Re-potting always makes me nervous no matter how many times I've done it in the past, but the plants almost always (even with notoriously sensitive species) seem to love having untapped root space to explore.

Yes. At least we know what we are putting into our plants and flush when we need to etc. Some of this stuff comes through what i would term dodgy dealers so you never know what could be affecting the seeds or the smoke. In my area tons of guys and ladies have little grows going on. mostly outdoor.

Myself and my brother are the only guys that really grow and take care as you say we know what we putting and take pride in our growing... I do have 1 or 2 mates that grow but they the toss it in the ground and see what grows kinda growers but each to their own..
I travel bout 2 hours each way to when I go purchase flowers as that's the closet guy to me so apart from growing for meds the cash outlay to get it kinda puts a person off....haha
My brother took quite a hefty knock this season, all his females are seeded ( missed a male, caught it too late sadly ) and he had some real beauty's but such is life.... Going to process that meds as most of my family use some form of canna....

Yip. missing a man plant can be devastating sometimes. On the bright side one could get some interesting crosses but it's obviously better when planned.
Travelling 2 hours to buy weed is like crazy. you have to be pretty desperate to take on a trip like that.

It's still a no no to sell here in SA. the law has changed. ( Still in the process. Government has 2 years from November 2018 to amend the law )
A grey area time is in existence. Police have a " at our own discretion, at that moment policy. "
4-5 plants allowed and something like 30 grams allowed for private use at home only.
Just hope they like you and move on to bug the real drug dealers who are exploiting the poor and hanging people of their own creation. Lacing the buds and waiting for folks to get hooked on the additive so they can make more money from the heavy stuff.

Girls are looking great, brain! Good amount of growth in just a few days. I let my girls get pretty rootbound before up potting. I use an organic soil, Doc Bud’s High Brix Blend. Not sure if that makes a difference. But I let them get good and rootbound then I pull them out and cut each side of the rootball with a razor blade. Then in the big pot. Then explosion!!!! Lol. Here’s a rootball of mine the day I up potted.
She was pretty droopy and I couldn’t make her happy in the small pot. She took off after a few days in the new pot.

Yeh. I'll see how it goes by the weekend. They are all drying out now. All except The Cheese which is drinking a lot. About every day and a half more feeding and/or water.

What a day! took a cabinet apart, cut it down re-assembled it and had to do some more trimming and fitting as the new basin had an odd slant to it. Got it done and moved on to the next one. At least that was smooth sailing.
Got back at 6:30pm in the middle of a raging thunderstorm. We even had some hail. on the coast it's rare.
No damage to greenhouse or plants. Whew!!!
The light wasn't enough for update pics but plant are all looking GR8.
So now I will wander around 420 and catch up on the day's proceedings.

I'm pretty sure there will be some interesting seeds out of that lot as there of cracking strains but it's the cheese plant that I want the seeds from....
Don't know if you do social media back here at home but the guys who are pushing the envelope are being raided in the last week or 2, but then others are coasting on the radar quietly...
I'm sure you've heard of " Cannapax " " Russel De Beer " south Africa's white traditional healer...?
The men in blue are 50/50 in regards to cannabis, some are for it and some are just plain twatwaffles in their dealings to us growers.. A chap from your side of the coast was raided on Tuesday, lost 90% of his plants and his strain collection, he's only got back 2 of his big plants that were in pots but lost the ones in the ground.... Luckily he's getting his equipment back....

To day was beastly hot brother, got some rumblings and flashes of lightning this evening but the rains far off holding thumbs it swings over town tonight..
I've been fearing hail this season but touch wood I only lost a branch or two so far, been busy getting shade cloth over the garden today so hopefully by tomorrow she'll be done....
Have you thought of supplanting the greenhouse with light in the evenings for a cpl hours to extend the Girls grow time or is not possible mr.Brain..?

The Men in blue are conmefusicated Smeegs. Too many loopholes and if they don't like you for some reason they can still make twakkie.
I have a friend, a detective, who told me in September last year I should apply for a licence, but I don't have enough experience in medical strains and at this stage prefer under the radar.
We shall see how this all play's out.
I just can't help myself ( as the rain begins to pour down on my roof ) I love to see the beautiful plant grow.

Licenses are expensive to the mere mortal cheers to our Goverment but agree I happier under the radar than on it..... It's just started drizzling so I going to go roll one and sit outside....

I saw the pic of the shade cloth bro. That's a really nice space you have there.
I don't want to have extra light on at night as they sometimes have breakdowns with pumps to tunnels and come out to fix stuff.
Naw. I have all the good excuses to get my grow cupboards up and running.
Have about five guys in the area who will take a grow cupboard and then I will supply seedlings. soil mixes, nutes, lights etc. They get to keep a quarter of the yield. So it pays them to have good yields.
That's the idea anyway. Just got to find time to make them things. Work is pouring in at the moment and I do it all myself as I can't let people mess up my standards. Gets to much sometimes.
So no extra light outside and bring grows inside for winter short days.

I only have the Pondoland seeds. I have to screen them and would gladly send you some but I need to do a grow first. I have hundreds of seeds. many are green. i haven't had a chance to go through and select good ones yet.

I won't lie I have a thing for grow cupboard/boxes as there's a challenge to growing in them, I have a 1.2wide/2m high and 0.5 deep that I started in last winter using 300w of CFLs which worked out ok..lol
But more using it for seedling or clones now, but I saw a pine box arrive with solar panels in for my ol mans one job and already planning on nicking it once it's empty, you cant have too many places to grow in....haha
I'm doing something similiar with a mate who cant help himself when it comes to seeds....haha, so I get clones of those he wants me to run and we go halves on the harvest which suits me just fine, the more I get to sample or grow the merrier the gollum family is.....lol
That would be mighty kind of you, I'm busy with some auto projects coming up if you keen for some, they will be f1s so you can do a big of hunting with them as they are regs so you can make your own project. Have a bunch of hybrid seeds from another mate who missed a male or 2 in his grow op last year if you interested.
It's a cross of white widow X Cali o X white rhino X super lemon haze so there will be a few stunners coming out of those, have a cpl in the garden see what they like...
