A Martian Alchemy: Turning LED Into Gold With The FC3000

For science!

Mmm. Yeah, nah. I could pretend to make a virtue out of it, but it’s more like* laziness that I thought I’d get away with.
*in as much as fatigue like this kind of looks like laziness.

I’m in with the waiting thing. I was going to up pot today, then I was like......nah.....
Nice close up shots with the rover today.
:thumb:

Cheers DAB.
Here is a close up in reflected moon light, taken outside the grow room.

She’s coming down in a few days.

Good strategy to leave the lower growth on to test the light penetration! :thumb::cheer:

Mmm. For science. I’m all about the data.
:nerd-with-glasses:

I thought that too.. bravo :thumb:

mmmmmm that bud looks delicious.....mmmmm would love a cone of that nugget

Nice setup, you mentioned you were leaving the lower flower sights for 'science' I highly recommend this. You have separated out the wasted light waves from natural light outside and increased your plants ability to grow inside without it. Mars Hydro knows this and has produced quality lighting providing exactly what these plants want as far as photons go. It's up to us to get the rest done trying our damndest to kill them with whatever else we do lol
The more even the canopy is the better those lower flowers will develop although they wouldn't be wasted if you progressive harvested the taller colas before those, just leaving it to grow how it wants and trimming the lower sites away steals some of the plants ability to produce enough energy for the end of flowering. I'm using Sir Sheds LST methods and getting very good results under my MH lights with some autos. GG

The CPK is Sugarleaf‘s go-to favourite atm. I just rolled up the last of last month’s harvest of it for her. We’ll make sure you get to give it a hoon somehow or other!

Thanks SnS. I like the way you’re thinking. It’s incredible to me just how good this light is. Mars must have put some R&D into it that’s for sure.

I have pulled a few yellow leaves from under the canopy now. I don’t have a meter, but if a leaf is getting less than 200mmol/m²/sec that leaf becomes an energy sink, ie. a waste of npk’s. I assume when a yellow leaf falls off when touched that it had been getting less than the 200.

I’m not unhappy with the penetration, though. I think it’s fantastic how much light there is under the canopy. Especially because when the last plant came out two more went in. It was already tight in there!

Now there are 12 in my 4’x4’ room

I’m about as happy as a donkey can be with all that.

That’s why I’m not doing staggered harvests though, SnS. If any part of a plant is done then I need that footprint for the next one. I still have a few in the veg tent that are already too tall to be in there, and only one spot coming available in flower in two weeks’ time.

First world problem :slide:

Thanks for coming by :love::peace:

Larfy lowers get squished for rosin or infused into oils. I don’t count it in my measured weights so it’s just bonus material.
Airflow is my main concern in there. There’s a dehumidifier in there somewhere which helps, but I need more small fans. I had quite a grunty one in there before I hung the FC3000. The fixture is too light to hang still in a breeze though.
Solving that is kind of my list of thing to do in there atm.

:laughtwo: Yes, mine's been rocking back and forth when I put the fan on.

I'm joining the tenters' club. 2x MO(a)B 2x Girl Scout Cookies. These clones need a bit of love yet but they'll be alright. 20201022_210358.jpg

Looking good brother. Cant wait to get my own Fc3000. Check out the link I posted for the review of it. Stellar info.

I saw that you’d bought one. Good choice, mate. You won’t be sorry.
(I was kind of stoked to select an unnamed light from your lists of specs and it turn out to be this FC3000).

Haha that was the point. I didn't want anyone to be biased just because of the brand name. It is awesome tho that you picked #2 cause that in fact was the FC3000 lol I'm glad I got it too, cant wait to receive it. Seriously tho, that review I linked above (watch it) is what sold me 100%

Thanks for that link, CB. That is a very thorough review. I didn’t have any questions left about the light after reading that and watching their video.
Good to see the par map for my sized space, too. I feel like I’m driving it pretty hard in there.

Good review eh, it convinced me instantly when I seen his par maps and how detailed everything was. Super excited to see how close to a pound I can get from 4 plants ;)

Your running a 4x4 Or bigger?

Kind of pissed off this morning... those clones I grabbed from a local came with 'surprises' and I'm not in the mood to deal with this again - especially indoors in my brand new tent. I should've cut my own or selfed some seeds.
