This is got to be one of the best threads for generating sales I have run across. Very cool to have a breeder on the forums not just the banks (which I appreciate also). For them to be around to look at grows and comment is very helpful and welcome.

Great grows guys and gals. I have to get a few Ace seeds.

A few pics of my two A5 X Malawi 's and two Thai Chi's.

You can see where i already SC'd this last one . Really helps to slow her upward growth down and give lower growth a chance to catch up. Cheers.

Hello all ACE seeds fans. Now that ACE is a sponsor I wanted to have a place to show off your ACE plants and possibly coax Dubi from ACE to participate when he can. We don't really have a vendor forum so I was hoping this could act as one. There are a lot of growers here on the Mag that run ACE genetics that would like some guidance or input about some of the strains ACE offers. So go ahead and post pics and questions and let's see if we can make this a go to place for ACE! I'll get it started with my current Thai Chi just flipped.
Can you get them thru true north seed bank

I had to chop my Panama 1 today at 8.5 weeks. I was seeing more bud rot each day.

total wet 252 and 28 more with the rot. I washed the affected buds and will dry them and use them for squishing some resin.

the beginnings of rot

biggest cola lost 11g wet of 28, those upper buds all had it. Salvaged the rest

what a rack!

Whats your thinking on how the bud rot started? @Hash Hound

Hey Kismet, I never did figure that one out yet.

I know when I have an extremely healthy green plant with buds this fat going past week 7, it's hard to avoid.
I'll get it about 25% of the time. I'm pretty good at spotting it and keeping the loss to a minimum.
One of my first grows had a huge fat cola and I lost over an ounce not knowing what it was. I'll get it on smaller buds occasionally but again, they're usually the healthiest green at the end.
My buds have been a bit leaner over all since I changed grow rooms. And I left the Pan1 under a P300 the whole time, maybe that's why those buds were so much bigger than her sister plant.

Even if I skip the last watering before a harvest, those thick colas stay real moist inside.
Also could have been the humidity, but the room has AC and isn't really that high.

Panama 2 in the room right next to her is way leaner and fading fast. Totally red stems, but no redish/pinkish color of hairs like I was hoping for.
this was last week, I've pulled a lot of yellow leaf since then

Bud rot on the Panamas ...hmmm, has me very leary of running that strain now. The colas are surely to get very large , thick and heavy ....like i said hmmm!
Have a good day HH and Kismet.
Well Duggs I’m sure yours will get much thicker than mine... and idk how dense or thick my colas were compared to HH, but I had no problems with bud rot and my humidity was 55-65... pretty much all trough flower. I personally would love to see you run it!!

Sometimes getting bud rot can be a blessing with plants that are taking a long time (not that this one did), because if you aren't going to treat it, it kind of takes the decision of when to harvest away from you - when I used to see bud rot taking hold I would just chop it.

I've seen a good bit of bud rot this season on various plants, some just hidden on a single cola like above. I really think it can't be fully avoided, just minimised.

I've been using a tea made with Horsetail I picked locally for the past week or so and it really is helping, I've also added a bit of organic liquid cold pressed seaweed to the tea, so spraying it as a foilar feed. I believe if you start spraying it as a maintenance dose early on in flowering it will almost prevent it from even starting, it is also very rich in sillica so really helps the plant grow strong buds, etc.
Look it up, sometimes there's an easy organic sollution just hiding nearby.

Good luck, and those buds look just so tasty, I hope it's as enjoyable to smoke as it is to look at.

Peace

Most excellent post Pyro...thank you sir!

I'm not too sure about the next 'four'. I'm thinkin i wanna give a couple Durban Poisons a go. What other two...dunno yet. Gonna think on that one some!..Cheers bud!

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to trying more Ace seeds, what to grow next is always the big question, I have a Zammy growing now, but I really would like to grow a Banghi Haze, I think it could be a suitable candidate for small grow and I could really make it work in my restricted micro grow cab.
I actually specifically placed two seperate oders at Seedsman a few months ago for some Ace seeds as they were doing a promo on free Banghi Haze, I had placed the 2nd order before the 1st was even shipped, so I was looking forward to some Ace seeds and some bonus BH freebies, but alas I got some subs instead, on the first order I got Guatemala as a sub and on the 2nd order I got Kali China as a sub. I'm sure they are both great strains but not what I was planning to grow. It's no big deal and I'm looking forward to growing them at some stage in the future.
Frome following this thread I've now got a rather large shortlist of Ace seeds I wanna try, so I might just order direct from Ace and pop a few Banghi Haze in the order as well, but Panamaa Haze x Malawi is in there too :thumb: so many choices.

Peace

Like we always keep sayin around here. So many strains..not enough time! ACE definitely has many strains worth the time ..and they are working on new , very cool stuff too Pyro. This A5 cut that Neiko and are growing is very special. The A5 X Malawi's, A5 part comes from a special 'cut' of Neville's Haze from way back so....i'm so stoked to be growing it.
i have a feelin , it may kick my ass ,...being a Sativa.
Cheers Pyro...enjoy your night .:passitleft:

Oh, I'm enjoying it, some nice Amnesia Haze I harvested last week, early sample tasting very good, if I can remember what I was doing - lol.

Interesting, I may just skip the classics and jump into the new stuff, where might one get said A5 x Malawi cut that you speak so highly about ? :-)

Peace
