Yes I'm using one now in 4000k and an hps 150 next to it over 1, 5gal triple diesle my buds are frosty and beautiful my only mistake was I had the lights a little to close you just cant beat the hlg lights I would use your hps also if you want that's what I'm doing and she loves it my other 2 girls have there own box leds they look awesome but the 4000k/hps side looks the best as far as the frosty buds go.

Yea if you do some googling people do it often mix led with hps theres a bunch of growers who say mixing led an hps gives you best of both worlds with out the cons and an even better full spectrum..

From looking at pictures buds can get super long hopefully with new light i gain some head way. My 150 is currently at its highest point might be able to gain one or 2 more inches if i rig it. But my light is prolly less then 12 inches away. I have LST to pull them lower but again my tent is only 4x2x5. Exceeded the 2ft depth. Drip bucket and plant are over 2/3 of the 5ft height maybe even 3/4.
Super crop if you have to.

Run a duct directly from one of your 6inch fans to your hps bulb and exhaust it out or as close as possible as long as you keep the heat down I'm pretty sure you can get really close with hps they thro alot of heat where led is alot of Intensity at the very least it will help with heat stress I have mine exhausted with a spare 4inch fan I got off ebay. I shut down the 6inch at night and run only the two 4s for ventilation saves me some power and noise lol

Penny i did super crop, can i do it again higher up? Led will hopefully be here 31st. Mike my mini sunburst hood isnt vented. But i did drill holes in my bucket to run hose for dwc, and drip, although dont really want anymore growth. I think they are okay as far as heat besides the other day when checkin ph i have to lift the pot out of the bucket and rest it on top so i believe on of the leaves touched and burned bc there are no signs anywhere else.
I've super cropped one of my plants a coupla times. It seems to really have slowed her down.

It doesnt need to be a vented hood just put the duct as close to the bulb as possible without getting in the way mine isnt either I just have it hooked to the front of the reflector it picks up all the heat look at the hps in the pic I posted last front left light. My bucket like yours so far is working very well as dwc the clone thats in it is starting to take off good roots too I would use the ring but I fell like if I do it will be over kill on the water the hydroton wicks up alot just from the bubbles the air stones make.

@Agemon slowed down in a good way or bad? Mike what is the hydroton? Its a drip system its not a whole lot of water so they are constantly exposed to air water is there if needed, although for it to dry a bit i do have the air pump on a timer. Shes drinking a ton of water now tho i believe i put well over 6 cups of water this morning. Not sure if its the cold or the switch in nutes from veg to bloom but last 2 days ph has maintained 5.7-5.8 without mw having to go up or down. Only thing ive done is add fresh water. Oh and not sure if u ever read about me wanting to put guppies or a beta in down with the roots, the concept works just not sure if it would have enough of the right nutes. Cause pretty sure fish wouldnt survive in them.

My buddy did it with the fishes I havent myself I do wana try live soil tho, I really wana find the best soil/hydro mix so you get great flavor with hydro growth... hydroton is the name for the expanded clay pebbles.

Oh gotcha well ill let u kno what the dwc does in addition, in the beginning had flood n drain just didnt kno how to make it work with such a large root system. Then rest was drip, now both.

@Pennywise question for you. As i approached flower ph was easier to maintain for w.e reason guessing as plant matures it balances its enviroment? That being said im just under 3 weeks and for the first time ive not had to ph down, normally its off by .3 to .6 max but last 3 days no change if anything its dropped by .1 a day. Seems eating as slowed but , consumption of water has maintained. Which again doesn't make sense , as i add water should dilute solution. But i guess that means shes just drinking and not eating is that an issue?
