A Numpty's First DWC: Autoflower Grow, Almost A Complete Fluck Up

So now what is happening is the two seedlings in one tank are doing ok having added a set of leaves but one has signs of cal deficiency with some copper/brown on edges of part of one leaf. Other looks ok to me.

On the larger plant, it has added a lotf small leaves below the main leaves and added a set of large leaves above the main leaves present in the pics above. The new top leaves are showing some spotting on the leaves and the older leaves are showing severe copper brown spots/patches with one or two looking 70% covered in them.

It is a repeat of what happened before... get new growth then the lower growth gets what looks to me to be calcium deficiency which spreads to the new leaves.

Auto - EasyBud 3 plants - DWC

This is where I am at at the moment.

I assume I am in early flowering....no knowing WTF I am doing...:)

Lights still 24/7 but added a blurple 40w led thing that is probably really crap.. Added 90 degree glass lenses to the cobs a few days ago. Replacing the reflectors.

Bent the right hand plant a lot to get it under the scrog net then went back a day later and moved it about a bit more as i was worried I had overdone it / done it wrong.

Older plant is on the right (2nd pic in)

Was getting what looked like Calcium deficiencies all along until I upped the nutrients, possibly wilting due to light intensity.

Have just changed the tanks and nutes are a little higher than I wanted but I added more Flora Bloom. Ph a bit low on the right (older) plant tank.

I have partially swapped out 2-3 times now trying to get mottled leaves to go away ... 2nd set of seedlings seem to have don,t a lot better then the first (right hand) plant which is now at something like 8 weeks old and had quite a few leves pulled off that were badly mottled.

Dropping the temp inside tent by using fresh air from outside the house. Was up at 26 C which may have contributed to problem as I understand now that this strain prefers temps nearer 20.

The discrepancy between your meters might indicate one or the other needs to be calibrated.

Some more stuff I learnt.

My initial carbon filter was complete shyte. Switching it to a premium one which was twice the price has resulted in much lower heat and the tent sides are nicely sucked in now. The other filter has gone in the bin - it seems to have had about 1/4 or less of the airflow. GET A DECENT CARBON FILTER

My big tanks are not getting a especially bubbly using the supplied 2 inch ish diameter air stone balls that came with the tanks. Swapping them out for 15cm flat air stones is like night and day. A thin bar air stone wasn't much better than the balls.

Not getting any flowers - plant is now at least 8 weeks from germination.

Switched it from 24/7 to a 12/12 light schedule 2 days ago.

I'm seeing some pre-flowers there. The flowers will soon follow. It can take two to three weeks after the flip.

Thanks.

Can I put the plant back in with the other plants that are on a 24/7 light schedule or do I have to leave this plant on 12/12 or some other light schedule ?

So today I have learnt that some people think

"Seedlings, clones, and mother plants can be successful with just 200 to 400 μmol∙m-2∙s-1 PPFD. For plants in the vegetative growth phase of cannabis 400 to 600 μmol∙m-2∙s-1 PPFD can be sufficient. Flowering plants will benefit from more intense light with 600 to 900 μmol∙m-2∙s-1 PPFD"

So you are basically wasting electricity and wearing out your lights faster by going over these levels ?
Presumably it is better to have more lights on lower settings giving overall better coverage than a smaller number of lights on full blast but missing bits...

You won't wear out the lights faster. They may actually last longer at lower power. You do waste electricity. This is why I prefer lights where you can adjust the intensity and keep them closer to the canopy. I think the best improvement any manufacturer can make to their lights is to add an easily accessible control for this. Having it hidden within the power supply, and requiring a miniature screwdriver to adjust the intensity is not my definition of 'easily accessible.'

On left - 2 younger plants in flower on the right a single plant same strain thats 3 weeks plus older - been moved back in main tent.
