Are GROW BAGS supposed to have plastic liners with a drainholes in the bottom

Right on ya,a cable tie-rap get it..what about a Burndy or a hose clamp.
That's mot all those grow bags you see they are 10 gal, weigh about 10 lbs or more after flushing. Those bags had plastic liners in em,so I took the liners out for air and drainage, but the plastic liner was designed into a weak burlap bag that tears open after 6 months. So I wrapped her up in sheet and then more electrical tape.
We had a white fibreglass heat resistant tape in the deptment,so I covered part of the split on the branch, gave it a squeeze with my channel locks to tighten the crackup.
Photo only shows 1 problem, but its my first grow and she is now 6 months. She has a few leaf turned left type genetics but from the toxins, and in my opinion under watered. Althou I flushed her about a month ago.Leaves have been dropping off also. This ProMix granules application follows a dry app before water, not diluted before, takes me back to the label tomm, and if its soluble I'm on it.
She needs to flower badly but I'm stubborn with my clones..lol.
I may have 3 to follow her strain down the road as a standby.
I won a bunch of regs in a jar guessing contest,so hoping to produce a bunch of seeds. That reminds me.
I need to contact the donor and ask the strain.
later

PS I like the cable tie idea better than the tape job,moe grip yep
Thanks for that tip bro..appreciate it Bill284 passed 3 stages yet ?

Injurys to plants are like broken bones,so align, splint, strengthen, cover, tie, and watch for pests.Possibly a drip solution of willow water until recovery in a few months, when the cast can be removed before that extra growth spurt does damage to her delicate skin.
Thanks all for the tips and interest in my grow J

When I have a split like that or even a big branch sticking out I’ll tape it ahead of time. Before I bend or super crop a branch I’ll check it’s base. If it looks like it could break away I’ll tape it above the connectob and then pull it down. If you have had your heart broken by a terminal failure of a branch you learn. It’s an old saying but it’s true. An ounce of prevention.....

It may look like shit. But I have those branches cranked right over for a month before she goes into the flower room. You have to be careful though especially with zip ties. They will eat into her as she grows making a weak spot if left too long. That’s why I use tape as a preventative measure.
keep an eye on the zip tie and cut it out before it becomes a problem.

Showing now is a great edition to your grow gadget list. The spec tech options vary alot with other microscopes on the market.
This one test with flying colors for my purposes.
Main uses for me will be bud stages, and the odd bug hunt.
It connects wirelessly to a fone or tab well. Also to a PC on USB,on a free program to d/l.
The scope has a battery for portability,so no wires at the investigation site.
Takes pics & Vid either way.
The App works on all platforms and is free
My choice was the Jiusion F210 Model
Pics attached with no water marks

Have a Great Day :theband:

@013 @others @lollypoppp
Got mites and larvae in soil ..Yada Yippie Kayee :(
Critters are on both sides of foliage and live in 3 stages visible in soil shown in foto of soil samples today.
Sprayed fairly heavy on both sides of foliage with Garden Sulphur ( 1 tblespoon to 1 litre water),Soap and water, and doused soil with the same.
Will repeat every 3 days for 3 weeks while drying somewhat with fan and temp 75 F

Video's not allowed here so you can't see the action live..sorry haven't figured out Utube uploads to this site yet.

Ran a live bench test on live mites & larvae IN SOIL using the Sulphur mix and waiting for them to stop looking at me oddly.
I have no NEEM OIL but could possibly try a Vegetable Oil mix. on foliage.

Any help appreciated..pass it on to the experts please,my tagging users here is difficult anytime of day.

Thanks in advance
P.S. Ever feel like you need a HOT shower ?

Support the weight of the limb, make a splint, tape it up - you’ve got this covered!

Oh crap I see critters, let me catch up reading again. Check your pms Herby
PPM's 6000 were off the chart last week, flushed as post above and was waiting for her to dry out. Then my microscope finally arrived..lol,so now a new ball game starts.
So today I'm analyzing soil and leaf, testing killer organic solutions.
My remedies are working, but the trick is to kill every last one which woll take a few weeks.

Nice microscope Herby!

Hey I’m going to see if @NuttyProfessor can swing by to offer input on your mites & larvae, I’m in the middle of the night & pain is bad again so I’m going to crash for a bit
Ok,no problem, its just a plant ! Hope your feeling better.
Our pains started this year,so the grow was in prep for happiness in a bowl.
Were laying out a vinyl plank floor in the basement now and the stagger pattern is causing delays, but never rush is my motto.
Never Rush..There's mountains, hills, trees, water, sunshine, flowers, people where I live,so why go running around the planet?

Yes I got a chuckle out of the 6000 ppms. I’ve told this one before about ppms but I take well water and squirt in fish goo fertilizer until the water is brown, a tablespoon of down to earth 5-4-2, a handful of kelp flakes, a scoop of diatomaceous earth and mix it up with paint paddle drill bit, when I stick a ppm meter in there the display flashes..... “Run its quicksand“ and the best part is my soil grown plants don’t care!

I battled fungus gnats and spider mites from spring thru summer and into fall in 2020. I would get them beat down and they always came back... but I’m very much an outdoors guy & have dogs so there’s a trade off.

best of luck Herby & keep us posted!! stop by mine anytime

Ok stopping by yours grow J
I'll bring my pipe and camera too
Thanks for those thoughts bro, appreciate the typing pains

Hope something there helps out! Nothing spectacular on mine right now kinda between runs but yeah bring pipe & camera - make yourself at home!
Cant see to type right have allergy eys ^^ now for 3 days

Fungus Gnats
Critters dying off slowly, above & below ground.
I ordered pucks of Mosquito Dunk with the bacteria in it.
Althou soap & water works.
H2O2 also works.
Yellow stickys yep.
Apple Cider deluted right on the soil and Cinnamin kill larvae.
Not sure about the Garden Sulphur fungicide yet.
Drying out the pot after flush is a pain.

Time and persistant patience will tell

Yesterday Jan 9,2021
Re- Fungus Gnats infestation
Top inch of plant soil dried out.
Cleared out and relocated two bags of soil in house to garage.
Also checking my mates house plant soil & leaf under microscope. (Another Green Thumb ❤) but only a soap sprayer, without a microscope in mind.
Applying soap spray,Garden Sulphur Fungicide,H2O2 3% 1:4 Parts water to soil and foliage for 7 days now and not seeing larvae on sample this morning, but a fast runner with many legs showed.

Douced the soil to depth of 1" or more with h2o2

1 plant in Veg seeded July 2020
Infestation only discovered last week.
Flush last week, results above ppm high 6k
Temp low 75°F
Fan on
Yellow stickys up
BTI on order, but may take a few weeks to arrive.
Mosquito Bits another option.
Reading up on other remedies and insecticides.

Fungus Gnats & Mites
Not Root Aphids
One scotch
One bourban
One beer
One weed plant
SHE'S takin a beatin over the last month with sprays ,drenches ,soap, prerethrin, & BTi bacteria are going to do a number on this compost heated soil ,but I don't think it was the mix I concockted , but the gnats were always in the house minding their business until Acid Mother arrived then it got obvious to me there was a problem (short for Bacillus Thuringiensis subspecies israelensis) is simply a natural soil bacterium, non-toxic for people and animals.
Mosquito Dunk or Mosquito Bits should delete the Fungus Gnats. Hard to get in Canada but allowed in thru the border.
BTI does not affect plants or interact with fertilizers.
A good drench but not to runoff since its a bacterium you want it to remain & maintain the roots health.
Neway weed is a hell ofa tough plant,& can take a beating.
She's so dried out the leaves are falling off,and some stems dried out but the larvae ain't likin it. ( larvicide ).
Bti produces toxins killing the larvae.
But keep in mind that different types of Bt are meant to target different varieties of insects.
No mites to be found under the microscope, will be doing another soil sample this week lookin for pupae (4 stages) I think they said.
Almost transplanted her but bit the bullet to slacken the stress, hoping the roots didn't die off too badly.
Added a few recent shots

Today

1} H2O 4 litres
2} Dish Soap spray drawing one hand loosely from the bottom of stem up and spraying as I go to get a good coating on the underside of leafs.
3} Diatometrius Earth is vivid in all her house plants now but she still thinks I'm experimenting with her loved ones.
Not much else new.

Tommorrow

Turn 73 years old, catching up with my partner.
Might roll a stoney :lot-o-toke: or 3 :blunt:

The dried leaf from the Acid Hybrid Bonsai is quit smooth, and burns like a chimney flu out the back garage door overlooking the Great Lakes. Spring has sprung in Canada and vaccines are not available yet for humans under 80 unless your in a trial.
Your just a fucking number anyway so why sweat it.
My brothers 17 year old got covid & licked it.

All clones slowing went to heaven from stress and Bonsai fitness.
Thanks to 013 spotted the leaf indicators she wasn't flipped
I'm not sure how to maneuvere this blog to message a user.

Recent foto's today, shown below,no vids since its a pain in the arse.

Mother Acid Hybrid seeded July 2020
Stressed due to mites & Fungus Gnat infestation 2 months ago.A few Mites and pupae still around but it takes time to irradicate the little fuckers.
