed these hairs on Two and Three

Morning brother, I only got to bed after 12 as couldn't sleep, don't smoke sativa after 9pm...haha
The girls are looking healthy and happy, now the fun starts with the pistils popping out..

I used to have my nephews foot on me but that was because he thought it was funny using me as a jumping castle when he was younge....lmpo bruises for day....haha
That Buddha cheese what a lovely strain, I've had 2 diff batches grown by the same guy and the 1st brought me to my knees it was so yummy then I don't know what the hell he did with the second batch but I wouldn't go near it with a barge pole...lol
He royally missed the mark on this last grow, he's been at it for 20 years but his practices leave me wondering how much of that was growing or moving cannabis as I cry when I see what's happened to his girls, hes only 8 years older than I am but he's def more of the old school generation in regards to growing..

Have a wonderful day brother and don't get to wet if there's rain as it looks like we in for more of natures goodness today..... :snowboating:

Morning. :nomo: I have some more B cheese seeds but not femmed so I got 50% on this grow.
I am suspecting that this supplier to my daughter was growing Auto's as these plants are flowering quite fast. So far the only one not showing sex is One but me thinks it will show in the next couple of days.
You would think with experience on one's side one would make every grow count. Kak happens I suppose.
The rain has stopped temporarily. I have a little sunshine. My plants are going to be happy with that for now. My house is a mud patch from the dogs so today is wash and clean day.
I did not get potting soil yesterday. Missed the store. I will get today and work on topping up Two and
re-potting my plants in the fridge. I have no idea what strain they are as they came from seeds grown on the old farm. I am running out of space here. Lol

I'm itching to drop some seeds but with winter approaching and days getting shorter it's a good reason to hold off for a while.....hahaha who am I kidding.....lol
But space is the problem as I'm using all the space I've got and keep thinking how I can maximize on space outside come spring....
I'm considering starting the outdoor girls in August this year get an early start on the veg growth also to throw some abuse at them and make the stem and branching thick and sturdy.....

Morning Smeegs. I know how you feel. I don't have space but I just can't resist putting some seeds in.
Plus it looks like at least one of my clones has taken in my veg fridge. It was just an experiment to see if the method would work. I potted them both but one is looking bad and smelled a bit bad. will post a pic later.
I hope to get some cupboard material home today and have my son in PE looking at some lighting options. So then i can carry on with the indoor gardening part of this thread.
Are you feeling better Bro?

Morning brother I am on top of the world.....lol, there's sunshine forecast for the next cpl of days so that quagmire of a garden can start drying up and I can get back to feeding the girls and pump bud production...lol. I've done cloning twice now and I found even the funky looking/smelling clones pull through if they have a fighting chance.
Was actually looking at the Candyland yesterday and thinking of pulling a cpl clones but don't have the space at the moment anywhere to put them once roots arrive and I have to pot them.

I actually lived in PE for 5 years before I moved overseas, stayed in central at the top of brick makers kloofwhere I shared a flat with my brother then moved to Walmer, lovely city but windy as all hell...lol

I think cheese strains are going to take over South Africa as had 2 guys call asking if I want some cheese bud to try.....

Hope that coffees kicked in brother, let me know what lights you are looking at...

Hope you don't mind me popping off in here Strain. Came in by a slow boat then Smeegs piggybacked me in from the bush. Here now. Riveted

Glad to have you. I hope you understand some SA slang as Smeegs does go off a bit sometimes. Lol.
:nomo:

Plants in my fridge

I did get the boards from the kitchen I pulled out and started cutting. i ran out of light outside so they are standing in my lounge now.
I am starting another kitchen installation tomorrow so will get to grow cupboards over the weekend most likely.
Boards cut for a small vegging unit
1746520

And the other boards for a flowering cupboard or two
1746521

I will discuss the lighting options as soon as I get my info together. At present it's cutting lists and hardware for the next kitchen.
:eye-roll:

I have no idea what the cat is looking at. ?????

Only just saw the cat....hahaha its stripes blended in with the pic above as I was scrolling down and caught the word cat now only

Evening mr.Strain the clones are looking good, snip the burnt bits of the weakling as she's feeding off herself while making roots and I can't think burnt bits would be helping...??
Watching n waiting to see your grow cupboards, are you going to be doing a step by step, might be of interest to any new comers.....

Thanks Smeegs. will snip it now.

It may be a good idea. These are the first cupboards i am doing so perhaps there will be some good advice from everyone along the way.
