A SIP Grower's Guide To The Galaxy

The Kuahy Kush is doing well, even though it gets to 100° in the garden shed at times. I suppose that's due to its naturally hot and humid origins? Also check this clone! I topped a couple quad-lines and planted the cuttings, and one of them rooted!
I'm not sure what to do with the clone, because I doubt I'll let it share the box with my Kush.
We'll see!

The Kushy Kush is a tight node little broad, but I'll continue her training until she's the size I want. She's going to be my first experiment in mass-defol. I'm going to grow her low and super wide, then strip her to only the top 3 nodes on each growing top, full lolipop with nothing below the canopy. No net, just wire ties and such. Not sure what I expect the difference to be, just doing what I've seen other growers do and it looked cool.

This SIP is also a No-Till.
I just ripped the old plant out of the dirt, let the box sit for a couple months, and planted a new seedling in it. The dirt seems to be really hot still, I haven't given the Kush anything but water and she's a nice dark green. This is my first no-till, so I'm wading into unknown waters with this one.
I got sunburnt on the boat, so I'm gonna take it easy today. Do some visiting with fam and check up on my garden, easy breezy Sunday. Let's roll!

I grow lots of other stuff too.
Check the Ashwaganda, it's looking to start making berries. My jalapeños should be turning dark green any day now too, they are gonna make awesome poppers!
... and then there's my little princess and her babies, standing in front of 7ft tall tomato plants.
It's a jungle round here.

Bend me, shape me, anyway you need me. As long as you love me, it's alright...

The Kushy Kush is training herself. I've only installed 2 tie-downs, the plant decided to spread her limbs, all on her own. Probably getting into the flip zone now though, don't want to spend every day after work supercropping to stay under the lights.

Dude, nothing here is fucked...

Kushy took a beating today. I stalled out on the lst and had to supercrop this heifer! Looking like a bomb went off in the center. Those stems were crazy thick. She still not getting any real nutrients other than cal/mag and Remo Micro. I'm tired as shit, so this was the best I could do today. Working 18hrs a day till the holiday baby! Getting that cake!

I really need to learn to trim better. Things are getting out of hand in my jungle oasis. Harvesting some beautiful purple tomatoes, jalapeños, and Cucumbers right now though.

Enjoying a nice Saturday morning smoke. Been hot as hell, almost fried me to a crisp yesterday. Gonna recoup at home with the kids this weekend.

I burned out.

Gave so much time to my business and family, that my gardens suffered.

The kushy kush grew up big and strong, with huge bud stalks, despite being completely ignored. Bud rot set in though, while I wasn't watching. The 100°+ Temps and high humidity were too much. Probably 2/3 of the plant is unusable. I'm not in my feels about the loss of bud, just unhappy that I didn't give the plant her chance to shine.
My big outdoor garden had a bumper crop this year, but I wasted 3/4 of it. Didn't pickle or freeze anything. Just not a good year for my plants. I didn't even plant a fall crop, just let the spring crops continue to produce since they are huge and vigorous.

The season is slowing down now though, the slump that comes before the big winterization run. I'm starting to get caught up with life and the tertiary jobs that have been orbiting my daily schedule. The trucks and heavy machinery are getting serviced, and the shop is getting cleaned up. I even had a chance to get out, eat a nice steak, and play some roulette!

I'm only growing herbs in the winter from now on. No worrying about heat or bugs. Just easy breezy plant interaction. The summer is just too hectic.
I ordered some new seeds, so I'll have a volunteer chosen for the winter grow shortly. I'm thinking a nice purple, or something super flavorful...

That Bastard B-Rot was hiding in my SIP reservoirs, he attacked the shit out of my last 2 plants, but I found his Trap House and shut that bitch down!
Went in there with the heater! Bleached everything in sight, then flipped it all over, and bleached where the sun don't shine! We're squeaky clean now.

I'll be planting 2 seeds today, after I make some breakfast for the fam. ( I'm southern as hell so it's Scrapple, hashbrowns, over easy eggs, and biscuits with butter and honey. )
I'm not 100% sure which seeds yet, but I'm leaning towards Black Domina and Cookies n Cream.
Let's Roll Baby!

That breakfast sounds great! Love me some scrapple and eggs. I'm gonna tag along....get those beans planted. Have a great Sunday.

Mixing KNF OHN. I'm making Seed Soak Solution for the new seedlings. Plus check these awesome little SIP planters I got on clearance at the 'Mart! Gonna grow strawberries in em, I think.
They were only $8 each homie! Marked down from $25 (highway robbery!)
I decided to grow the Black Domina and a rando Bag Seed. I dunno why. It's just a decision I made at 1am in the garden shed. I'm owning the decision though.
Growing that bag seed baby!!!
Now we wait...

4 seeds - 4 failures.
only one popped, and immediately damped off. What a waste of $80.

I need to figure out what the problem is. Is it my dirt? Is it the seeds? Is it something I'm doing???
I planted 6 bag seeds in my old school seed tray to test things out. I can't have failure-to-fire scenarios, they drive me Loco.
I'm nervous about my entire seed bank, they were subject to high heat in the garden shed... what if I fucking cooked the whole lot??? I have around $500 worth of weed and vegetable seeds, I'd be heartbroken if they were decimated by heat damage.
I guess we'll find out.
Let's roll!

Worm castings will fight off damping off disease for any you do get to sprout. I put a thin layer on the soil and mist it in well.
I added it to the mix! I've been told about it helping to fight off damping, so I always add in atleast 5% castings, but she died off in 72 hours. :rip::lot-o-toke: it's killing me! I usually have a 98% success rate with seeds of any kind, weed, flower, or vegetable... but right now I can't get a damn thing to grow! Is it because I bleached the entire room??? Have I killed all the good micro organisms in my environment with chemicals, and now I just have the bad ones?? Something has to give here!

Mixed in is not the same as a light layer on top since damping off is surface disease. The stuff you mixed in is still good for other things downstream but right on top is what you want. Also a light fan stirring up air in the room and  gently across the surface of the pot can help as well.

I got the fan blowing, but I hadn't put a worm dirt crust on the top. At this point, I'm ready to try just about anything to get this train moving. I couldn't get a seed to pop if it were grown by Orville Redenbocker!

I'm going to put some growing plants in the grow shed, to show these mother lovin seeds how to grow! And to maybe bring some good vibes and micro organisms with it.

In all reality, the 100° temps probably killed or maimed all of my seeds, and I'm pissing in the wind with the best of intentions.
It didn't kill my living plants, but I think my entire seed bank may be trashed. Just the way things go sometimes.
I'll go out this week and buy a fresh deck of vegetable seeds and see if I can get something green to pop up. If a new pack of vegetables pop for me, I'll know the score and plan accordingly.

The dude abides.

Ps. Check me burning a huge nest of ground bees! (Yellow jackets) Little bastards stung my neighbor in the face when he was nice enough to cut my grass, so I mounted a sneak attack at 3am. It's War... and war never changes.

I made Water Soluble THC Powder. Man that stuff is crazy.
You get high as hell in 10 minutes and then it's faded away in an hour and a half, very similar to smoking a joint.
I like to shake it up into Gatorades and sip on it all day.

I had a bunch of over-cured weed, so I used it to make the powder. Just popped that stuff in the Levo2 using the French-press hack, and made about a cup and a half of super high potency oil to start the process.

I'm taking the kids to Disney so I need something low-profile to keep me buzzed in the "Happiest Place on Earth".:ganjamon:

Is that the stuff made with tapioca?

Just an FYI, if you several drink Gatorades, with multiple tablespoons of malto-weed powder, for a couple days straight - you will swell up like a balloon.
I feel chubby as shit today bro...🐘🦬🐖 I may have to go back to RSO.
