A Video Journal With Pigeons420 - 2016

:laughtwo: How do you get them all out of your buds - I'm smoking mine and coughing, so it must be the red hairs!!

They have a tendency to fall off in the jar or container you use to hold all the buds. I wouldn't recommend removing them by any other means, as this would probably be a bit evasive and strip a lot of greatness of the buds.

Pidge - your vids are great:bravo:

Keep on rockin the cannibas:passitleft::passitleft::party::passitleft::

Thanks a lot bro! Appreciate the feedback! I'm having so much fun!!

Might even be safe to say "Pigeons is starting is very own business!!!!!"

I have found that by the time the stems snap it is way too dry and your cure has been degreaded due to way over drying.
Takes 3-4 days drying time for me depending on room humidity. Also I always wash my plants which makes them dry a day sooner. Previous to washing it was 4-5 days.

This is one of those facts about budwashing that people discount as our wishful thinking, but it's true. Washed buds dry faster and cure better IMHO.

We did it, Gang!!

Successful germination!!

I recently went to Rapid Rooters. I highly suggest you give them a try Pigeons. I soaked the seeds overnight, dropped them into the plugs and I had seeds pop up two days later. Then it's a simple matter of drop them into the no-tills before the tap roots even break though the bottom of the plug. I couldn't believe how quickly and effectively these things germinated.

From this.....

....to this, in two days. These are autos, so the impetus was to get them germinated and transplanted with no disturbance to the roots at all, if possible, because autos are supposed to be planted directly into the finish pot. These plugs made that dream of controlling germination in the no-tills while also getting them buried quickly come true. By the time the seed pushes through the surface the taproot is already three inches long, so I watched for any movement at all and buried them as soon as I saw them starting to push through. Look how well it worked.

I wish I had your germination success, but for some reason I struggle with it. These may solve that challenge for me and give my seeds an extra boost at the same time.

:laughtwo: How do you get them all out of your buds - I'm smoking mine and coughing, so it must be the red hairs!!

There are waaaayy more trichomes in the buds. You're coughing all the time because what you grew is that superior to anything else you've ever smoked. Smaller hits dear. That's the best approach. :battingeyelashes:  Smaller hits let you get more oxygen in too, if done correctly, and that always enhances the buzz.

Might even be safe to say "Pigeons is starting is very own business!!!!!"

Well, this was nice to hear. I hope this works out on some level. You have a talent for this. Exploit it, at every opportunity.

Let me grab the bong, jump back to watch the video and join you in a hoot. I also love the sound of your voice in the morning. :hugs::hugs:

Excellent as usual pigeon :)

Sue.. I believe this too..

I have told my husband that ...when we harvest I will wash one part of one plant and not wash the other part from the same plant..he will smoke both and see difference for him self!!

I never got back to you about the harvest video, but I took some notes when I was watching that one, so let me take another hoot and share those thoughts with you.

Harvesting With Pigeons420: random thoughts on watching the video

- I love the idea of creating a strong vortex in the first bucket before dipping. I can't believe that never occurred to me before. :laughtwo: incidentally, I use to be nonchalant about measuring the lemon juice and baking soda, and then one day I did measure and was shocked at how little I'd actually been using. Now I add more than I did before and see a difference in what gets washed out. Something to consider.

I know I've mentioned this before somewhere, but with dense buds I dip and swirl until I see no more air bubbles escaping.

- Because I process mostly for oils and edibles I don't trim much off the plant. I take the tips of the sugar leaves only, the part without any noticeable sugar. I say "noticeable" because every inch of the plant above ground has trichomes. Most are only one cell high.

- I always start first thing in the morning, before sunrise, and I ALWAYS forget to put on some music. That's 100% of my harvests, performed in the dark and in silence until daybreak. I know, I'm a bit weird. :laughtwo:

- Maybe it's all those years wearing gloves while stretching skin for Dale's tattooing, but I can't make myself wear them. However, I'm a careful trimmer who does a minimal amount of trimming, so this works out well for me. I appreciated you showing that little twirling motion with the branch you're trimming. Neat!

- It was cool how you tilt the pot to get the plant over the work surface. The window screen...... nice touch. Would have never thought of this, and I have one leaning up against the wall in the hallway. :high-five:

- I've always trimmed from the bottom. It's easier to see where you want to trim next.

Ok, I'm awake now. The BioBomb capsule just kicked in. :cheesygrinsmiley: Have a wonderful day Pigeons, :hugs:

and everyone else as well. :ciao:

Always love when you're here, Dawling :passitleft:

At this point, I have little desire to change this method of germination (unless for pure experiment (which I have done)). I just find this was to be WAY TOO EASY. Plant, water and come back in 3 days.

However, I do see myself going much larger scale. And this would require a more effective way of determining quality of seeds. I would probably then put few dozen under a damp paper towel in the dark in order to weed out the weak ones. (No pun intended). Perhaps the rapid rooters would be of assistance there??

A partner and I have decided to start a business associates with gardening and I'm SOOO excited about it. I'm keeping it on the D/L until we can hash out some particulars. I love your support and the moment I get concrete details I can't wait to share them!

Excellent as usual pigeon :)

Why thank you!

I bet your husband notices a huge difference. And I bet it starts with peace of mind long before he smokes it. After a good budwashing conversation, I always ask people "what's there to lose?" Their answer every time is "trichomes" and I respond back "how do you plan to store your herbs? Because unless your going to hang your buds upside down in an environmentally controlled box. You're going to lose more trichomes storing them than you will washing them".

:high-five:

You're advice and critic is priceless. I don't get these enough. It's nice to hear that there's always alternative methods and that people succeed at gardening following completely different strategies. Although, I have to admit, I'm pretty certain my "no glove" days are done. I even have a"Trimmers Hand Cleaner" and I don't use it very often.

We've reached 231 subscribers!! I'm astonished by the support and attention we've gained and it's because I have a solid support system here cheering me on. I can't explain how touching it is to come back here and get a breath of fresh air after I feel like I've been out "in the wilds of "public life".
I really want to make something of that channel because I know that there are people out there that were in the same position we were in just 2 years ago! And how far we've come?!?!? Maybe we can help others skip the first 2 years and all the troubles that come with it and guide them to a land of bountiful cannabis!! :dreamy:

Sending you all my love this morning Susan! May today be bright and please get out and allow others to take it that smile of yours!

:hugs::Love: MUAH :Love::hugs:

Here's a special one today!

I've started my application process with Health Canada and I'm on my way to being 100% "legal" (I use "" because it's only legal cause they say so. I've considered myself legal for a much longer time than that)

Here's how you do it!
