A Push For Something More

How have you been @StoneOtter ?
I hope you and the misses are set for the winter months.

Well, the residents in the flower tent have either been harvested or in a dark period before harvest.

The tent has been cleaned out and re-configured for a DWC grow. It is time to start working on keeping her under the net. My current plan is to allow her to flower for a couple weeks at 12/12 and then possibly use some light manipulation to ensure I have a 4x4 canopy. If I do decide to use light manipulation the schedule will be 21.36 on and 12 off.

Once, I start playing there should be noticeable daily improvements.
@Prescription Blend and @MedicGrow the show is about to begin.
Please take your seats.

Stay safe, and grow well my friends,
Tok..

cant wait to see how this goes,,,,following along closely my friend esp my grow being a photo fem it gives me more options to try new things as the auto went well and was well pleased with the results it took a few mistakes an errors trying to get the next one up an running but I did try to do to much but lesson learned lol so yeah the Alien Gorrilla doing great so far just going into wk5 veg and looking to take some cuttings and keep her in veg for now,,,,,so when would you start to take cuttings and what is the best ppm to keep a mother plant happy but not pushing her hard,,,,at the min Im at around 480-520 ppm with the GH M+B 1:2,,,( with a 300ppm tap water base)

How have you been @spab1311
I need to stop by your journal again and refresh myself with your grow.

For a mother plant, I think the range of 500 ppm's give or take is an excellent range using GH duo part 1 & 2.

I can't remember who the grower is right off, but he's had a mother plant for two or three years.

I am a seed grower currently, but who knows what the future holds.

Just caught up. Man Tok, you have the infrastructure and organization thing down. Very clean. The White Widow looks lovely! You got some interesting color on some of those upper fans which looks attractive. She’s dense too. Great job. Can’t wait to see her all scrogged out.

Wow, I got company.

I will make some coffee and hide my collection of fine plastic table ware.
Someday it will be valuable.

Thanks for stopping by @spab1311, @StoneOtter and @Jon

The Bruce Banger in soil will be harvested today.
The other White Widow in water will be put into flowering today, or tomorrow. She is a lot small then many of my other scrog grows, but I think I still can get her to fill a 4x4 net. It just might take some light manipulation to do it.

In the next couple of days, I will also pick another strain to go under the net when the White Widow is done. I plan on doing two DWC this winter and come spring give my Grow Box a whirl. Scrogging the Grow Box may be interesting to see what she will yield. It is just large enough to fit two plants in it, but I will only be doing one, on the safe side.

I am way behind on strain reviews, so I need to get hot on that.
A review for Dosi, Fruit Candy, Amnesia, OGKZ, White Widow, Bruce Banger and older one like Green Crack, Golden Tiger and maybe more.
That should be enough to keep me busy for a few days.

Thanks for stopping by.

I think I grew Amnesia once, not sure. Can’t remember.

:rofl: :rofl: :rofl::rofl:

Sorry, couldn’t resist. It was sitting right there. Lol!

Hi Tok,
Your screen name reminds me of my favorite author. Not sure why as the spelling is not even really close. But ever since I first saw your name it clicked with J.R.Tolkien. Now in my mind I imagine you as some sort of little hobbit fellow. That is a position of prestige with me.

I appreciate you stopping in and helping this old hobbit. 👩‍🌾

Thank you for stopping by @Maritimer

Lately, I have just been reading to may sure no one steers you off course. I will be close by if you run into a problem.

I grow in soil during the summer months, but I really enjoy playing in water and watch her meet her full potential faster.

If I had to pick one of the two, I would go for DWC hands down.

I agree with you on
J.R.Tolkien
I think the Hobbie, and the Trilogy of the Rings is what got me into reading for enjoyment.

Time for another update.

The White Widow is finishing up her first week of flower. She is consistently averaging three quarts of water daily, and this normally comes with 80 to 100 ppms drop. PPM's drop approx. 400 ppm's in three to four days. This will help in the next week when she starts her stretch.

Did you take your seats @Prescription Blend and @MedicGrow
I knew this was going to be a long grow, so changing bucket sizes help me save enough nutrients to get thru this grow.
The nutrients are working out great and she is sucking them up daily.

I will be putting my Fold-8 Led on 80 %, and that is with my current light height of 16 inches. This will need to be adjusted regularly.

Next week is an important time when scrogging; tucking her back under the net two or three times a day. Directing the branches to make her grow in 360 degrees circle. The side branches will fill the rest of the net. This is when you really make or break a full net. The object is to direct four of the healthiest branches to grow toward the corner, one for each corner.

Still with me, sorry if it's boring; the dab bar will re-open shortly. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 🧑‍🤝‍🧑
:theband:
I told the band to play the bar tenders song.

Where was I, Oh Yaa.

If she takes off, like I expect her too, within the next two weeks, she will have a large transformation (hopefully).

If I don't get the reach I need for the full net, I may use light manipulation to get additional stretch. Time will tell, but I may need to change her solution change schedule from seven day to five if she continues on her current pace of consumption.

Enough for now.

Some images of the last week and first week of flower.

That's all folks.

Stay safe, and grow well my friends,
Tok..

She looks really healthy Tok. Look at her pushing up on that net!

I'm getting ready to start flower in my RWDC and I'm thinking about going from MC to Prescription Blend in flower. Are you using it at 100% per their chart? What PPM is that? Anything else I should know?

What a difference a few days makes.
She will fill that net in no time.
Lovely lady Amigo. :yahoo:
I had a great run using @Prescription Blend in flower this summer.
Excellent results, smoke is fantastic.
Followed the schedule exactly, except for extra calmag and a little Terpinater.
Soil and coco though.
Ok back to the dab bar.:roorrip:
Take care.
