A Little Old A Little New

Congrats on another sweet harvest. I may have to look into a pair of those reading glasses, those are great looking nugs.
Ya know it’s amazing how I thought my eyesight was good enough until I trimmed buds. Try out the glasses they’re like 3 bucks and they have different magnification levels. This one was the 3x version since I’m half blind

So I think out of all the stuff I spent money on during my growing adventures a 3 dollar pair of 3x Walmart reading glasses has improved my trim job more than I could’ve imagined. Will post some pics of the 7 different strains soon when I weigh it all out but overall this was my best looking harvest yet and I’m excited for the next one already. The 3 Xmas bud plants have been placed in the flowering tent and have been sitting under 12/12 since Friday so the goal now shifts to making sure I do this strain some Justice and become the cool uncle again this Christmas when I give my niece and nephews bags of weed as presents
Just make sure they aren't women's glasses George :laugh:
Beautiful looking buds :green_heart::green_heart:
Nicely done

Well this sucks. 2 of the 3 Xmas bud plants in the flowering tent have revealed their masculinity. Was really hoping to get lucky and get a 2/3 or 3/3 but one is better than none I guess.

Moving along nicely in the veg tent. Taller one is a feminized Bahama mama. The 2 smaller two week old plants are blissful wizard and the two small seedlings are Hollywood pure kush x sunshine daydream from strayfox gardens. Going to try and get a harvest every 2 to 3 months so as the plants in the veg tent get bigger I will be transferring them to the flower tent. Next up after these 5 will be a few packs I’ve been wanting to grow out badly from bohdi seeds . I’m gonna go with black triangle which is triangle kush x 88 g13 hashplant, Sundance which is lemon Thai x Wookie and peach hashplant which is peach romulan x 88 g13 hashplant. Here is a pic of the veg tent and the lovely lady my 79 Xmas bud in the flower tent. She looks awfully lonely in there she needs some friends

That's why I wet three hoping for one. In a four plant grow I will get four females hopefully the mix I wanted.

Yeah normally I germinate a lot more but the tent space was limited and I rolled the dice.

Bahama mama has been flowering since Saturday the 79 Xmas bud is on day 18. In the veg tent the two in back are blissful wizard bx1 and the 2 in front are Hollywood daydream. Germinated two more last night of Sundance from bohdi seeds which is lemon Thai x wookie. On my next run I plan on growing a couple g13 hashplant hybrids leaning towards black triangle and peach hashplant

Starting to get some frost on the Xmas bud plant and I’m pleasantly surprised and a little shocked that I’m getting a sweet lime and pine smell from her. I was expecting pine but not lime so it’s a pleasant surprise since lime happens to be my favorite cannabis smell. I’ve discovered that the freebie pack I germinated a few weeks ago are not only not freebies but they’re also feminized so that’s a plus. Apparently the mother plant in that cross is supposed to be a good one it’s the butter pheno of sunshine daydream bred by Bohdi seeds and everywhere I looked it was talked about very highly so I’m excited for that one as much as I am for this Xmas bud

@Bill284 I'm gonna need your expertise on my next grow. I've decided to buy a bag of coco coir and I want to experiment a little bit and see if I like it better than the Promix that I've been using. Just a few things I wasn't sure about, that I wanted to ask you. When I germinate a seed in Promix normally I just give a little bit of water enough but not too much to drown the seedling. Everywhere I've read it says to water coco daily but would that still apply to a seedling? Also, do you feed just once per day and do you skip feedings and give ph water at all or just feed every time? I'm planning on running 2 seeds of the same strain one in Promix and one in Coco and compare to see which one I like better.

Woohooo :yahoo:
Good morning my friend.
Congratulations on moving up to the big leagues. jus kiddin.;)
I started with bx and eventually switched.
Tried various methods and have a pretty slick way of building a pot now and I add a couple things for root health.
Your seed , just keep the coco moist.
No need to water it until you have a tap root.
Then just keep it damp at first then start watering daily as the tap grows.
You using a solo to air pot?
It's a simple set of rules for coco.
Feed full strength nutrients every day to run off at exactly 5.8 ph.
What nutrients are you using ? Salts in them?
And No plain water ever.
Always keep your coco wet though.
I suggest you have a look at my pictorials I use perlite to increase air to the roots.
Anything at all you need, I'm always available.
Talk soon.

Just germinated 5 seeds the other night and I planted them in coco this morning in solo cups when they grew tails. Moved the 2 Blissful wizard into the flowering tent to go along with the Bahama Mama at day 16F and the Xmas bud at day 32F. Not going to be able to get the temp/humidity optimal for each week of the grow since I will have a couple in there staggered but I'm thinking as long as I keep my temps between 75-78 and my humidity between 50-65 I should be ok just might not get any perfect crops which I have yet to see anyway so this is the best I can do in order to harvest enough plants to get me by. The two left in the veg tent are the Hollywood Daydream fems, so now the plant count is 4 in the flower tent along with 7 in the veg tent which will be dwindling in size once they reveal their sex. Here is some info on the 5 I germinated, I'm really excited about this one and I've heard some really good things. The breeder is Bohdi Seeds and its a Triangle Kush x 88 G13 hashplant. here is some info on the strain.

The Black Triangle strain is an Indica-dominant marijuana hybrid with Triangle Kush as its parent. The breeder of the cultivar is Bodhi Seeds. This rare cross won third place in the outdoor Indica category at the 2018 Santa Cruz Cannabis Cup.

It is pretty potent, with a THC concentration varying from 24% to 25%. The CBD content is 0.87-1.07%, depending on the cuts.

The cannabinoid testing measured and reported on this strain is as follows:

  • CBC 0.4-0.88%
  • CBG 0.15-1.1%
  • CBN 0.23-0.32%
  • THCV 0.2-0.68%
These active compounds give the plant its medicinal and psychoactive properties. Combined with a high THC amount, this weed should be left for veteran smokers.

Aroma Profile and Main Terpenes

The plant and its buds have a refreshing pine-like aroma, accented by sweet undertones. This unmistakably unique smell proves that the Black Triangle weed strain is rich in phellandrene and caryophyllene. Upon a deeper inhale, the aroma profile takes a more pungent turn. Potheads with keen noses can also detect vanilla scents that remind them of marshmallows. The valencene terpene is responsible for this diversity of aromas.

Uses and Medical Properties

Expect to get heavy-hitting and long-lasting effects after smoking the Black Triangle strain. At the start, users experience a euphoric and relaxed high that makes them happy and uplifted. It hits the mind and body and fills people with deep peace. It allows smokers to get rid of all negative thoughts. After several tokes, their mind settles into oblivion. Then, a sedative state couples with a buzzy body high, and people drift off to sleep.

The strain produces various effects that can be applied to multiple medical conditions. It is helpful against:

  • Inflammation
  • Chronic pain
  • Muscle tension
  • Insomnia
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Appetite loss
Overconsumption may lead to possible negative effects that include:

  • Thirst and dry mouth
  • Rapid heartbeat
  • Dizziness
  • Anxiety

Some flower pics. The Xmas bud looks hungry I’m gonna up the nutrients on her tomorrow when she gets fed I don’t like how pale she looks she’s definitely deficient of something

Garden looks good healthy and neat & clean. :thumb:
But I agree with your assessment.

Yeah it’s low ppm I took it very gentle with the fertilizer I was trying to avoid nutrient burn but didn’t give her a heavy enough feeding at week 3. Looking forward to growing in coco and feeding every time so I don’t have any guess work

I have the seeds in the solo cups now. I used a half of a shit glass full of ph water to dampen the coco and I’ve got a pray bottle that I was planning on misting the coco to keep it moist. Do I just keep misting until they grow their true set of leaves and then start giving 1/4 strength nutrients ? I feel like such a rookie now I have no clue about coco

Getting them started is similar to soil.
No big difference as far as getting the first set of leaves.
Your difference starts then.
As you say 1/4 strength or less to start is fine.
Gradually raising as she grows.
A touch of root growth product at first is important.
Are you using microhize, probably spelt wrong. Dynomyco or something?
Slowly introduce calmag after a few days also.
I can help out as you need.
But my objective is to build healthy roots as fast an big as possible.
The healthy plants a bonus.
Solos are my favorite.

No I ran out of Dynomyco and I won some photo contest on another site back in January and won two big bags of the stuff but the Dynomyco rep never got back to me and I never received my free bags so I have nothing for the roots. I do have some Recharge left I believe and some tribus and mammoth left over from past grows. I was going to ask about the Calmag, the nutrient that I've been using says not to use it that its included in the mix but everything I've heard about coco says to add calmag when their seedlings. I made the mistake last grow of being cheap and using some off brand cups and they had ridges in the sides and when I tried to pop my plants out of the cups to transplant they wouldn't pop out and I had to cut them out so this time I made sure I have the cups with the smooth walls so they slide right out.

Good Morning. :ciao:
How much calmag is in your nutrients?
I find them hogs for it and feed maximum dosage every day.
They usually have a bare minimum avaliable to the plant, in nutrients with it included.
Recharge increases microbes at roo level if I'm correct?
Should help.
I use Bokashi & Frass Dynomyco right in my coco.
Creates microbes and fungi to feed my roots for me.
Unfortunate they didn't stock you.
I've been disappointed by them before.
If you can get some I'd recommend it.
Don't fret about the cups.
I have to cut them out aswell.
If you don't then you didn't wait long enough.
I use a clear cup underneath so I can see the roots.
Helps a little.
Talk soon.

Not sure about the ratios in the nutrients here is a link to the stuff
It says not to add any that it could screw up the ratio
